Enjoyed stitching with you!
So much fun to hear your answers to these questions. I’m afraid I don’t have answers for a lot of them! Lol. So glad that I was able to help you with the sewing method! Take care, Cynthia!
Really enjoyed your video. You have a very pleasant voice and l like watching you stitch. Thank you
Thank you for watching 😊
What fun to stitch with you today. How beautiful to see your sampler stitched up. Happy stitching.
Thank you so much 😊
This was a great idea. Enjoyed greatly!
Thank you so much 😊
I really enjoyed listening to your answers to the stitching questions.
Loved the video. You stitch so fast. I am left handed and it didn’t look like me stitching. 😄 You are so beautiful in so many ways. See you soon.
Thank you so much Sue you are very kind. I think I hold a needle and a pencil different than most. Everyone is so unique - thank goodness 😊
Cynthia, Absolutely love listening to you, you are very calming. Beautiful work as always
Thank you so much 😊
Thanks for sharing. It's nice to stitch with you!
Thank you Carla😊
I loved this stitch with me and the tag was so much fun. You mentioned Marion lake in Kansas. My parents were both raised in Kansas, Wichita and Newton respectively, and I have lots of memories of my dad and grandfather talking about fishing there. Thank you for bringing back so many memories!
Hi Angela- Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I grew up in Valley Center - right between Wichita and Newton- it’s a small world. Happy stitching 😊Cynthia
I love stitch with me videos, so I really enjoyed this one. The questions were very interesting. I’ve been trying to think of one designer whose designs I would be happy to stitch for the rest of my life but there isn’t one! There are too many that I would miss!
That was such a fun video. I enjoyed hearing all about your likes and interests. i have started stitching up sometimes too. It seems to be a smoother, more rhythmic way to stitch for me. I got a pair of scissors in a grab bag and they are so wonderful to use. Instead of a stork, they have a gold colored squirrel and came with a leather sheath. The sheath says Uncommon Scissors. They are nice and sharp too. Hope you have a great weekend.
Thank you so much Donna. Those scissors sound so fun - definitely worthy of wearing around your neck 😁
Great video, love your sampler. Have a bless day 🤗
Thank you so much 😊
Soooo enjoyable…I get down right GIDDY when I see you have posted and then identify a time to watch and savor! Be blessed
Annette- you are so sweet - Thank you 😊 ❤️
This was enjoyable; thank you Cynthia. You did enable me and I had to go purchase Hannah Katerina; she is gorgeous!! I also love Mary Englebreit and Monticello Stitches Make Me a Blessing, it is in my stash and I hope to stitch it one day. I have done Hardanger and find it enjoyable. I do believe that you could learn to do it via the internet; I took two classes but their are many good books and I bet there are videos that you can access to learn. I learned to quilt via watching Celeste Creates and I am really enjoying it. I tried to look at the pattern in question and it didn’t appear to have a lot of complicated parts to the bit of hardanger so I hope that you will give it a try. The Vintage Sampler charts are very detailed and give excellent instructions; just be sure to follow them line by line as they take you through the chart step by step; I love stitching them. Good luck in all that you do and blessings to you for 2022…………………
Thank you so much Pam. I appreciate your encouragement ❤️
I really enjoyed watching you stitch Cynthia and I don't blame you for choosing to do a voice over. I need to really focus when I stitch so I would also find it too difficult to talk and stitch while filming as there would be too many technical issues to worry about. It was interesting to hear your answers to the questions. This gives a connection between you and your viewers as we better understand who you are. As you speak it feels as though we are there beside you enjoying some stitching time together. A very pleasant and comfortable feeling. Thank you.
Thank you so much Catherine. Anytime I try something new I feel self-doubt. I appreciate your encouragement very much. Blessings, Cynthia
Thanks Cynthia for this teaching podcast…I try to do all the various ways to stitch, if only to relieve the strain on my shoulder, neck, and hand…love the Lucy Beam pattern you were stitching…it is always very relaxing to watch and listen to your stitch we me podcasts…thanks for your stitcher questions…that was a lovely pattern by Suso Reno…she was in partnership with Kitten Stitcher…if you ever locate the Words to Live By…let me know please…take care of yourself and happy stitching ❤️
Thanks so much Loretta. I did some physical therapy for two bulging disks in my neck. It helped a lot but it is annoying for sure. I hope you find some relief. Xoxo, Cynthia
Hi, Cynthia! What a beautiful video! I’m new to your channel, but have now subscribed, and I look forward to watching and learning more. 🙂 I appreciate the beautiful verse from the Psalms at the end, thank you!
Meline
Thank you so much Meline. I hope you visit again soon. I really like your name 😊
@@cynthiabrew-stitchinginthe4125 Thank you! 🙏♥️
Hi Cynthia. You so often speak of the short time you have been stitching and I must say, I have been stitching for over 70 years and every time I watch your videos, I learn something NEW from you. You are a natural teacher and I so enjoy listening to you. Loved this video and hearing the answers to the questions. Some would be tough to answer. God Bless and Health to you, Norma in Boise, ID ( I forgot to give you my favorite designer. I have many to do from Brenda Gervais, working on one now, but I also like Brenda Keyes, Sampler Company and have done many of hers.) Aren't we fortunate to have so many wonderful choices.
Thank you so much- you are very kind. Brenda Keyes makes beautiful sampler - good choice😊
Enjoyed your conversation!
Thank you Leslie😊
This was an enjoyable video.
Thank you for sharing.
Marilyn
Thank you so much 😊
Cynthia, just realized I hadn’t subscribed! Glad you mentioned subscribing. Loved your flosstube. Prayers for you. Have a good rest of the month! 💜
Thank you so much 😊
Thank you that was very nice, take care, looking forward to your next video.🇳🇿
Thank you for watching 😊
There is a nice shop with lots of threadworx and dinky dyes n your neighboring state of Arkansas. The Stitchers Garden in Conway. She also has a great website and fantastic customer service! Love the sampler you are working on.
I’ve got a childhood friend that is a professor at the Baptist college in Conway. Good excuse for a road-trip. Thank you Tammie!
A new fabric shop opened in Euless called Much Love Fabric. I am not buying patterns either but I did hear about a sampler from where I lived in NY so I had to by it for the history from Brenda Gervais.
I will have to investigate. Euless is close to me. Thank you so much 😊
Cynthia, I love listening to you, have been since the beginning. I dont know why I am pouring my heart out to you but it feels safe. I lost my Mom on 01/27/2022. Today was my first day back to work, i lasted until 1000 am and then i broke down crying and had to leave. I dont know what tomorrow will bring. My parents live with my family and I and this has been so hard. I am going to start the blackbird design, hoping that will being me peace. Tracy /NH
Oh Tracy. I’m so sorry for your loss. It is a fresh hurt - please give yourself grace. I’m almost 6 months in and I still cry all the time. It does get better but it is a pain you learn to live with forever. God is near to the broken hearted. ❤️much love, Cynthia
@@cynthiabrew-stitchinginthe4125 thank you Cynthia, today was a very hard day as I had to return to work. I couldnt do it. I lasted 3 hours. Right now, work is the last place I want to be. I am taking one day at a time and it is a struggle at times. Both my mother and myself are breast cancer survivors. I watched her struggle thru this, then she watched me. It is hard to believe she is gone. Thank you for your kind words. I am struggling with my cross stitch at this time as concentration is hard but your soothing voice helps.
Thank you Cynthia. I am glad you got the strength to film after your mothers passing. You are helping me and I am sure others also
Tracy/NH
@@cynthiabrew-stitchinginthe4125 thank you very your kind words.
I love stitching to your videos. This one especially as I didn't have to look up to see all the great things you show. You mentioned the scissors you bought from ebay . Is there a link you could share or more information so that I can try and find them. Thank you!
Thank you so much Joyce. I ran out of time to post all the links and had to run to Tulsa. I should be back to my computer by Monday if you could check back 😊
Hello, Cynthia. Thanks so much for your "watch and learn" tutorial. I've been a hooped stick-and-stab, very slow cross stitcher for 40 years. I'm definitely ready for a more efficient technique. So I'll load up my petite needle which I've never used before and slide into this technique. Thanks too for your peaceful voice and inspirational closing. Blessings to you and your family.
Be patient with yourself. It took me a while to get it. Thank you so much for watching 😊
Hola Cynthia! He disfrutado y aprendido con tu vídeo. Miedo? 😔😔Gracias por tus sabios comentarios.😘😘
☺️ gracias.
Such a fun format for a stitch with me. Your current WIP is stunning!! Thanks for sharing and taking the time to film.
Thank you so much 😊
I don't think I can pick a designer. I like so many of them. And because I love full coverage big pieces I also enjoy a lot some houses like Mystic Stitch or HEAD. But I have to say that I am stitching my first Cuore e Batticoure and I am loving it. ***by the way I am not a sampler stitcher, I like them but are not my piece of pie.
Thank you so much for watching 😊
Thank you for showing your stitching process. I'm a very slow stitcher and my stitches don't look as neat as I would like them to. Watching others stitch is helping me try new ways.
I’m glad you enjoyed it 😊
Hi Cynthia, that was so in. Although so hard to do, I’d pick Kathy Barrick as favorite designer.
I’m working on some wilcket permin Aida in Amber and it has softened up. So I like it fine although fabric flair is my favorite Aida.
Hi Cassandra - I love Kathy Barrick - good choice! I really want to try fabric flair. Thanks for your comment 😊
Hi, Friend, enjoyed watching and hearing your answers to all the questions. The project you are working on is so pretty. I really like Jean Workman's samplers as well and have enjoyed her FlossTube. Take care and Happy Stitching.
Thank you Merritt- God bless you ❤️
Such a beautiful project. It is on my to do list.
Hi sweet friend, been thinking of you and our conversation, hugs Loved this video. Your voice is always so soothing and calm. I was stitching on easy Halloween rules as it was my car stitch today as we had to go to the city for a medical appointment. Got to see 2 of the grands and feb 14 restrictions lift so we will be able to see our other 2. Havent seen them other than a driveway visit at christmas. Have a great stitchy evening.
Thank you Cindy. I’m happy for you to see those grand babies!
I so appreciate your support. We are hanging in there but still need lots of prayers. Xoxo, Cynthia
What count linen are you stitching on
32 ct mystery linen from Victorian motto sampler club. I printed it on screen but forgot to say 😊
I love the project you’re working on Cynthia!! And yes it is hard to stitch and talk at the same time 😂
Love your technique for stitching. ❤️🧵🪡. I too am on a spending hiatus until I get some charts stitched. They are building up.
Thank you so much 😊
