I had a Mk3 Capri 1.6 Laser, too! It was my first Capri before I moved up to a few 2.8 Injection Specials. And I've a soft spot for the Mk3 Cortina, too, as my dad had a couple, and my first memory is being in the back of his green Mk3 1.6L on a family holiday to Norfolk. I still love my Ford now :)
Great memories! I’ve only ever had that one Capri. Sadly, someone pulled out in front of me and wrote it off. Still drove home, though. Different times 😂
I'm 54 only Ford I've ever owned was my first car an E reg Escort 1.6DGL think it had 50 bhp. Anyway my Dad had several Capris & My older brother had 3 . My brother & a blonde bird of mine at the time had 1.6 lasers . The laser wasn't the poverty spec they made a 1.3L certainly on Mk 1 & 2 .
2 miles from new? I find that very difficult to believe, the delivery mileage etc would be much more than that. I've only ever bought two brand new cars, one Cavalier SRi and a Renualt 11 GTX and they both had over 300 miles on the clock in the showroom. (Great video as usual, get a shave ya scruffy git....hahaha).

I have a Mk3 Cortina Estate myself. Currently working on it as a rolling resto. I love the thing.
