Dude... its me again. I feel obliged to thank you for your previous efforts RE the umc22 driver but this video was the solution. I'm really happy right now. I found a crap workaround that gave me crap latency but it was ok for techno polyrythmns I guess 🤷♂️ Today is a good day!
Thank you so much. I used to record for years but I had a long lapse in recording in DAWS so I forgot how to fix recording latency. Downloading The Asio driver corrected my latency immediately. Salute to you P.o.p.
i fixed it! 😃 i did it by bringing the box size down alittle bit and the hz up alittle bit. I bet by changing these numbers in these directions (im sure ill hit a limiting wall of somekind eventually) i can bring the latency down even further.
This has made a large difference. Having issues with click/pop poopy stuff even at the default latemcy setting, but even at the higher setting its much better than it was. It was so bad before I got asio4all it was literally like half a second latency.
Leaving this comment for all Those who face a problem which says "Device didn't start correctly." Switch off the bluetooth of the laptop before selecting the ASIO4all option in the DAW and the problem may get resolved🙏. ( Not my own solution, but found it on the net and it worked so posted it here for all those who need help)

I was recommended to use this program but i don't understand how it can help ,e, is what i want to do possible with this? Thanks for making this tutorial. I tried using Asio4All a few months ago for my music but ended up not being able to figure out how to use it and decided to uninstall it. Might give it another try after this!

I do have an interface which is built into my Presonus 32S Digital mixer, however because the mixer only has 16 ANALOG audio outputs so I cannot run my analog audio from the DAW into an Analog Mixer to do an Old School type mix down where I can use many vintage outboard audio processors as well as the analog mixer). I want to buy a 32in/32out Antelope Orion Interface and by pass the mixer's Audio Interface (only using the Precous Mixer as a Control Surface for the Studio One DAW sofware). My understanding (although not confirmed) is I can run Studio One with an external interface using ASIO4ALL (like the Antelope Orion) and still use the Presous Digital 32S model mixer as ONLY a CONTROL Surface for the DAW. My only other choice would be to sell my Presonus mixer, which is a great Control Surface for Studio One, and buy a Control Surface like an Icon or SSL system (Which I would like to avoid because of the extra cost involved). I cannot get this to work with behringers UMC22 for nuth'n! 3 hours last night and 3 hours today after ASIO4ALL...when I get sound it's thru WAVE-OUT and 35ms latency. Unfortunately Mixcraft 8 blew up my THR-10 during playback by switching to my (DISTORTED) amp as a playback device. Full track,drums,bass,4 gtrs,and a keyboard at FULL volume....BOOM! 7 years with Mixcraft 5 and never a problem.
As per the video I extinguished the lights on the Realtek High Definition Audio sound card, but the integrated sound card is still working and the sound is still being output to my speakers, in fact it has no effect. Is it a problem with the ASIO4ALL version 2.16 I'm using?
Hi, GReat video. however, Asio4All doesn't work for me. In my case, I never saw the play symbol highlighted as in your. I only see a dark pause symbol next to each audio device. Could you give me a hint on what to try? thank you.
For some reason it won't download. It just says can't write. I was trying to install asio4all so I could record playlist to audio clip, but asio4all in it's default state would crash fl studio upon changing the device in audio settings. Currently checking the image line forums, but I've found no solution so far.
Nice video as usual Zane. It's a little late for me as I installed asio4all a few weeks ago. One thing you might want to mention is that while the DAW has asio4all loaded, your speakers or headphones or whatever your output is probably won't work with other apps. So when my daw is open, I can't listen to RUclips in Chrome. I think some of the daws have a setting that releases the driver when they are not the focused app but not sure if they all do.
Question: Is it possible after Ableton crashes to reset the Asio driver with out rebooting the computer? I'm sick and tired of having to fully restart after every crash.
Great video! Im having trouble trying to plug my mixer to use itwith asio , I have a mx-8T plugged into my pc and my subwoofer plugged into the REC plugs in the mixer . everytime I pick the mixer as the in and out ,it gives me a high screech. I dont know what to do :(
Sounds like you have a loop issue. I’m not familiar with that particular mixer but there must be something that’s creating an infinite loop causing the feedback. This would be with your actual cable connections. Do you have an output connected to an input? Maybe you have the output of the sub connected back into the mixer?
@@AudioTechTV thanks for the fast reply!!!my setup is like this , I have my pc , the mixer and my speakers , the mixer is conected to the pc via USB , the speaker is connected to the pc directly on the back with the P2 cable. so I dont know what Im doint wrong . When I set the sound settings so I can hear my mic , everything is working , i can hear myself , no screech or anything. but when I launch guitar rig the screech starts...ASIO is such a pain in the ass..

I set the asio for my input and the high definition audio device as my speakers. It works but after a few minutes, you will hear a cracking sound from your speakers. Any fix for this? Thanks!
I don't have an iMac or any mac so I wont be able to do that. Also Asio is a PC standard. Mac's have their own standard called Core Audio which is apparently superior to ASIO.
So I have a weird question. I just got Studio One and had an issue with it not playing sound. The settings here helped me get the sound out to my laptop speakers, but with my headphones plugged in it is only playing out of the speakers. Any idea on how to fix this?
If your headphones are usb then you’ll need to make sure they are enabled in the output section of Asio4all. If they are just plugging into your laptops soundcard then maybe there’s a separate output to enable for the headphone port.

It’s very frustrating I’ve watched numerous other videos and have been trying to figure this out for hrs.. if anyone knows why please help. I’m desperate for answers.
Is it an audio device or a midi device? If it has a built in sound card then you might need to install the driver for it. From the manufacturers website If it doesn’t have a sound card and is only a midi device then it won’t show up as Asio or any audio type. You will need to configure it in the midi section of your daw and then use it to control a drum plugin. If it has built in sounds that you want to record and it doesn’t have a sound card built into it, you will need to connect it to an audio interface or sound card using the line out of the e drum kit.
Bro, I use to studio one without asio4all and it's work normally, but my friend told me if use asio4all is better to use but after I download it's alot of latency and sometimes it's bug
If you have an audio interface, there might be an actual Asio driver from the manufacturer that you can download and use. Asio4all is kind of a last resort thing as it’s an emulated driver. You can also try lowering the buffer size to see if that helps the latency. If it’s still not good, try using the Windows WASAPI driver instead of Asio.
Bro, I just tried to go to the website you provided for the ASIO4ALL and the download is for a driver updater and not ASIO4ALL. It actually charges you money. This is very confusing to someone like me who is new to all this.
Is it possible that websites change? I have no affiliation with them to let them know that it’s confusing. They used to have an easy to navigate site and they kept making it more and more cluttered. I really recommend that you check to see if there is a dedicated Asio driver for your audio interface. Go to the manufacturers website to see that. You may want to check out the new Steinberg universal ASIO driver instead of Asio4all. Cakewalk has issues with Asio4all. If your audio interface has its own Asio driver then use that. It will be way better than Asio4all anyway. If your audio interface doesn’t have its own Asio driver then use the WASAPI shared driver type in Cakewalk instead of Asio.

asio4all really help for latency when I'm using Ableton. But, when asio4all active, there's no sound from other application from WMP/window media player at all. Is there any application to fix this issue?
With A4ALL, HOW do you select the sample bit rate? I am using a Bheringer UMC 1820 & at some stage I want to use 32 bit float. DOES the latency bit rate also set it to record @ 32 bit float or not? I can select 32 bit float with wave or wave rt but not in Behringer's ASIO driver OR ASIO4ALL! OR should I only use Asio when doing overdubs, & stick to wav/waveRT for tracking multiple tracks at once like a drum kit? Cheers eh!
Do you know what determines the order of devices in Asio4all? I have several devices that have many in/out and I find sometimes the orders are reversed and hence all connections need to be reassigned in my DAW...........any suggestions?
I'm actually here to learn about ASIO4ALL only because for some stupid reason out of nowhere the FL Studio ASIO just stopped working and is actually coding out and crashing the DAW itself. I don't need multiple outputs or whatever this is for I just want to go back to being able to use FL Studio like I have been for awhile. I just switch from basic speakers and headphones. Anyone know what happened and what I can do to fix this? Also I am trying to set this ASIO4ALL up too but I am not hearing in my headphones.
hi, what can I do if I can not find Mackie PROFX16V2 mixer DRIVER. The manufacture only have for mixers V3. I am trying to connect my mixer with Waveform 12 PRO on windows 10 and does not recognize it. thanks
You could try emailing Mackie to see if a Windows 10 driver exists for that mixer. In the meantime. If it shows up in Windows as something like Audio Codec then you could try installing the free Asio4all emulated driver. It can give a bit better performance compared to basic windows drivers.
Go into your DAW. Set it to use ASIO as the driver type and then select Asio4all as your device. If you can hear things in your daw and record in then it worked. This virtual driver doesn’t really do anything outside of a DAW.

Every time I change my driver to Asio4All it closes FL studio, and I can't figure out why

asio4all really help for latency when I'm using Ableton. But, when asio4all active, there's no sound from other application from WMP/window media player at all. Is there any application to fix this issue?

With A4ALL, HOW do you select the sample bit rate?
I am using a Bheringer UMC 1820 & at some stage I want to use 32 bit float.
DOES the latency bit rate also set it to record @ 32 bit float or not?
I can select 32 bit float with wave or wave rt but not in Behringer's ASIO driver OR ASIO4ALL!
OR should I only use Asio when doing overdubs, & stick to wav/waveRT for tracking multiple tracks at once like a drum kit?

Do you know what determines the order of devices in Asio4all? I have several devices that have many in/out and I find sometimes the orders are reversed and hence all connections need to be reassigned in my DAW...........any suggestions?

It shuts off sound from music player as soon as i enable asio4all on fl studio. Error says another driver is controling the sound. How to fix this?

Asio drivers are for windows so you won’t be able to use ASIO4All on a Mac.
I'm actually here to learn about ASIO4ALL only because for some stupid reason out of nowhere the FL Studio ASIO just stopped working and is actually coding out and crashing the DAW itself. I don't need multiple outputs or whatever this is for I just want to go back to being able to use FL Studio like I have been for awhile. I just switch from basic speakers and headphones. Anyone know what happened and what I can do to fix this?
Also I am trying to set this ASIO4ALL up too but I am not hearing in my headphones.
hi, what can I do if I can not find Mackie PROFX16V2 mixer DRIVER. The manufacture only have for mixers V3. I am trying to connect my mixer with Waveform 12 PRO on windows 10 and does not recognize it. thanks
You could try emailing Mackie to see if a Windows 10 driver exists for that mixer.
In the meantime. If it shows up in Windows as something like Audio Codec then you could try installing the free Asio4all emulated driver. It can give a bit better performance compared to basic windows drivers.

Go into your DAW. Set it to use ASIO as the driver type and then select Asio4all as your device. If you can hear things in your daw and record in then it worked. This virtual driver doesn’t really do anything outside of a DAW.
