I've followed a number of canal boating channels over the years, and all of them I have unsubbed from or lost interest in, so much that I had decided I was done with canal videos. Then a few years later along came Betty and this is by far the best channel of the lot, and I include many much bigger more popular channels in that list. None of the others present in quite the way Betty does, and many of them would not be able to either.
What I really enjoy about you videos is the lack of contrived and totally unecessary dramas that seem to occur frequently on other channels of all kinds. Nice and peaceful relaxed cruising with very a informative commentary. 😊
I also agree. Please do not become the "Below Deck" of the canal vlogs. 😉 I really enjoyed the light falling rain and passing countryside with the music you selected.

Hi Betty / Everyone. Thanks for posting another video. Since I was very young, I’ve been amazed by maps. Since the introduction of Google Earth and Google maps I spend hours (far too many to be honest) just studying the land, rivers, roads and railways on these two sites. I’ve done it with Robbie Cummings and other and now yourself I enjoy following your travels by flicking to and from your RUclips and google maps following you from lock to lock, under every bridge and over every aqueduct. I love it. I think all of us avid viewers should club together to buy you one of these clip-on Bluetooth microphones I see other You Tube posters using. It would save you shutting the engine down every time you want to speak. Just think of the wear and tear on your control cable!! Loving every minute of you posts and I hope Dad is still in good fettle. I'm hoping to volunteer on the Shropshire Union next year instead of the Weaver Navigation so come on over and see us 😀

I'm very happy your father is doing well, I myself recently got out of the hospital after a massive infection and a stroke that it caused along with kidney failure but I beat the infection and kidneys are improving. The hardest part for me was my son taking time off from school to help me which he insisted upon doing. I really appreciate him and I am very sure yours appreciates you.

That last part of that channel does appear very narrow, and definitely explains the population of narrowboats. Lovely area. Keeping the ultral slow speed on the boat, gives the views a chance to view the scenery as well. Also, many of those bridges you go under, appear to be many decades old, which gives your videos a good perscpecctive of the surroundings. Great backing up the boat. Enjoy the peace.

I'm so glad I found you. I'm rebuilding my sailboat here in Texas trying to get back to my home state Virginia. I used to Rv across USA from 2020 until last year.
