Nothing like a rough crossing to keep that good ol' sphincter in tip-top shape!!😂
Lmao
Love it. Your boat is a beast. We did that back in the early 2000s. On a 23ft with 2 115hp. That had two different props. Every time you hit a wave the boat would turn hard right. Took us 6.5 hours. Great memories
Long ride but for sure one you will never forget
Radio beach has got some beautiful water. Next time I go I'm gonna experience it for myself. Looks like you had a wonderful time, good friends, good food, good weather ooh man!! thats why they call it Paradise. Lookin forward to your return video. Be safe.
Thanks for watching Henry we got to do it this summer
Loved the halfway point stop and chill. Great footage!
Yea needed a pee brake after so many hours and my adrenaline running
Making me want to get out on my Pursuit, however here in CT it's rained 11 of the past 12 weekends, getting a bit depressed so I'll live vicariously through you, thanks!!
I got you covered till the summer arrives!!
😂 fish don't mind getting wet in the rain 🎉
@@RichardJames101 that’s for sure lol
Great video as always bro. My wife, myself and another couple crossed alone on my 23 Concept this past August. Had the weekend of our lives. Cant wait to do it again. Freddy. Tampa FL
Hell yea Freddy time waits for no man if you can't find friends to cross with then go just you guys!!
Love your videos. I made the crossing with a group of friends on a yacht. I want to bring my boat down next year and make the crossing. Keep posting .
Have fun!
That's what we call an Xtreme Adventure!, Amazing video captain, be safe!
Yes it was. Thank You!
Now that made me tired, rough water will do that, good job!! great video!
Thanks man glad you liked it
Def rough crossing but effort worth the rewards..beautiful waters and scenery. On my bucket list, hopefully this year.
You can do it!
Another great video! I would have probably taken the Cobia, but it definitely looked fun.
Yea she’s would have did a little better but still would have been tough
magical as usual captain,,, safe travels
Thanks my brother
Great video!!! I say it all the time I need to trailer to Florida and just do this with you in my 229 w/250.
Hell yea you can do it!
Swweeeeettttttt!!!!!!! Beast mode!!! Love the video. ❤❤❤ Besafe
Thanks for the comment Gus
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Looked rough but the SH handled that! Worth the run i say!
Def worth it!
As usual thanks for sharing :)
Anytime
I'd be so worried the weather would get bad halfway there. I boat in Florida but just on the lakes. I've seen the weather change in minutes and the lake become pretty violent. I can't imagine being miles out in the ocean and having that happen. I love that the bird dropped by to give you a little company 😂. Beautiful boat !
He stayed around for a while which was pretty cool
Love your show
Hope to go there someday
Thanks man glad you enjoyed it
Amazing adventure
I’m not a boater, but man I love your videos bro✌🏻🇺🇸
I’m glad you enjoy the videos
Awesome trip!
Thanks!
Awesome video as always. I would love to do that crossing but I don't think it would be a good idea to do it solo my first time. I have a 2020 Cobia 220cc that would be fine in calmer days but the single engine is what concerns me on that kind of trip solo. Can't wait to see part two the return!
Yea I always recommend to have two engines just in case especially if your doing it solo
Absolutely my friend enjoy your independence
Thank you 🙏🏼
Great video 👍🏼
Thanks Roland
Damn Bro it was windy as hell!! Im glad you made it alright!!
Yea man it was def a tough one
great video !! next time your in the clear blue water drop the gopro down there on a line for a little view . enjoy it and hope your fueling the boat up in the morning to take a nother trip . be safe and keep them coming
Great idea! Next time I go I will show you how clear it is down there!
You are a beast !
@@anncervi2663 smooth seas have never made a good captain
Bucket list for me in my own boat thanks for sharing
Chase those dreams!!! You got this!
❤
Sea turtle 🐢 between the big boat and him just chilling and the bird 🐦 ... lol
We got to find a name for the bird lol
good job!
Thank you! Cheers!
PFD man especially when by yourself - stay safe!
I have one but did not think it was bad enough to put it on! I did have the kill switch on just in case
You welcome❤
🙏🏼
Sweeeeet! but for your family you should have a life vest on & even more important is the kill switch tethered to your vest or wrist. if you go overboad at least the boat will stop & you could hopefully swim to your boat! Please dont take it the wrong way. Be Safe. Beautiful Boat!
I did that’s the kill switch attached to me
@@MiamiLiving305 Awesome my friend!
Love your RUclips channel shout out to the bird happy Independence Day bimini bay Hilton Bahamas 🇧🇸
@@user-eu4wg7pc3b thanks my brother!! Thanks for being a part of the Miami Living 305 family
Old boy ain't playing...experience can't be bought. Well done Bigshot 😂
Smooth seas never made a skilled captain
@@MiamiLiving305 this comment is underrated.
@@seldom_seen8713 😎
Not to sound like your parents, but when you are by yourself, shouldn't you be wearing a life vest? Otherwise great video!
Eperp
Yes 100% I should be wearing one
@@djl0fne Great for the boat, but if a wave washes him overboard? He could be in trouble. The EPIRB may not activate if the boat does not flip or sink. It would just drift without a captain.
I enjoy your content and do not want to lose you to a rogue wave.
Wear an inflatable and attach a PLB to it.
You handled that trip like a boss. 💪💪💪
Thanks Gil I enjoyed the challenge
He handled it like an amateur. Never fight those northerly winds and the Gulf Stream. Nice boat doesn’t make for a wise sailor
@@dees9502 I’m sure I have more experience in the ocean then you have and again they are not northerly winds they were from the east! If you were paying attention while watching you would have known this as it’s referenced multiple times!
@@MiamiLiving305 I’ve sailed and motored those waters for decades to and from the Bahamas, through the straits, up and down other coasts. Heavy seas entering the Gulf Stream are almost always a sign of northerlies. It takes up to two days for the sea to settle. Stay safe out there and definitely keep the wife home in choppy seas! ✌️
@@dees9502 only reason I was able to make the cross if not she would have been barking in my ear to turn back
Great vid.
Glad you're hooked up to your kill switch.
Would have neen happier if you'd been with a homie or some other boats, but i know you're very experienced 👍
Yea o always try to find boats to cross with me but when no one is available I don’t let it stop me from enjoying life
Lmao 😄 love the Bird ma man he enjoyed the ride to Bimini more than you! You channel rocks nice meeting you Boss
It was my pleasure
3 places I go to n stopped going 2 Bimini us..Elliott Key..Mosquito bank n Alligator reef..that good enough 4me
Those places are nice but you can’t compare the waters of the keys to Bimini! It’s the closest thing we have but not the same
Great video! not sure if you mentioned this in the video but what size is your seahunt? it took the waves pretty well, looking to get into a SH heard really good things about them.
It’s a 30ft gamefish and yes they do well in chop
Solo, that's a no go for me personally. Recommend wearing a vest and locater beacon on you at all times, glad you had a safe trip.
I did have a beacon with me and the kill switch clipped on me also.
Wonderful Boat 😍
It really is!
Nice video man, but please next time if your gonna do it alone put a life jacket on incase you go in my man. I’m a pilot and have flown to the Bahamas hundreds of times and I can tell you the ocean is a big big place bro.
I had the kill switch on but did not think it was bad enough for the life vest even tho it was at arms reach
I went to Bemini last year. We left F3 marina and got to bemini in one hour and half. We caught it while everything was fair.
That’s a good time must have been going about 34-36 mph which is great
Yes. Once you get past the port of Ft. Lauderdale into the open we were moving lol.
@@JTCOOL892 it’s always nasty leaving Florida once you get out there it clears up a little
Really enjoy your boating adventures and keep them coming. Do you have autopilot and if so did you use it on the trip to Bimini?
Yes but not in these conditions
bro definitely ran the stop sign at 20:16
What stop sign lol
Awesome! Would you think the sea keeper system would help?
The Seakeeper only helps with the roll not with the pitch so in these conditions it would not have made a difference that’s why I did not turn it on
Seems like the subscribers that teamed up with you at stilltsville must have turned back? Or were they the ones you met up later in the video? Safety first, still an excellent video, my wife and I loved it...
They turned back and never made it out more then half a mile
Amazing video, can you hit the Tortuga one video
Yes I that’s in my bucket list
I find it really funny how when i was there I got yelled at by harbor patrol for my speed behind North Bimini as it all no wake according to harbor patrol as its a 1000-10000 fine
Been going to Bimini for years and there I just do as all the locals do. You really do not bother any boats past big game marina
Have you went to any other Caribbean country on your boat ??
Great video
No just to multiple Bahamas islands
Nice
Thanks Derrick!
Vest with secured sat beacon and phone is some good insurance
@@Lonewolfx959 I have a sat beacon but did not thing the weather was bad enough for the lifevest
Great channel, just subscribed! I will be headed that way July 19th departing out of stiltsville. had a quick question. can you recommend me your go to for golf cart rental. Thanks
I forgot the guys name but it’s cj or Chris book before you get there
@@MiamiLiving305right on! I’m guessing right there at fisherman’s village?
@@ReelTeaseFishing I would stay away from those! They will over charge you and the carts are shit!
I was just there two weeks ago and rented at entrence of the port and the carts are sht .
Cant really say any of does places have anything good
@@contractorus1337 you can still find some decent ones if you know some people
What size is your sea hunt? We are looking at the ultra 27 and 30, leaning more towards the 27. Would you be comfy crossing in a 27 Sea Hunt?
I mean the extra 3 ft and 100 hp does come in handy when it’s nasty out but the difference is not too crazy
Great video ! This may be a dumb question but it’s possible to cross with just 1 motor in those same conditions ?
yes but it will take you 3 times as long and you might need a change of underwear and dry set after
You should have shot me a PM bro! I would have road the chop out with you and got the gas! 😎🤙🏼 That would have been some amazing content, me puking my brains out! 😂👍🏼
Thanks man glad you enjoyed it
That was definitely a washing machine! Nice job Capt!
Thanks Roger
Me encanta ese azul del agua
Vamos de nuevo
Seeing this video makes me wonder how much more it could take if it had bigger trimtabs
Would like to know that too
Huge fan and sub of ur channel. why go to bahamas and only eat pizza ?? well either which way maybee one day ill make the crossing w my waverunner. prob not but still a dream.
It’s just a tradition and aside from pizza they have chicken wings and lobster rolls! When I go with my friends we also go to joes’s! The pie is our celebration of crossing in a way
Haven’t heard from you in a minute
Where you been?
Crossed in a 237 cobia in 6 foot seas. Took us over 6 hours to cross.
That’s never fun!
Nice video bud, what happened to the other boat that was supposed to cross with you?😮
60 sec in he had to turn back too nasty for them
Guys question Do you think I can go Bimini from Ft Lauderdale with others boats in a SVX 171 with a 115:Yamaha and the Tank is 19 Gallons.
I mean people make it in jet skis you would have to get a perfect window which have been hard to come by this year
Wow that got snotty fast.
Yep
How do you like the ride of the 35 cobia compared to the 30 sea hunt ??
The 35 cobia is way bigger and heavier with a step haul so for sure it rides better but the SeaHunt would not be far behind if both were running in a chop together
the shipping lanes. makes it rough.
The Cargo ships do not make much wave given their size!
What size is your boat? We planning on doing this trip in August 35’ Cape Horn
30ft seahunt
Is it better to go fast in rough waters to cut the waves or go very slow
In the middle not to slow because it’s rougher but if you go to fast you will start jumping out of the water so it’s best to find a good middle ground
What side of the island is radio beach on?
West side facing Florida
Just fueled up and heading to bimini from Jupiter inlet .
I’ll be heading to west end midweek
Nice. I was picking up my throttle man now, headed tp saint pete by dinner time.
@@RichardJames101 safe travels
would have been fine at 45 angle from key largo but you didnt remember what i told you last time what going into a head sea feels like
I would have but it might have taken me longer having to go slower from key largo instead of zipping up fast to Miami and knocking off 30 miles off the trip
@@MiamiLiving305 bro are you serious?.....you added 12 miles to your trip by going to Miami. And it was rougher. Key largo direct to Bimini is 83 miles. Through Angelfish and Biscayne Bay to Bimini is 95 miles.
Great video, has this been the roughest cross to Bimini for you?
Not but it’s up there in the top 5
@MiamiLiving305 wow brother and great call to those in the smaller boat. Would not have been fun for them.
@@sfsaltwateradventures yes and to be honest it would have been a liability for me because they would force me to go slower to not leave them behind and my trip would have been twice as long
Do you favor the Seahunt more than the Cobia?
Depending the situation because in this weather the cobia would have came in handy but a lot of boat for a solo cross
Conditions suck this year
The ocean has been spicy all year we are over due
This is probably a stupid question....but is that scary when its rough like that??? And is it dangerous????
Not scary more annoying then Anything! It can be dangerous if you don’t know what you are doing
Are we ever gonna get to see the Sea Doo again?
Of course
@@MiamiLiving305 😎👍
You rented the golf cart vart ?
yes to get around on the island.
Let that gamefish eat
All day baby!
Anyone heading out towards Bimini this Friday?
Heading to west end this thursday!
Your going to need a deep tissue message by the time you get there😂.
With a happy ending? Lol
I usually hate running with my flags flying. The noise annoys me.
These don’t make much noise thank god
I want to go and use you as a pilot boat!!!
Lol what boat do you have?

Do you have tours for couple's ?
No I have never charted the boat before and crossing the ocean is not everyone's cup of tee
Can you send me the link to house for rent
@@contractorus1337 it’s in the discription of the video
What was your transit time
2:30 min from miami to Bimini
@@MiamiLiving305 wow that's it. Going 25-30kts
@@brandonlee8467 Yep only 50 miles from Miami if you include from key largo you have to add about another hour
It’s nasty because you didn’t check for those northerly winds fighting the Gulf Stream. That trip needs to be planned better
You think I did not know what I was gonna deal with? I mean I called it from the start of the video and that weather for me or not considered horrible enough to cancel my plans! Ps. the winds were from the east not north
@@MiamiLiving305 i hear ya, brother. I’d just personally prefer not to hit the meds after a rough crossing 😆 Stay safe and have fun🙏
@@dees9502 I feel you lucky I’m still in my early 30’s and can take 12 rounds of it, down the line I’m sure that will change
@@MiamiLiving305 oh, it WILL change lol. I have 20 years on you. You’ll start to feel it in about 10 years like old high school sports injuries BUT well worth the memories ✊ it’s precisely why I switched from my last power boat (Mako 26 cuddy) to sailing. My power boat days were mostly fishing off south shore of Long Island off the shelf. Then I moved to SW FL and lived in The Grove for a few years. Now back in Sarasota and keep it to wind power. Planning a trip down the coast to the keys and Dry Tortugas, then over to Eleuthra at some point. With sails I HAVE to watch those winds when battling the Gulf Stream
