Love the quality of this review. I'm looking into buying them as my first ever and I'm sold.

Edit: If you see this before I get mine, do you think they're a good fit for the following... I'm not looking into displaying them or having wall art, but I want them to frame the back of my desk (Fredde). lmk your thoughts and if I should opt in for a cheaper/better option like maybe the RGBIC LED Strip Lights? Hi Yes they are Perfect for your intention i will say they are amongst the best you can get
But you do have other cheaper options if you just want back light and not too bothered of custom effects and themes
you could use basic Led strips but still get decent ones or you will have basic rgb and hot spots.
if you want quality and smooth glows you can customise and app controll Id have to say Govee rope or they have the M1 led strip which is the best kit i have seen upto now again pricey for what it is but they are the premium option in my opinion dont forget to use codes to save money UK EU USA CODE ! APRIL10
Is there much difference between the lights from this and the M1, coulour range, brightness etc? It looks like from your video you don't see any spots with the rope, I want to light round the edge of a few walls and worry the M1 will show spots behind a diffuse channel. Any suggestions on which you would recommend for a more seamless look?
The M1 sounds more suited for what you want to do ! Your right though, as they are so bright there are some hot spots visable in cirtain modes and cases but not always plus the camera makes it look worse tbh
your best options in my opinion would be either a very good diffuser for the M1 you can customise further by adding to the diffused effect
or like you said the rope lights because they are already diffused Very well
the color range is roughly the same but less visable hotspots with the neon rope so unless you like DIY and don't mind extra effort for a particular look i would go with the neon Rope Don't forget to use Code MAR8 in the USA Or MAR10 for the UK EU for extra discounts

these ropes would go insane mode if you could add more lenght to them, i have been "struggling" with phillips hue for years there customer service is shit and there products are over priced and lacking in functionality for what you pay, i had 5 meters of phillips hue i am down to around 3 meters, when you make a cut with phillips hue "they say its possible" but all that happens is the cut gets shorted and the whole line is dead i recently purchased 5 meters of this so hopefully i get better results if i do ill buy another 5m
will this provide sufficient light brightness if used at 1.50m above my workbench? in addition to the existing lighting of the room.
Yes they are better suited but if the purpose is ambiant lighting with the room already lit they would be perfect on there own im not so sure they would light up a work area well enough although they are bright and have a white setting so maybe acceptable i would still use a fill light with cameras etc though if thats the sort of things you have going on but yes these would e ideal my frind Have a great Day : )
Can I get this light strip under the desk? Looks amazing and I am a little bit worried it's too good strip light to hide it
It can be placed anywhere really... although i think your right, It is designed to be on Display and it is a bit good to Hide away in my opinion but depending on your desk type you could still keep it on display or Govee have recently made a desk light which is similar but has sticky back instead of mounts but in theory yes you could still use the rope light on your desk
They actually have one specifically made to go around the edge of a desk
Hello, nice review. I'm wondering if you would recommend this rope mounted on a ceiling corner, hidden behind a plasterboard cover? Want to create nice multicolor light on 3 meters TV wall.
yes the 3 meter version would be ideal for that kind of placment if its going upside down you may need to help grip the rope cos its got a little weight to it not much but would likely fall from a cieling if not mounted well
Hi, is it bendable enough (capable of 90 degree bend)? Planning to put this on the corner of the room. Thanks
it is but i would recommend giving a good curv dont fold it tight if you know what i mean it is designed to curve but also it isn't so good at forward or backward curve so if the strip light is pointing directly at you it can bend up and down but not back and forward i hope that makes sense

Got the same question. But looks like RGBIC strips can't be cutted. Govee got also 5050 led strips you can cut but then it's not multicolor strip anymore.
Would I be able to place the lights going from one wall to another? Or do they not bend that way
they are best to bent left and right not so good forward or back but it can be done with a little persuasion
i usually heat the strips up slightly to manipulate them into places or angles they dont want to go just be careful take your time and its fine i hope that helps answer your question

What if I actually mount it under my table. Because I'm in Australia This is the only product I could find. For some reason Govee doesn't ships to Australia and this is the only product I could find in my local shops
it can be mounted where ever you like really my friend, under the table you may have to get creative with the sticky tabs or alternative way like velcro tabs or something they can get quite heavy if your talking 5 meter etc
but yes it can be done i hope that helps and No Delivery To AU ''WHAT'' !!! we will have to try and change that lol

The rope light i would say not quite but depending on the room size and on placement and the length you go with it can light the room plenty enough to read and not far off normal light
mines a small square room at around 5 meters by 6 or something in this smaller room it does ok the 3 meter strip under something wouldnt give as much light as the 5 meter would high up if you know what i mean

I purchased a 10ft neon rope and upon unpacking I noticed if you "shake" the rope inside, there is some movement. I just want to check if this is how is meant to be or I have to return in. Please respond! Thanks and good review! 👍
Hi yes there is a loose feeling inside the rope light this is normal inside there is the rgb rope and the outer shell is the diffuser and water resistant casing as long all the segments of the light are lit and uniform it is normal to have a the rope rattle inside a little in the hand once its up its fine mate i hope that help bring some relief 😀

Hi ! they do mate i should of explained a little better but i will make another video on this set soon you just have to select gradient in the custom options
Guess your not using led diffusers is it important to use them
hi mate it is important with led strips if you want a clean look but you dont need to use difusers with neon rope they are already difused mate and quite thick no need to difuse them
They broke after 3 months. Govee not too helpful.
if you try to email govee support they will usually reply quite quick except weekends and they should ask you for a video of the fault
tbh i have only used govee support once and it was ok took a few days but reasonable i hope you get a resolution my friend
