I was fortunate enough to enjoy the 80s era of sci-fi in the cinemas. I can still remember watching Predator for the first time. When Mac yelled out "Contact!" and let loose with the minigun, followed by Dutch and the others, into the jungle...the sound production (for the time) was incredible. Everybody walked out of that theatre in shock and awe. This upcoming sci-fi documentary is quality. Great to see Duke and Ventura providing insight.
I was fortunate to be able to attend the screening in L.A. and I will say that this doc is amazing. They hit most of the major sci-fi of the era and treat them with respect, even some that might not be as deserving. ISoT really took me back to being a ten year old kid and helped to reaffirm why I fell in love with these movies. Good stuff.
I am proud to be part of this amazing documentary! I am looking forward to seeing this look into 80's Sci-Fi and how it not only changed movies and pop culture, but also the world in general. And it will be great to hear from the late great Ivan Reitman about Ghostbusters as well
I am so utterly stoked about this!!! I have always loved sci-fi, ever since I was a kid, and the eighties were truly the golden years of science-fiction cinema. So many classics...and I remember watching most of them when they were first released. Can't wait to watch this. Lol, maybe it will help my son to finally become a sci-fi fan like me!
My, In search of Tomorrow and In Search of Darkness 1 and 2 Blue-Ray's along with the 3 In Search of Tomorrow Posters were delivered today. Thanks guys and I can't wait to start watching them.
Backed this at the "Admiral Kirk" tier on Kickstarter. This trailer really hit me in the feels. I'm so glad I was able to experience the 80s in all its glory. Now where did I park my DeLorean? It's time to go........... ❤😎👍

Oh man that'd be awesome. I've back every singe documentary since I came across In Search of Darkness. Caught it just in time to support it. I've loved every single one. I had butterflies when I saw the first "In Search of Tomorrow" trailer. The fantasy really touched my soul as a kid though. Would love a documentary on that, but they'd have to include Legend!
This is crazy! You get to interview all the top tier stars, including Clancy Brown, Nancy Allen, and freaking Paul Verhoeven! Also, our loving condolences to Ivan Reitman. May he rest in power.
As a proud backer of previous CreatorVC productions, including "In Search of Darkness", I had no doubt this film would be another absolute labour of love - and there was no disappointment here! Unlike those awful Netflix movie docs, there is no sneering narration, or fun-poking in these docs. CreatorCV *know* how much these movies mean to us and don't patronise or insult the audience :). Also insightful to get the geopolitical context in which pretty much all these movies were made; the Cold War (from missiles in Weird Science, to apocalyptic scenarios in Mad Max, to nuclear annihilation in Miracle Mile, and a sidestep into plutonium-fuelled terrorism in Back to The Future). I mean... here we are again, folks.... :(
Early backer an a 1000% product of the 80s and extremely ready to take this nostalgic ride into the past... Gonna make sure I have the best 🔥 smk once this drops.
We just interviewed the Director David Weiner. It was great chatting with him on the making of this doc. If anyone is interested in checking it out, it'll be on our channel Wednesday.
Really excited to see this, I'd been hearing about this crazy indie sci fi documentary being developed for years but never knew much about it or even if it was really happening until I saw this trailer. Question though, is there a regular edition of this or just the special edition? Because that's all I'm seeing.
Another winner from CreatorVC! It's always a pleasure having David Weiner on the podcast. If you'd like to hear the two-part interview we did on ISOT here's the link. Tombstone 41 (David Weiner, Director/Writer, In Search of Tomorrow) (Part 1 of 2) ruclips.net/video/uODjXLrST_A/видео.html Cannot recommend this and In Search of Darkness Parts 1 & 2 enough, either. Just excellent production on all three of these films, and looking forward to ISOD Part 3 ~ Caretaker
Hi, copies are still shipping at present, please check your email and your spam folder, you can also email support@creatorvc.com for help with your purchase
And maybe later they can do a follow-up documentary focusing on the 2010s with all the remakes, reboots and woke sequels that disgraced these legendary masterpieces, hopefully to wake people up 😅😅
@@ShardsOfNarsil It was a satirical joke 😅 But I just hope this documentary helps remind the world what sci-fi action entertainment TRULY is, absolutely no need for political agendas inserted.
Disney haven’t done a good job with Star Wars? Sure George Lucas sold Lucas films for several billion. But keep it to the same quality… I remember being there 1976 Tottenham Court Road Odean 9 am watching the screening and No one had ever seen the opening like that the words just going off into the back ground. We all knew something very special was about to happen… and it was made at Elstree studios, Borehamwood. Those were the days
Greatest time to grow up and watch the movies! The 80s Rock It!
best days of my life as a kid watching with my parents those memories still here

Science Fiction dominates my life and has taken me to so many wonderful places. I’d be lost without it, I can’t wait to see this.

Just finally got around to watching my backer blu-ray copy.. absolutely brilliant!
I am so excited for this! It has been a long time coming. I backed this as the "The Marty McFly" and I am so proud to be a small part of this.
This has been a long time coming, can't wait!
I´m so glad I backed this documentary... so many memories coming back.
Greatest era of cinema. Won't be missing this. Well done, guys.
I'm so looking forward to this.
You introduced me to Akira which is my new favorite film of all time so I thank you for changing my life David Weiner and Creatorvc
Thanks, Joey! You're welcome.

Cain from RoboCop 2 was like pure horror for me.....
The feelings I had, watching that killing machine with the t.v face....
Can’t wait to finally see this
2:35 "George Lucas changed the whole world of cinema."
Luke: "Nooooooooooo!"

Miracle Mile hell yeah
"The Thing"?
is there a list or image with all of the movies featured in this film?
Why can’t they bring out a download version instead of a blu ray version wanna watch this
Check out 80sscifidoc.com you can now stream or buy a digital copy of In Search Of Tomorrow
They should do a documentary for 80s fantasy movies called In Search of Magic
We are already working on that it's called In Search Of Legends and goes into full production in 2023!
What's the movie at 1:03 with the woman with red hair?
Hey Man It Is: Cherry 2000 (1987)!!!
After this, they should do one on 80s fantasy films: In Search of Destiny.
It's happening In Search Of Legends.... www.insearchoflegends.com for updates
Nice.
Where will it be screening?
No V? It wasnt a movie, but mini series first but would surely fit...same goes for The Tripods. Everyone who was there, remembers.
That was TV and our focus was movies.
So, if we weren't able to back this through the campaign, how do we get to watch it now?!
Sign up at www.80sscifidoc.com for when its available again
So where can I watch this? It’s ridiculous that it’s this hard to find any info on this documentary.
go to www.80sscifidoc.com for details of the upcoming flash sale
And where can I get this? It seems to me that it is neither available on blu ray nor on streaming services. And the link leads to "Aliens Expanded".
You can watch it by visiting www.80sscifidoc.com
Song at 2:30?
Volkor X - Gateway (out soon) ;)
@@VolkorX Thank you! Love your work man!
Sean Young saying Rachel was the heart and soul of Blade runner is laughable. Deckard was the heart of the movie.
Where’s my copy at?

Just watched it and I loved everything about it except for the choice of including Wil Wheaton. He is as annoying in real life as he was in TNG.
"The MAGIC of SCI-FI... "
Without even a hint of irony. SUPERB! 👍😊
I think I'd watch this over and over - but I can't afford it.
