Some people complained about Sony and the complicated names they use with letters and numbers. (It's actually quite simple and makes sense if one understands what the letters and numbers mean). Now they've changed the names but it's made it even more confusing. 😂
I wasn't going to buy these because all my Sony earbuds case stop charging the earbuds after a year, the buds are constantly charging running down the case battery and when I take them out they are always hot and are only 30%-40% charged, and the case also goes into red blinking mode whenever I'm recharging the case and buds, I had to get both my XM5 and link buds S replaced because of that, but now that I see how well the new ones fit in your small ears I will give Sony another chance and try these.
It's not just Sony, Sennheiser, JBL, and others just for example. Also it seems the rechargeable batteries in the ear buds degrade faster than other formats...
@josephdaniels3969 - some cannot replace the battery. Just buy cheap chinese brands and no wonder they are popular now. Just look at the CMF buds. Even the new model Tozo NC9 and I think they're from the States...
"Under the right lighting", it looks like it picked up a bunch of lint from your pocket. I'm glad you told us about it so I know what it actually are. These aren't the earbuds I'm looking for but, I hope others start doing these types of "air supporters". I'm the same way and my ears are also small, even being in my 40s where ears are the one body part that keeps growing. Wingtips start hurting, so I never use them. It doesn't matter the size, they all started to hurt.
@@andresoares6005 the pixel buds pro 2 have better ANC and are a little louder with better battery life and wireless charging. I like my Sony linkbuds fit but I don't love them. They are very comfortable, stylish and I do like the gestures and Sony app.
Get the Pixelbuds Pro 2. Controls are way better, however the Sony sounds better, obviously it has LDAC. Gestures controls are just a mess on the Sony. With one bud, you lose volume up or down, depending how you set them up, and also you either get ANC toggle OR playback control by wearing one bud only, which I often do. The PixelBuds Pro 2 are also easier to take out of the case and just put them into your ear. However, the Sony Linkfit Buds are almost close to perfect. Or just get a pair of Huawei Freebuds Pro 3 if you can. I find NO contenders to beat them.
Another informative and comprehensive review on these new Sony buds Bro!! Like how you explain the new Lifestyle features of these buds! 🙌 Don't think I'll be using any of these, especially the voice commands feature, and in public - just imagine yelling at your buds to, "Volume Up or Down" in the shopping centre. 😂 The tapping on the bone in front of your ears is a nice feature. At this high price range, I share the same feeling as you that the case should definitely have wireless charging, especially other (cheaper) Chinese brands have it. And Sony is concentrated on this new 'Lifestyle' thing - be helpful to charge the case on the go with reverse wireless charging from your phone... I think you should have compared this case against the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro or Buds FE cases because they're of the same clam shell shape and Air Pods are stem style, so its case is different... The mic performance is solid too. Looking forward to your next one Brother.
I am kinda biased having my Huawei Freebuds 3 Pro as they get no contenders. The LinkBuds Fit sound GREAT and feel comfortable to wear. But to be honest, gesture controls and driving me crazy. I just cannot raise and lower the volume by continuous tapping. Also, when wearing one bud only, you lose volume controls AND ANC toggles depending on which buds they are assigned to. Kind of a bummer.
I was hoping these would be a straight upgrade to the Linkbuds S but it sounds like the ANC is not as good. Hopefully they will update the Linkbuds S still at some point.
😮 I had the Sony WF-C700N & the bass reduces if I turned it up any higher then 65-75% volume the bass cuts down. I thought the bass was pretty good on these cheaper headphones from Sony & hoping these might have slightly more bass but overall cleaner sound for most part
For me, the fit on the Linkbuds S is solid, but over the course of an hour or two.. I find myself doing less "re-adjusting" with the Linkbuds Fit due to the wingtip. As far as sound, I wouldn't really say there's a big advantage either way.
hi good review ----battery life is concern looking at other buds with 8 hours anc on ... also can you use just one bud individually ....thoughts bose ultra quiet or status anc any advice be apreciated thank you
@greenthumbsplanter You are right to be skeptical about battery life/issues. I've found battery life not to be an issue as you can just swap earbuds when 1 dies or turn off high-end features from time to time. Yes, you can use them one at a time. However, I've heard a lot of people complaining about battery issues with every brand of earbuds after a year or 2 of constant use. I've gotten lucky with a nearly 5 year old pair of Sony WF-500s. They still get 8 hours a day, even after near daily use. I wouldn't count on getting lucky on earbuds again, but I would wait out a SKU or two to see if any issues get resolved in future batches of this earbud if it turns out to have battery issues. Other than that, make sure you pick an earbud you have vetted and will enjoy. Be ready to pay more if they do have issues, as I said earlier, every brand has battery issues. Good luck!
thanks alot .... was looking at the wf 500 but the cost wat higher so i saw sonys app for buds and quite impressed ..... on other question do spinfit ear silicone tips work with this model.....thanks for the good advice
Can i use it without the wingtips? Been searching for a tws for side sleeping that also sounds good. I cannot side sleep on the the original Linkbuds S, even though it's tiny it protudes a bit.
If multipoint is not important for you, get the Samsung. Gesture controls are probably better on those, on the other hand you get LDAC with the Sony with any device (if supports it) not just with Samsung.
hello so no ones done a comparison on sony linkbuds against a very adevertised status anc in between........i know the app on the status plain jane and only big feature is the sound ,,,,,,have you reviewed the status buds ???
@@CEONTHEMAKING thank you so my choice between bose ultra quet or sony which would u choose bose old model sony brand new features ?price about the same
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 were so comfortable for me and stayed on so well but I was really disappointed with the sound. They sound muffled and boxy and no amount of EQ ever made them sound right. I tried the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and those sound great right out of the box but they just refuse to stay in my ears. I'm hoping these Linkbuds are the answer
I might like the wf-1000xm5 bc the came out w a Smoky Pink colorway that blends in w my skin tone more & They hv wireless charging & they'll probb b on sale for BlackFriday/Cyber Mon
I think you got the names mixed up. These are the Sony Linkbuds Fit & they came out along with the Sony Linkbuds Open which are the donut hole ones. Either way, the Fit buds have my interest as a oneplus buds pro 1 owner.

The case is unnecessarily thick, and yet does not have a sufficient power reserve and especially does not have wireless charging, all for the modest sum of $200 🤧, and we must think that this is a good deal, because it is a Sony product 🤦🏽♂️ $200 for that, even Apple 🍏, which is the king 👑 of scammers, avoids pushing the envelope to a certain point. 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️

I was pretty disappointed with the ANC and ambient mode

You could use them without the wingtip, but they don't stay in place very well. Especially with the way the eartip is designed.
are u going to do a comparison with the sony link open buds and the the soundcore aerofit open ear and the price difference
Probably not. The Aerofit 2 sound better for sure.

Are they loud enough how’s the volume
They're loud enough for me...I did find the WF100XM5 to be slightly louder, though.
I hope they don't have the same battery drain problem as the LinkBuds S, because Sony did suck big time with that...
These aren't open earbuds. Sony's new open linkbuds might be better imo. I wonder how they'd compare to the new Soundcore Aerofit 2's
The actual open are better than the last gen for sure, but the Aerofit 2 have a more powerful sound.
its double the thickness of the AirPods Pro. 🤔
These or xm5 ??
Get these. The XM5 are just bulky and the foam tips are also not my thing.

2 weeks in and they aren't waterproof and have already started having issues with both sides. Buyers beware.
Lost faith in Sony products after battery.drain issues in XM4 earbuds and a bluetooth speaker, no thanks.
Pretty underwhelming for the price point tbh
