I would agree 100% with Jake’s take on the Midas open trap bar. We tested it up to 700 pounds and it had no problems no issues. The jackstand is very sturdy and I do like the compact design, especially for women and kids or somebody that wants to something that’s compact or in a small space you don’t have to worry about the bar being low quality like the Amazon or Walmart cheapo out here. This one is much better but much better made and it’s worth a price, but the giant is a lot larger so if you don’t need that extra size, then the Fringe is where you wanna go

Agree. Can use magnetic micro weights for more granular adjustments and cable extenders if want longer cables.

Interesting idea to have a lat pull down on one side and a functional column on the other. Kind of like a more compact Monster cave.

I agree with the idea of having one side for Lat Pulldown and one side as a cable column, I'm debating between adding the Ares to my rack or getting the Adonis, and I think I'll be going for the Adonis since I don't need a functional training. I like to leave the barbell in the rack with j cups, difficult to do with the Ares. Good topics 👍

I heard that Prime might have some patent on that setup for the US, because of their prodigy rack from years ago.

Agree - think it would be a very compact/versatile setup

      The suggested mix could work.
I have a dual Athena and connect both sides with either an Xbar knockoff I have or my Gympin Holey bar for lat pulldown/low rows. If I need more load, I’ve attached bands or plates via Gympin to the Athenas.
      Works for me.

Gotta say I disagree on the 2:1 or 1:1 take.
There are a ton of 2:1 trainer racks out there. It basically precludes lat pulls and low rows unless you're paying 2k more for super heavy Ares stacks.
I like that Dane went with the niche of a 1:1 stack, with which a gym pin can allow for heavy weight lat pulls:low rows.
I do like the split tower idea though.

We have a very narrow workout space, 60 vs 83 makes a difference.

Single stack Adonis half rack setup would be ideal. I don't love cable flys enough to have dual stacks.

Thoughts on ATX new rack? Seems like a better concept than the Dane. Hopefully ATX comes to the USA as teased.

Kleva’s quality is amazing but I think I’m going to have to wait for Titans spinning bar holder. It looks like a better option for specialty bars since Kleva’s look like the barbell holders are too close together.

Totally agree - this does seem like it would work best with straight bars

Can Adam please look into Tryon Innovative Fitness? The company is in Spain (I believe) and they make 11 types of Lat Bars! These looks way solid and sturdy than Prime Fitness or the Signature Fitness Multigrip handles!! Please do a review on the Tryon lat bars!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I think these functional trainer squat racks are gimmicky. I would rather have 1:1 ratio because if you are paying for 200lbs of weight stacks you can actually use all 200lbs. 2:1 you are paying for weight you can’t actually use.
