Fort Bend County not added to FEMA disaster assistance

Texans affected by Hurricane Beryl may be eligible for FEMA disaster assistance. Residents in 15 counties, including Brazoria, Galveston, and Harris, can apply for a one-time $750 payment for essentials like food and medication. However, a county that says they needed the most is not eligible to apply.

Most people don’t have power or internet access so what’s the work around? Why isn’t it enough that the Mayor and CenterPoint know that we are impacted so much so we haven’t had power in 6 days now!! This is insane!

They know the path of the hurricane and Fort Bend was on the east side of the hurricane eye wall taking a hard hit. Why do residents even have to fill out anything especially without power?
