I really like this song. Once again BabyMetal shows how varied they can be in their sound and how much talent they have. The fact that Tim and Scott finally did this live with them (the song is a couple of years old) is so cool, I imagine being at that concert must have been insane. But then again, I think every BabyMetal concert is probably quite the experience.
Sorry the video froze in the beginning, I imagine we missed some important wisdom from Coach, but at least the rest was ok.

Welcome back to the Foxhole and now going back to Metal Galaxy era.🦊🤘🌅
I wonder what happened with the freeze frame in the first minute.🤔
Metal Galaxy is a wonderful album and full of surprises, you're gonna find more songs like this with more mature sound, it came out in 2019 so isn't so new.
The album version got the collaboration of Polyphia guitarists, Tim Henson (short hair on the right) and Scott LePage (long hair on the left), and it's quite clear in the solo section. Polyphia got a viral clip when they were performing live and having an issue with the drummer IEM not working and a roadie helped him out in an unorthodox way to save the show, very funny clip.
Their songs are mainly instrumental but i think they got some collabs with famous singers but don't quote that on me, what is for sure they got mad skills playing instruments.
Tim Henson said when listening to this song that he would love to play this along with BabyMetal on the stage, he didn't know the final cut when he was doing the riffs on this song.
The dance on this song is beautiful and graceful, they're showing another mature side and more complicated choreography. According to MoaMetal is the hardest song to dance along with BxMxC and Night Night Burn iirc.
And yeah they're MomoMetal and MoaMetal dancing here.
Song is inspired by certain "City Pop" band and Utada Hikaru songs, when SuMetal heard this she doubt about this being a metal song but then the guitars solo were added and all make senses suddenly.
Finally we got them together on stage and with this awesome live performance, it is their first time performing together.
They did it again at Graspop Festival in Belgium and they hug each other at the end just like in this version only thing it was cut out, there's also a proshot clip but I'm not so sure about the sound mix.
They already finished the Europe Tour and they did it along with EC playing their collab song twice at Resurrection Fest in Spain.
Along with RATATATA this was definitely one of the highlights at FOX_FEST and a lot of Japanese fans were looking for, I guess that cool slow pace city pop element gives some nostalgia and that's why many fans love it.
In a recent interview, Tim and Scott talked about a new song in their upcoming album along with BM, let's see what they got but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be something real good like this one.
In a more recent interview BM said that they would love to collab along with Fall Out Boy, can you imagine?👀
Keep enjoying BM songs and see you next time 🦊🤘🔥

I saw this performance live at Fox Fest 2024 in Japan; and while it is another great BabyMetal performance and collaboration, I must agree with Coach that it is not my favorite BabyMetal collaboration. It’s hard to top the sheer fun and energy of RATATATA, which they also performed at Fox Fest. I can’t imagine how any collaboration by anyone could top that. But this one goes to show how versatile and talented the BabyMetal girls are that they can adapt and fit in with almost any other artist, both with their beautiful vocals and choreography. Queen Su is awesome as always, but it was nice that you recognized the incredible, and often underrated, contribution of the two princesses, Moa & Momo. Thanks for a fair and thoughtful reaction. Coach, you guys really should react to “IJIME, DAME, ZETTAI, Live at Sonisphere 2014.” This is where BabyMetal won over a crowd of 65K metalheads at a metal festival in the UK, on their first tour outside of Japan, and many BabyMetal fans think of this as the performance where Suzuka became Queen Su. And the Kami Band guitarists shred like they’re playing machine guns. You should also react to “AKATSUKI, Live at Budokan Black Night” which is a solo performance by Queen Su. Her vocal performance on this one is on another level, absolutely astounding, and there is an awesome dueling guitar solo by the Kami Band guitar wizards. You guys really should check out these two great BabyMetal classics!

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this artistic play at the venue (2 times in the two-day Fox_Fest). What a bliss!! As Mrs. Coach said, the geometric effects on backdrop + by lazor beams are always mesmerizing in BM shows. In addition, sun rising image at the begining fits this song very well. Brand New Day is a refresing song for good start of the day.
Soothing and exquisite performance by 5 elegant figures in the center 😍. Classy incorporation by our Kami Band on both sides (4 guitars in total) ❤ Various elements created by 3 beautiful performers and 6 instrumentalists with virtuosity were mixed and sublimed into one beauty by means of something like alchemy. The actual applause at the end of the song was much much much bigger than that recorded in this video.
They did it together again in Belgian festival on June 20.

The thing about Babymetal's sound is so diversified that not every song is going to hit for everyone, because of that some first time listeners will write them off because what they heard just wasn't for them which is unfortunate and will miss out because of varied music they have put out. I'm glad that you have stuck with them because you have found out just how great a group they are and know that not every song is not going to be your fav but appreciate it any way.
Personally I love how their formation on stage has Su in the back of the V, most lead performers will take the downstage position to show that "Hey I'm the star here, I need to have the spotlight so stand behind me!" which is a bit of a ego thing in my opinion, I don't think Su has it in her to have an ego and is quite happy to share the stage with her gals.

Good reaction. The song is almost 5 years old being as it was on BABYMETAL's 3rd album Metal Galaxy released in 2019. It is certainly one of BABYMETAL's more 'chill' songs ... but BABYMETAL can do everything.
That's one reason their collaborations all work so well as they are so versatile they can do pretty much whatever style and match up with whoever they are collaborating with.
Polyphia is a mainly instrumental Prog Rock band from Texas, Tim Henson and Scott le Page are the (virtuoso) guitarists and recorded the guitar tracks for the original recording of the song. Fox_Fest in Tokyo in May (arranged, hosted and headlined by BABYMETAL) was the first chance they all had to meet up and to finally do this very first live performance with them all together.🎸🦊🎸

@@CoachCastTV It is a song that goes under the radar a bit. To be honest, like you I wasn't so sure the first time I heard it either ... it quickly grew on me the more I listened to it and the live performances are all beautiful - and finally getting Tim and Scott to play it live with them was special.
The Metal Galaxy album is interesting as it has two very distinct halves (the Japanese release was on 2 CDs).
The first half is the Light Side and explores softer, more pop, electronic and international musical styles from around the world ('Brand New Day' is on the Light Side).
The second half is the Dark Side and that is where they have the heavier and more metal songs.

Nice reaction! Finally they got to perform this live, together with Scott LePage and Tim Henson. Took some time 😉
I believe you have no idea HOW well Moametal and Momometal can sing 😉 You could try a double feature with THEIR versions of "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!", where they took the lead for the second half of the song. You will be pleasantly surprised, I promise! Moametal is indeed quite close to Queen Su-Metal regarding her vocal prowess. She is a VERY good singer and has a beautiful singing voice! And Momometal is on another level, despite her youth. She did an AMAZING, but very different performance of this song! Sadly, the most used reactable video of this performance is somewhat botched visually, but at least the audio part is pure Momometal.
Su-Metal is unmatched, tho, as you can hear with this performance of "Brand New Day". High register, but very clean and extremely powerful, with her very special tone that cuts through heavy metal like a laser beam. She is called "Queen" for several reasons 😄

Good one guys! This is one of my favorite songs from Babymetal! While I don't listen to it when I wanna get hyped up, I do have it on quite often when I'm chilling infront of my computer trying to get some work done, along with a lot of songs from Polyphia. Polyphia is an instrumental band that has this very "Blues-y, R&B, groovy" style, with very technical guitar playing. Check out "Playing God" by Polyphia.
On your comment with Momo/Moa being "presented" infront of Su, the girls always see themselves as equal partners. While Su takes lead on vocals, Moa/Momo will be out front doing most of the choreography, since that is a critical component of their identity and performance. I respect them a lot for having that esprit de corps.

This was filmed at FOX_FEST in Japan a bit over a month ago. Although this song is five years old, this was was the first time that Babymetal and Scott and Tim were able to perform it together live on stage. I was lucky enough to be there to see it live and it was fantastic. BND wasn't a song that I was previously that big on, but after seeing this performance it really changed how I felt about it.
Although BND is a Babymetal song, it's very much in the style of Polyphia. Because they are so stylistically flexible, when Babymetal collab with other artists, they tend to adapt to the style of the artist they are working with. When they work with Polyphia, you get a Poyphia sounding song, when they work with Electric Callboy, you get an Electric Callboy sounding song.
Tim revealed recently at Download UK that there is a new Babymetal/Polyphia collab in the works, but this time Babymetal will be the guests on an upcoming Polyphia song.

Momo would probably be in a bad case right now but at the same time she would be in the best position to reestablish the Name. I don't think that Moa would be quite so tempted without her big sister. I think the two big reasons why Su returned are Moa and the Crew or Lack of it outside of Banymetal. It is simply a deep drop to move from the core point of such a system that is more or less build around you and build a new name for yourself without any of your old songs. And not question yourself, could I have done it better. It is a simple fact that she would feel responsible for her whole crew and you can pretty much expect thatvher crew would feel in the same Männer, that shevreturned is aboost for each of them. Yes Tim and Scott's instrumentals are a driving force here but for me it is Suzuka's stunning vocal performance and Moa and Momo's beautiful backing vocals that seal it.
