The FIAT 6614 in War Thunder is an Italian Armored Car that has a recoiless rifle stuck on the top. For what is basically a Family Sedan with a Cannon on top, this thing is actually extremely effective. It's fast, it hits hard and it's actually annoying to defeat.
The armour is a measly 8mm all round meaning most guns won't fuse on you and even if you are machinegunned, it seems to do very little!

This thing is one of my favourite vehicles in War Thunder. While not as fast as the R3, it still outpaces pretty much everything at its tier. You can get into spots to start hitting people before they even get to the first cap zone.
Equally one of my least favorite vehicles to face because of lvl 100's abusing it, seems fun to play tho

It's not just the Fiat. I've found that on quite a few HEAT warheads they are doing weird things now with physics objects and doing damage through indestructible obstacles. I think the APDS nerf bugged out some HEAT shells.

I've been using this constantly for the past 3 months and it's my favorite at the moment. Perfect BR and its gun being separate from the body makes it really useful in cover. You can just peak and run without having to worry about penetration. One of the favorites on my lineup

This is my favorite ground vehicle in wt. There are just so many tricky spots and fun strats you can use with this thing. Its over pressure is a godsend, and once you get used to the rounds trajectory, you dont even need to use the ranging gun, thus making you very quiet. This vehicle single handedly unlocked half of the Italian ground tree for me lol.
I still use it at 9.0 hahahaha

I do enjoy racing around in the FIAT when playing Italy with friends, it's good and fun without being broken and unkillable.
That was just as good as a dramatic war movie
hey, quick tip if you read this: if you use the airstrike ability, you can press middle mouse button (by default key bind) and that will make you switch from aiming from the map to aiming in third person. While using this, your sight will be very high (higher than binocular view), and you can use this to peak early with information. I have used this to look over walls and hills, and sometimes the occasional tree.
Hey Bawz, I'm wondering if you could play the AMX-30 ACRA, its a french vehicle fitted with a 142mm gun that lobs ATGMs and HE shells, it has a long reload and poor armour at 8.0, maybe it'll be a bit of a challenge for you?
Good suggestion! I quite like this vehicle but hardly ever see it on the battlefield. It is rather tricky and involves quite a lot of sniping which might not make for the best video but I'm curious to see what OddBawZ would do with it.

I find that most heat shells just ignore tree collisions and such atm. I experienced this same thing with the PT76 and M-51 for Israel
I wish that would happen to me. I was playing the m60 this morning and barely clipped a bush with my heat round, which blew up the round.
This thing is pretty fun. I don't have anything else near this BR tho so it's usually this, an R3, and a Breda.

When I use it: *grenade ricochets off the turret of an M22 when shot from behind* , *shooting an M18 center-mass goes right trough it with no post-pen damage whatsoever*
I love how single handedly winning the game by getting 11 kills and 4 assists with no support and bringing in a nuke to end it was a "rough time"

Id just like to add on to the title that the Fiat 6614 and 6616 actually went into service with a good few built. (though most lacked a recoiless rifle or even MG)

This thing was bugged even when I was at this BR with Italy (about 2 years ago), even its market custom camo was broken.
That last match was suprisingly great to watch, suspenseful until the end. that was a real GG

Sound issue is from the last updated and it affected also R3 variant with those guns. Either the way this is fun vehicle and for me even woking up to 8.7 BR
The only difference between this and the r3 t106 is one less recoilless rifle, so it makes sense

This thing can lob rounds over dunes very easily especially at a distance, like that VFW when it first went around the corner was very hittable, kinda crazy

When you hit trees, it's just addition of unwanted cinnamon flavor to your pizza, extra damage to tastebuds of the enemy, while they were expecting classic pizza delivery. There are no bugs, only features.

I play this thing with the hesh round. Its fantastic
It does make sounds if you aren't in an aiming sight mode.
I just earned my R3 and it is a FUN bucket...still trying to spade it, a rough ride as it is my highest br italian vehicle so far...lol. 4.7 br spaa + 3.3br tanks = short matches for this newbie. ;) Working on a tank to team with it atm. I am loving the Italy tree so far, fast and fun.

Gaijin really needs to add backblast to RRs. Everyone on the map should hear and see the flash and dust those things kick up when they fire.

WT's matchmaker happened. Gaijin is fixated on minimizing "wait time" and not player level/experience balancing and quality. So matches are decided entirely upon which side's lvl 100s has the better game. While everyone else is just there to be targets, and lots of players who get sniped in the first few minutes into the game RTB to try there luck in a better game.

Viva Italia! I love the R3 style trucks I almost got 100kmh yesterday running to flank.
I pulled up beside a rubble mound on Ardennes in the streets and it was the perfect height to hide my hull. My gun was peaking and I got 4 kills as they kept coming in. Wacky car

It's not just this tank with sound issues, I had ALL tank engine sounds completely bug out the other day.. It was the weirdest match with zero engine sounds. (Had to restart the game to fix it)
It's mostly gaijin needs to learn to use their sound engine better, even a few sound mod guys have commented on how stupid and improperly gaijin's own sound guys have done stuff wrong. Apparently there is one like one engine sound it, they just change the volume and pitch which is why some tanks sound like they are right beside you despite being a few hundred meters away.

Thing reloads pretty fast for a closed hatch that people have to open take out ammo, place it in, then close the hatch for protection then fire it. I guess Italy can do things fast considering pit crews.

I really hope that they will up the reward for performing players a bit more. I did a nuke, with the 90mm Ebr (so premium), while beeing in a uptier and only got 100k sL (i killed bunch of bradley and other 7.7-8.0) so its kinda mehh when i could get 130k while playing 4.7 with only one premium tank

ODD! First thing on your car channel should be how you installed a recoilless rifle on your car's roof. And two coaxial LMGs where you headlights are just for good measure.
FIAT 6614: The Prince Rupert's drop.
1). Panther F overpen me; yellow transmission.
2). Another Panther (either A/G series), another overpen; yellow driver.
3). Tiger E also resulted in overpen; yellow gunner and commander.
4) Finally, M-22 killed me. Not with the 37mm gun, but the 7.2mm MG from the sides.
I've survived better at handling shots in the FIAT than a Black Prince.
You should play the recoiless R3 :)
