I would recommend a Honda Civic/Toyota Camry if you’re looking for a good gas mileage sedan. That price range you can probably find a 13’-14 with around 100k miles maybe even a little newer. I would recommend staying away from any KIA, Hyundai, Nissan (especially with a CVT Transmission). If you’re looking at a Subaru, get a pre-purchase inspection and check the head gasket!
