    Fae, when I think TQ you're the first person that comes to mind. Let's hope they invite you to play TQ2. It's looking good. It reminds me of Divinity II, and that's a good thing 😊

    Fae, the true king of TQ! I sincerely hope you can scale that HUD (not in game but the skill cards, seems a bit like a mobile game) in TQ2 because it's ugly. They should've invited you to do the commentary. I think the gameplay, though a little rough around the edges, looks pretty good IMO.

    To be honest, I think the game needs more time. One year at least. I wouldn't mind to wait all the way to 2026. In the meantime, they should release some early access for people to test and give their feedback. Also also, they should stay in close contact to people who really know everything about Titan Quest, like Mr. Fae and Kerplunk, and avoid these gen Z streamer bozos.
    It has a lot of potential and I expect nothing less than perfection.

    In TQ 1 they had Greeks speaking English for the act 1 NPC's in Greece.
    Egyptian speaking English for act 2 NPC's in Egypt, and so on.
    That was a nice touch to the esthetics of the game.
    This will not be the case for TQ 2 as it seems.
    Not a problem just pointing out differences.

      I know the game is still WIP, I'm sure many things will be fixed at launch and end game. Just pointing out what I noticed and ideas.
      1. Environment movement need's work.
      Trees moving from the wind.
      Grass moving when walking in to it.
      Water ripples and splashes when walking in.
      Footprints left behind in the sand and dirt road.
      2. Iconography for Health and Mana Bars for character and Background for Inventory.
      You could have the Rod of Asclepius ⚕️ for health and the Caduceus of Hermes for mana.
      Or spiral of life for health 🌀 and the blue eye for mana🧿.
      Or a amphora 🏺 for health and a torch 🔥 for mana.
      Or the sun ☀️ for health and the moon 🌙 for mana.
      (Instead of round balls like we see in other games.)
      And for The Background in skill menu etc. we can have a Greek art style like ancient amphoras. Red figure and black figure painting style. Ceramic style and colours. Not so empty and dark/black. But Little more filling and culture art. Bright and colourful.
      3. Item colouring.
      It would be nice to have melee items presented in red, magical in blue (as we see), green for range items.
      White for common, yellow for rare, Gray for Infrequent, crystal blue-green for unique items, purple for quest items.
      4. Top right corner in inventory would be a perfect spot to Add on Magical Girdles and Power Belts. (Like we have caps and shoulder pads).
      Add One-Handed Magic Weapon Items : Wands/Sceptres/Short Staffs (Like the Caduceus, Hermes staff, more variety of weapons for Mages, to be given the ability to carry a small Shield).
      Add Off-Hand Magical Items : Two-Handed Magical Lyre/Rune Stone/Artifacts. (Holding the item in one hand, shooting projectiles from the other).
      Add Artifact slot. (I'm positive it will be in-game).
      5. Hope to see a Devotion Star System on the Milky Way, Galaxy (Galaxias) with Constellations.
      6. Ingame Money Currency : Drachma (instead of gold) and Orichalcum (For special occasions, for example crafting).
      7. Recruit mercenaries/companions from different Factions to aid us in a Quest. (humans, satyrs, centaurs etc.)

    I think they should allow common people to have access to demo with a mandatory feedback form at the end so they can improve a lot before releasing, instead of releasing the game then having an update for such.

    11:29 I doubt they're removing pierce ratio, because the axe at 21:40 has both types of damage displayed. Also at 20:52, the armor has a split on pierce and physical damage mitigation which is new. It seems to me that they are actually expanding the concept! Some items seem to have a static split on damage and I suspect that there will be modifiers or skills from the masteries (like Blade Honing) that will convert the damage, maybe there will even be support to adjust that ratio on armor as well.

    I hope items will have a many stats/afixes just like in tq1, possible to make many builds like in tq1 and please rich development of your character (strong rpg in terms of upgrades/leveling/etc....In my opinion tq2 looks very poor (skill trees, item stats)... Graphic is amazing...

    I hope it's not gonna be hyper balanced. I hope they make abilities and passives because they're cool or good without having it all perfectly math'd out and weighed against some performance metrics for their endgame loop. It's okay if some builds have an easier time than others, or if they rely on pets a lot, or only left click attack, or have a piano rotation, or whatever. They don't have to follow a formula.

    Finally, some gameplay! Thanks, Fae, for covering it! Keep in mind that the game will go into early access in the winter of this year. So, these damage numbers might not be the definitive ones. About the animations, it might be because they are streaming it and it might be from the recording software that the animations are a bit choppy

    They really need to fix the inventory UI. It's like an exact copy of D4 and it's just horrible. Also, the items don't look good as you said. Just like in D4 the art for the items is not good. Compare to D1, D2, Grim Dawn or TQ1 who all have amazing art for their items in the inventory screen. This is the biggest issue with the game right now in my opinion. The inventory looks so generic and mobile.

      I still love Grim Dawn and Titan Quest's armour sets/pieces, they're stunning. I think the muted colour palette doesn't help, the textures on the armour/items look "dirty" (so as to obscure detail) this seems to be a modern Dev tactic to "save time" I'd rather they spent time making the items look better tbh.

    The only tink that i would want to see and change is the rarity color white , yellow, green ( and the special green) , blue , those rigth now are like the others ARPG

    Spear and Shield - every single ARPG did it wrong or didn't it at all and my question is - do TQ 2 will be the first arpg where we have such an important aspect done well ? I hope so because spear and shiled is very archetype to ancient world.

    I don’t need this game 5 years ago, because I just want a good new sequel and if that happened 5 years ago, 2 years ago or next year. I don’t mind. 5 years ago there were also other great games to play

    ...i need this game in my life 5y ago...the game graphics look amazing, the game mechanics look great but the skills menu could be more polished, a bit more contrast/colour... so far very positive and I hope they release the game by December this year, good content...👍
    PS: the inventory looks small and the items big which means going to town many times...give us space TQ2...

      Great question.
      Here are my ideas and help.
      I know the game is still WIP, I'm sure many things will be fixed at launch and end game. Just pointing out what I noticed and ideas.
      1. Environment movement need's work.
      Trees moving from the wind.
      Grass moving when walking in to it.
      Water ripples and splashes when walking in.
      Footprints left behind in the sand and dirt road.
      2. Iconography for Health and Mana Bars for character and Background for Inventory.
      You could have the Rod of Asclepius ⚕️ for health and the Caduceus of Hermes for mana.
      Or spiral of life for health 🌀 and the blue eye for mana🧿.
      Or a amphora 🏺 for health and a torch 🔥 for mana.
      Or the sun ☀️ for health and moon 🌙 for mana.
      (Instead of round balls like we see in other games.)

      1. Totally agree. The world is beautiful. It would be even better if it had more life, like you've suggested.
      2. I personally don't have any problems with having 2 balls in the game ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). But I agree that round, plain balls ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) are boring. I like your idea of amphoras or urns.
      3. I disagree. I think item colouring should be related only to the item's rarity. Maybe they could add a little tag or icon, like a sword for melee, an arrow for ranged, etc.
      4. Also totally agree. Titan Quest needs artifacts to be Titan Quest.
      5. One of my favourite aspects about Grim Dawn. It really adds a lot of depth to the game and it fits perfectly with the ancient Greek mythology theme.
      6. I like gold. But wouldn't mind it to have another name fitting Greek History.
      7. ABSOLUTE YES! One of my favourite things about TQ was to have Ylva as a "mercenary" (actually as a pet). I'd love to have a mercenary system such as in Diablo 2.

      @@EudaimonV my main request is this: make shields great again. For me, there's nothing more satisfying than bashing a heavy metal shield in the face of you enemy. The sound effect of "Batter", in the Defense mastery, gives me multiple orgasms every time I hear it. Hell, I'd go even more radical: give us the ability to DUAL WIELD SHIELDS. I don't need a boring sword, nor a dumb spear. Just give me more shields!

    game does need more colours, looks more like a diablo 4/path of exile game trying to be Titan Quest.. sadly! but game is not done yet so there is maby some hope for the game

    Unfortunately It looks too much like Diablo 4 to me, other than the Art and the visuals which undoubtedly look good in UE5, everything else does not hold true to the legacy of the original. Gonna get it on sale definitely, and hopefully the developers stay true to their word and vision and do not introduce any seasonal content or MTX/DLC's like a mastery or something....

    edit: It definitely needs more time and it needs to look less generic. It needs to look like TQ++, not like Diablo: Greece. I really, really hope they are able to tell the difference. I won't be able to pass any real judgment though until I try out a demo or something. And even then, the experience I would get could be random(starting D4 with a Barb and a Sorc is a 1000% different experience, for example ; kinda like demoing TQ1 with a Conqueror or a ... something requiring very precise items ... Reflect Templar?). Looks very promising.

    I kind of wish they let someone stream it at Gamescom that has actually played Titan Quest before... we could have gotten so much more information
    Also I really dislike how similar the UI and weapons/armor stats look to something like Diablo 4 or a mobile game...

    I wonder if you can bypass ladders with skills like Leap? That would be cool, if I could jump down on some mobs and do a ton of damage

    im not sure if you noticed, you can get trapped if enemies surrounded you here. in titan quest 1, you can escape even fully surrounded.

    I hope TQ2 will be moddable and the devs provide the tools like in TQ1. And of course I hope the game will be good as well :D

    And I hope that the minimap will be more customizable than in TQ1.

    i dont like that skill icons health mana look like diablo also items and letters when inspecting the item looks like diablo and blue color is now basic drops
    we can see our swap weapon on our back that would be a cool detail at least permanent dead bodies is on thank god
    46:35 why skeletons vanish? and no bones on the ground? mb cuz he has ice damage?
    also we did not see how our hero dies

    Im kinda worried tbh.
