"I didn't make a great impression at clown college"
He's really good at limbo!
Literally the second I finally looked down and saw this comment for the first time, bc it’s the one comment that’s just chilling below the video, and I hadn’t looked down at all, he said it in the pod. Kinda weird
Brand new sentence
8 days sober and this is the greatest speaker meeting of all time. Thank you, Neal and Steve O!!!
Brandon Novak's got great sobriety stuff on his channel too! Crazy that of all the people to 180 themselves out of Jackass, it's Steve-O and Novak.
Right on, man! Keep on, keepin on!
Keep it up homie, one day at a time 💯💯💯
Congrats!! Keep at it! You deserve to be sober👏🏼
You got this homie🎉🎉!!! Just be cautious of the pink cloud. Surround yourself with good and sober people. 🤘💚
Steve-O continues to be one of the best things to come out of that whole Jackass era. I never would've expected him to be alive let alone thriving.
Him and Chris Pontius
That's not saying much
@@stuwest3653 Haha. So why even watch and comment on the video? Just trolling through life all angry at the world?
@@stuwest3653 Nice deflection.
No yeah, he’s a great comeback story
I was at the U of Miami in 98 and met Steve O back then. He showed up and balanced a table on his face and then was part of the skating bmx crew for a while. At one point, Steve O gave me a handheld video camera and we went up to the 12th floor balcony at Hecht tower. I filmed over the railing and Steve O swung from the 12th floor to the 11th floor balcony in the stairwell. It’s been wild seeing his journey since
Neal could not have sounded more surprised and happy than ‘You were a clown?!’ *Sits up reaaaaaaal intently.*
His fascination with performance is really endearing
Could have done a little research.
This is a such a good concept for a podcast. The blend of comedy, vulnerability and real conversation makes every episode so engaging. Neal is a such a good host. Keep it going!
Fuggin great convo, stories I've never even heard Steve O tell. You're killing it Neil.
One of the most perfectly edited podcasts that I have ever seen. Shoutout to the crew who makes this all happen!
I was just about to comment that .. this podcast has the best editing. It’s silently humorous.
I was just thinking the same thing about adam friedland podcast Take Your Shoes Off. Looking forward to this one too after seeing your comment.
I've been watching this for months but never paid attention to the episode count, I cant believe this is only number 38. It's such a well structured and refined show, I would have believed he's been doing this for years.
Right!
That's because Neal isn't retarded.
100%
I’ve always thought even Neal’s RUclips shows had pretty good production value. I loved the editing on his last podcast, How Neal Feel.
Ya he has technically been doing this for years
Never before have I been into Steve-O.
I am now.
Steve, you genuinely sounded like a man, a person, who has evolved. Aging does not always cause this. You did work and it shows.
Rooting for you to have the personal success you seek and that aligns with what's good for you.
I'll look for your future shares.
So proud of Steve-o and Brendan Novak for pulling it all together
Steven is seriously an inspiration. I am glad he is sharing his perspective unapologetically and shamelessly! Anyone can always work towards something better. No one should be deemed as 'unfixable' or feel like poly variant genetic/epigenetic dispositions are a life sentence!! The mind and body can recover from remarkable stress and Steven's life is a prime example of this!
This is the best podcast SteveO has ever done. Thanks Neal!
Neal may have become the best interviewer out he goes so deep and gets his guest to open up
Between Neal and Ryan Sickler for sure, fantastic interviewers!
Steve O's memoir is one of the most memorable books I've ever read. His story is wild.
The thing is, as much as I love what he does, Steve is interesting enough that he could do a stunt free hour and just sit on a stool and talk like Marc Maron and it would likely be even better
Slow handclap of appreciation for the editing choice to have "Bad Sense of Direction" go off to the side and then upwards. I legitimately laughed out loud at that sight gag.
"adults with motorcycles" -- on point as usual Neal!
I also like to picture them like South Park, where they verbalize the sounds the engine makes "Vrooom! brubruburbub"
This has been one of your best, most insightful episodes. I'm glad you got away from that "movie of your life" final question, I didn't think that ever added anything that the previous hour+ didn't already say.
He's going to ask it twice on the next guest to spite you.
Dude. What could you possibly improve on this life arc
I was not expecting this to be the most entertaining episode yet
Super honest and totally owning it. Steve o is the man!
We've got Dr. Drew After Dark, and Dr. Brennan during the day; love it. Would love to see the closing music from Electric Guest released as a full track single or part of an EP.
YESSSSS 🎉
Dying for the drop!!!!
Neal’s really bringing it with the guests! 👌
I've been watching past episodes for a few months, and I have to say, this has been my favorite interview and person to listen to. I never was really crazy about jackass, but always admired steve-o's tenacity
YEAH DUDE !!! 🫏
Have met him and taken pics with several times when he's done Standup. The man!!!! Such a sweet dude 🤘🏻
Wow I have adored and admired him for like 20 years… such a great interview
I found Steve o through his podcast on youtube, I’ve seen jackass here and there over the years too but it’s not really my thing. However seeing how much he pushes himself to keep finding success in different avenues is really inspiring, especially after seeing how much he’s been though and how much he’s put himself through as well in order to achieve those things. I think a lot of people can relate to how hard he is on himself so I hope he knows how much of a difference he’s making in peoples lives and how much support he has from fans
Steve-O is describing ADHD: not being able to do anything he doesn’t have passion for. I relate so much.
I’m about 8 seconds in right now, and I can already tell this is gonna be one of the podcasts of all time.
Podcast is a the, no doubt about it.
I love how real all guests are with opening up. Since "3 Mics" I have been very interested with anything Neal Brennan
Neil needs this podcast as much as we all do and that's why I always want another episode
Neal attentively receiving actual life advice from Steve-o is quality tube.
Imagine being at the Lot before a Grateful Dead show, seeing a dude doing backflips and selling acid, and then a decade later seeing him on MTV
To be fair the Grateful Dead sold acid (and dosed people including each other) and they ended up on MTV lol. No backflips though
Stevo has more blocks than nyc
48:58 mind blowing.. my Dad worked for RJR + Nabisco too. Having major breakthroughs. My Gratitude is immense for both of you. ❤
My favorite two podcasters!
Steve-O is a national (or international?) treasure.
Neal really had some bars in this episode 🔥
This was epic. Geeezuz ! Talk about self awareness. I love this podcast more and more
I might Steve-O while I was walking out of my senior year Homecoming Dance. He was so kind!!
this was really good, havent seen the pod in a while but will be watching regularly in the future
4 minutes in and we're discussing him graduating from the prestigious ringling brothers & barnum and bailey clown college. This is gonna be great.
Thank you for your candor, Steve-O!
For the alg. Thanks for the intro to the pod, wouldnt have known what it was about otherwise :)
Psychiatrist Neal is awesome.
Best episode so far
This was great. I don't usually listen to Steve-o's podcast but he was great to listen to here
Digging steveos new look.
Wears it with stride.
He's come such a long way, it always makes me happy to see him sober and happy.
That sense of direction text 😆
nice wide shot to show the red shoes!!! love the editing on this podcast! awesome program :)
this is the crossover I needed
This was great!
Another great episode. The theme song is so dope...
Great interview!
loved it!
Such a bright man. Keep going, Steve-O... Keep going...
Best episode yet.
I needed this
Best guest so far imo😊
Absolutely! His candor and his humor were great.
This will be fun!
Best one yet
Great interview. Your outro music made me think I had a fly buzzing in my ear though. ;)
No wasted words, great!
"Put work, not into finding the right person, but being the right person. I would have been useless to the right person"---❤
Thank you
Damn great episode!
Perfect opportunity for the William or Bob Shakespeare question…. Which I think about A LOT
The thing I always loved about Jackass was the destruction of death. If you're constantly doing things that anyone would assume would kill you, and live...what you're creating is art. To do that in your 40's or 50's adds a new lens through which to view the compulsion (or disease?) required to commit to that art.
lol 16:08 holy shit steve-o that’s the craziest shit I’ve ever heard
This episode is AMAZING
I want to hear an entire hour on Steve-O in literal clown college , as an aside
I love Steve o and love who he is, love Neal too.
Holy shit, Neal's line about adults with motorcycles was spot the fuck on.
I love how you can decide to listen to Steve-O's voice an octave higher or an octave lower on command
Please consider having Rick Glassman on Blocks.
Witching neal trying to figure out how the brain of steve-o works is fuccen hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
Love Steve-O, he's always down to Earth and vulnerable even back then. Jackass was insane! Very nostalgic show during my college years. But I've always worried he was the one that would pass away because of his addictions, we knew the man lived/played hard. Thank goodness he turned it around. RIP Bam. I can't believe he actually went clown school.
Bam is alive, tho.
Dunn died in a car crash. Bam is still lurking around.
Oh my mistake.
fire spitting backflip.. badass
I have a bad sense of direction... Neal says GREAT this pod is funny and serious❤
This is such a great podcast….refreshing. Great alternative to the joe Rogans of the world
At 1:17 mins in Steven Glover says "grow my Audience on different platform" Neil "Bigger audience than RUclips...WTF Are you talking about "😂 Great Ep 👌🏽
Neal, how much for the “un-beeped” version?
“Perfectly capitalistic approach to self-destruction” that’s beautiful
Neil, you word things really well.
Steve-o is such an amazing human. I appreciate you opening up, interesting peeking into the mind of the greatest stuntman❤️
Ugh, the sexually acting out in early recovery is so accurate and also a dangerous place to be because I would use that to fill my void, but would feel awful about it, eventually stop acting out sexually, have nothing to fall back on in my recovery, and then I'm back to using again. So sexual sobriety being "graduate school for alcoholics" is a great point made by Steve-O. It doesn't equate to sexual abstinence like abstinence is applied to drugs and alcohol, but just finding a healthy relationship with it.
Great as usual Neal!💖
I think this is the most honest and genuine I’ve ever seen Steve O be on camera in conversation.✨
Really spot on insights.🥹
I am hoping that we can all feel acknowledged, seen, and maybe understood. Everyone wants to feel valued. We all need to love ourselves in order to bring a full person into any relationship…
Easier said than done.🤗
I am praying for Steve O’s health and him finding a happy contentment-joy in living.🫣
wow wow wow Steve-o just amazing
This is the stuff
God damn this guy is truly facinating
damn you really staring into my soul on those ad reads
Lol why would you watch any ads
@@CasualDandyAkaSqwrty Coz he a dumb
@@CasualDandyAkaSqwrty ill be honest noticed it while i was skipping them, my youtube is set to 5 seconds skips tho so i got to watch his eyes not change throughout the entire read
BLOCKS WAS GREAT BRO!!!
Steve-O's regular voice sounds like he's talking on a Motorola flip phone
YEAH DUDE!
Ayo Steve-O turned into Dr. Manhattan and started glowing when he read his burn book
Steve o is a great man.
Neil is a treasure
Neal why u give urself bunny ears with the plants?🤣🤣
P.S. much love🧡
I hadn't even clicked on the video yet, but youtube says I already watched it... why you be lying youtubes!? Steve-O, my buddy said he tried to get a pic with you like a year ago but you were too busy taping a lobster to the hood of your tour bus.
Thanks Neal! Can u get Ari Shaffir on??
All the blocks 😂
Literally 😂 SteveO always doing the MOST
