We moved to Mexico after leaving the U.S., with 6 month stops in Costa Rica and Panama.
Mexico is my absolute favorite in every way. I intend to stay in this country for the rest of my life.
The production of this video was next level! Whilst I love the videos of Pablo talking to us sitting in a park, this shows just how far the channel has come. I've just hit my year of watching videos and I love being part of the Dreaming Spanish family!

Spain used to be great for travel but how can they brag about their tourism now when their citizens are attacking tourists.
Colombia really loses on all categories. The food in particular is the worst in latin america and tourists are targeted in violent crimes.

This video started off intermediate, but got advanced real quick. As the professors became more excited about their country, they began to speak with native fluency. I need to rewatch this video a few more times..

This was so much fun..all of my guesses were #1. I have been to all the countries except Argentina. Mexico of course has the best food..hands down ..and everyone knows the capital of Salsa is in Colombia…Spain is so vast..I love exploring the major cities…and the nicest people in the world are in Colombia…that should have been a category…but overall this was soo much fun to watch
Travel: Argentina, hands down! Nowhere else will you see places like Iguazu Falls and the Perito Moreno glacier.

By far my favourite Dreaming Spanish video to date. It had it all; a mixture of accents, top notch editing, banter between the teachers and Andrea looking like she's running for Mexican president. 10/10 🎉
P.S. Andrés could've won the football debate easily by pointing out Lionel Messi reached his level by playing in Spain for his whole career 😂
My vote goes to… Spain. It’s one of the most impressive country that I’ve traveled ever (I’ve visited Mexico and Argentine but I’ve never been in Colombia). Because I don’t like soccer I don’t give my opinion. However concerning travel destination Spain is by far the most relevant country among all of them. The architecture, the culture, the masterpieces, the fine arts that you can find out in Spain it can only be compared to Italy and France in the whole world.
There should have been a question about "most beautiful" or "most enthusiastic boosters among the DS guides." Colombia would have won that round, definitely.

My level so far is 100% comprehension with Superbeginner, 85% comprehension with Beginner, and between 60%-75% comprehension with Intermediate. Intermediate varies widely depending on the accent (As an American, Mexican and Columbian are easier to understand), how often vocabulary is repeated, speed, and interest in the subject matter. Videos like this one are frustrating because even though I can understand most of what they are saying, it's still not enough to understand the full meaning of what they're talking about. This video was more difficult than other videos labeled intermediate.
This is coming from someone that is fairly new to comprehensible input (my primary mode of learning was grammar lessons, reading, duolingo, and watching too high a level content with spanish subtitles) but still enjoying my progress using this method although it's hard to tell how much of what I know is organic to this method alone.

I wasn't sure that we were getting an unbiased moderator with Andrea, but she did a good job managing the competitive spirits of all the participants. I liked Shelcin's bluff during the Soccer segment. She was dealt a weak hand but never gave up. 🤣😂🤣 Great and fun video.

Soy Colombiana, y amo México y España (los he visitado varias veces), México es absolutamente increíble por la comida y los paisajes. España por lo mismo. Viví en Argentina 8 meses y su orgullo por la comida "argentina" es completamente absurdo. Lo único bueno que tienen es carne (y eso que la carne de Brasil es mucho mejor), el resto es mucho pan y pizza; no hay variedad. Eso sí, Argentina gana en fútbol.
El español más bonito es lo de Shel, acento suave y claro.

Habría ganado con mucha diferencia tan sólo mencionando:
- Gastronomía: Quesos manchegos, vino de Rioja, tortilla de patata, embutidos (chorizos, morcillas, sobrasada), salazones (jamón, lomo, cecina, mojama), platos regionales (migas, gazpacho manchego, fabada, cocido madrileño, paella, churrasco aragonés).
- Fútbol: Real Madrid, por dios, el equipo más conocido del mundo junto al FC Barcelona.
- Turismo: Madrid, Valencia, Toledo, Sevilla, Santiago de Compostela, Benidorm, Canarias, Baleares, Granada, Costa Blanca.
- Música: ¿Rosalía? ¿En serio? Tenemos a David Bisbal, Mónica Naranjo, Enrique Iglesias, Alejandro Sanz, Manolo García... y cantantes de ópera de la talla de Plácido Domingo, José Carreras o Ainhoa Arteta.
