No, it’s not. It’s taking them seven days. It’s getting ridiculous. We overpay for electricity and this provider they should’ve done better. They had seven days in advance before the storm and it’s only a cat one. It’s bullshit and you’re covering for them. Do not compare line workers to firefighters, my father was a Houston firefighter. They’re not the same they will never be the same firefighter save lives, not lineman.

You’re ignorant lol the only reason the grid gets fixed is lineman they are needed. And essential. They are the backbone pussy you do this type of work you couldn’t hack two hours outside. I am one of the lucky ones who got power back early on day 4. I know how miserable just those few days were, so I can understand people feeling frustrated. So am I a born in Houston, Texas. And ur right to call me out on that, I should really be saying we use to be a God fearing Nation. But now it is becoming everyday like Sadomma and Gommora and God is going to destroy this Nation, and I fear that so I do pray 2 Chronicles 7:14 upon this Nation. But if u think back a few years back when then Mayor Sylvester Turner, allowed Hollywood stars to come and perform here in Houston, Texas they brought all kinds of evil and wickedness into this Nation. This is the only county that has 24 Christian music and prayer 7 days a week. And u are right false profits in every church, and people need to cry out to God for Mercy and Grace upon this Nation. If you look on tube for The Church of the Lord Jesus' Christ in Splendora, Texas you will receive the true Word and knowledge of God. A word not taught in any other church. So I pray u tune in to hear the word of God, that will save your Soul. And receive this invitation to the Church of the Lord Jesus' Christ. God loves you and wants to save your Soul . This is like no other word, were the Spirit of God will give you life. Thank You Jesus'.

This is what happens when you have entitled people who demand things but can’t figure out how to act appropriately. I’m guessing these people who are acting like this are the same people who feel entitled to free 💩

Hard to believe, I only witnessed great respect and appreciation for the line workers during the outage. This sounds like typical MAGA gun freaks out here in Texas welcome to our life.

I'm not black by the way however, it seems you'd rather attack someone personally instead of staying within the confines of the discussion at hand: CenterPoint f'ed up, the City of Houston and the Fort Bend County gov't f'ed up and are now gaslighting the gen pop. Not a good look especially if they were either incompetent, negligent, or allowed it to happen. Either way, they Failed.

Oh heavens, when we have big power outages here we thank the line people, we especially thank the ones from out of town. We tend to have winter outages rather than summer outages. In one area with a lot of assorted line problems, those with generators and coffee pots brewed coffee, those with cups contributed (even if they were plastic football party cups), and we didnt complain abiut the noise nor strobe lights through the night like they did in some actual neighborhoods.
It happened more than once when we were in that area and during one of the outages when the out of state crew was asked if they could go elsewhere until morning, we invited them to our area and broke out the coffee yet once again. In the end, they stayed and fixed a lot of the hacked together junctions, joins, and jumpers; we were never so good as we were afterwards. A number of this crew had been taking sleeping rotations in thier trucks in area parking lots. We assured them that if they could and would stay in our area (and keep from being redeployed elsewhere until they had visual confirmation power was actually on) we would find places for thier trucks to park through thier sleeping rotations. A couple of folks down the way with longer driveways even offered thier driveways and to park else where themselves. - Anything to ease the workers to get the power back on as soon as possible with an every neighborhood/ area for themselves attitude.
