I imagine Lockhart just being his own patronus, but with even wavier hair and brighter teeth and equally as incompetent, so he would walk up to dementors and just go "shooo", but nothing happens and both Lockharts look at each other in confusion and then I had to stop the video because I was laughing tears

The fact that Lockhart can even a non-corporial patronus is impressive for his level of talents. It stuns me that he was ever sorted into Ravenclaw. It seems to me that he did not live up to the potential that he must have had.

Have to really give props to Kenneth Branagh for portraying a character so likable and unlikable at the same time.
Seriously! He's one of the most Annoying characters in the book and yet even though he's still annoying, he's one of my favorites from the movies XD :)
To this day if I see that he's directed a movie, I think "did he really direct this movie or did he mind wipe the actual director and take credit for it?"
He is great! Probably the most fun character in the movies. Very quotable, and it's hard to imagine anyone doing it better.

I’m convinced that the real reason Lockhart was constantly trying to “mentor” Harry and be his friend is because Lockhart is secretly trying to cozy up to Harry so he can get some insider information into the sleekezy’s hair potion business, which he doesn’t realize Harry had no idea about
I guess he was just trying to use Harry's fame as a way to boost his own, like, aha, I was teacher to young Harry Potter!

For Question 6: the book Lockhart assigned was called “Voyages with Vampires”, not “Visits with Vampires”. And no, I don’t know how I know that off the top of my head. 😂

I have always liked Lockhart being a Ravenclaw. It's not about what you are, it's about what you value. He wants people to think he's smart. Honestly, I'd have been okay with any of them except Hufflepuff.

The listed source for in the wiki for him having a non-corporeal patronus is the Lego Harry Potter games. So... yeah.
Those are the best video game adaptation of Hogwarts, though.

I played those and pretty much every character in the game can produce a patronus but none of them are corporeal except for Harry's and only during a specific cutscene. So that's definitely not something to go off 😅
Those games are the most canon in my mind. I've played all of them over and over. >.> although I only briefly played the PlayStation live action version of Order of the Phoenix for like 5 minutes at someone's house. So....make that what you will lol. I believe that his would be Non-corporeal if he can produce one AT ALL.
Yeah, if you google “what’s Lockhart’s patronus?” It comes up with a little thing that says non-corporeal with his picture and below is a list of “others also searched for” variations for other characters and they all say non-corporeal except the characters that have known patronuses. Sounds very inaccurate to me.
actully I wonder if Lockhearts patronis would be a peacock, they would fit his flamboyant boastful nature. Malfoy jokes aside it seems perfect.

I believe Dumbledor hired Lockhart to expose him or stop him from wiping the memories of good wizards.
He also did it to show Harry what happens to people when their fame goes to their heads, he didn't want Harry to go down the same arrogant path as Lockhart.

@@mythellaneous2082 Lucius owned peacocks, but they weren't his patronus. I'm pretty sure no Death Eaters ever cast a patronus in the books. (*Umbridge doesnt count.)
@@DharmaB420 Yeah it's been stated that all Death Eaters are incapable of producing Patronuses. However, it's generally considered canon that if Lucius had one, it would be a peacock.

Cornish in British terms usually means from the region of Cornwall, England.
The thing is even in the U.S. there is a type of chicken called Cornish Hen, so it's clearly not a magic word.

When you watch Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone, in the scene with Hermione and the Troll you can see a white shirt hanging in the girls bathroom. We know it isn't Hermiones, because she is wearing hers.

Lockhart was also able to cast a number of simple enchantments successfully, such as the Tickling Charm, Softening Charm, Verdimillious Duo Spell, Knockback Jinx, Tongue-Tying Curse, Full Body-Bind Curse and the levitation spell Alarte Ascendare.
I’d just like to acknowledge my irritation that the stands holding their iPads are holding them in opposing directions. Bens is clamped on the top, while Jonathons on the bottom. And it’s not just rotation because they’re rotated the same it’s just wrong ☹️

Funniest thing about Lockhart's wand is that Wizarding World's page on wand woods specifically says that a Cherry with dragon heartstring core should never be teamed with a wizard who lacks exceptional self-control and strength of mind - definite dig at Gilderoy right there.
