In 1975, I attended a luncheon in Houston, TX. The host had Chet there to play for the guests. I sat 5 feet in front of him. A magical time I will always remember.
lOVE CHET ATKINS...BEST CONCERT WE EVER ATTENED WAS CHET AT A STARY NIGHTS IN JACKSONVILLE...HAD SEATS ABOUT 20' FROM HIM...AWESOME...My father in law played with him in the early years...both great musicians...thanks for sharing
What is this guitar? It's not the Gibson Chet Atkins that he normally played. It reminds me of an AP. I think that stood for Aria Professional. I can imagine that Jerry Reed - who was very fond of Aria guitars - said: 'Hey Chet, have you tried this one already?' I love the abalone body binding of Chet's guitar. And I love the finger-picking style.
i searched the fingerstyle of this song and unsatisfied listening to those famous fingerstylist artist as they did not hit the right arrangement as the original. Listening to their arrangement is like listening to other song.
I wish today's so called "artist" would watch this great man and learn a thing or two.....or maybe six. Because most of what we hear today is total cheap crap.
How beautiful is this? The man was phenomenal.

What an inspiration to all guitarists.
R.I.P. Chet
We miss you Chet but your music still speaks for you. Thank you
I was fortunate to see Mr. Atkins twice. Very incredible guitarrist.
As opposed to a slightly incredible guitarist?

Simply superb! R.I.P. Chet Atkins
Splendid.
Chet's playing never ceases to amaze me.
Mesmerizing
In tears brilliant.....❤️
What a player! I remember back in the early 80's listening to...and teaching myself(a much more simplified!) version of this. Beautifully played.
Mr. Guitar indeed, RIP.
A Men.
Published on my birthday last year. Feels like a birthday present. Just lovely.
thank you for posting this magic .
This is just perfect
The true master and greatest guitar player ever
"Ever" isn't finished yet, so you might be premature in your assessment. 🤣
The greatest guitarist sure enough.
He was special for sure.
Check out Tim Van Roy's version for a different but also beautiful feel to a classic song
Fabulous!!! 😎
Thanks Chet.
Nice music, I like it indeed....
Chet Atkins and friends on the "Read My Licks" special in the 1990s with Steve Wariner, Suzy Bogguss, Earl Klugh and others.

Chet Atkins inimitabile
"inimitabile" isn't a real word. Do you mean "inimitable"?
There will never be another
I would kill for that guitar my goodness...
I wouldn't but I feel you man, it's a piece of pure dream
02:14 a genius
Wow ! ! !
Offhand I’d say no, since it is a common popular melody.
It is really nice.
I try never to watch or listen to Chet Atkins... lest I be tempted to immediately burn my own guitar. 😁

Absolutely.
Kirk Sands guitar.
The song by Don Mclean is called Vincent.
Thanks, I'll fix it now
Does anyone know where the concert happened?
Where do I find this guitar
