Can’t wait for the AeroClip review. As a cyclists these “clip on” earbuds are super appealing since you have a to wear eye protection while riding. Keep up the good work 🫡
I'm happy to see the C40i now has a flexible arch (albeit a little stiff as you mentioned), as opposed to the C30i whose one of the main cons was that it was rigid plastic. Thanks for another great vid, Picky!
I sent the 30 back because they were in flexible and I couldn’t fit them on my ears. I’m gonna have to try these out. Will they be better than the Tojo earrings?
Hi Picky Gen 2 What happened to your real life outdoors mic test where you were standing next to a busy road? I think that gives a better indication of the mic performance. Please bring that back.
@pickyaudio - I like the real life outdoor test especially seeing how much wind and car noise it cancels out and how clear your own voice is during a phone call. Maybe have both in your videos...
Mindboggling useful info. Thank you. I slow your speed down usually in settings & bob’s your uncle😊 Gr8 work, wow. Although most pol consider open earbuds for sport, its V useful info for the elderly who are liable to drop things easily in wrong places! Brilliant!
This was so helpful! Thank you for your thorough review. I was on the verge of picking up the C30i but this video has made me reconsider. Still not ready to make a purchase, but I will definitely come back to this video and use your link when I'm ready! Your video has definitely given the most thorough review to help me make a decision. Will you do a comparison with the Huawei FreeClip Wireless Earbuds? I've been eyeing them as an open earbud option and have seen great reviews online, but they only really compare them to the Bose. I would love to see them compared to more open earbuds (including budget options!) because at nearly $200, I want to make sure it's a worthwhile investment. They do look super cool too!
Personally, the C30i is my preferred choice. If you position it correctly in your ear, it delivers excellent sound quality, but finding that 'sweet spot' can be painful due to the hard plastic body of the earbuds. I appreciate the C30i's sound because its large driver size performs better than some semi-in-ear models. I'm looking forward to trying the C40i, which I believe is designed to address the discomfort issues associated with the C30i. The microphone quality of the previous model didn't meet the Soundcore standard, but the new one seems to be a significant improvement according to your video. I'm convinced I'll get it since this style of open earbuds is my favorite. Hope Sound core can correct the pain point (It's the true pain point when you wear the earbuds)
Have owned Huawei FreeClip, Bose Ultra Open, C40i, and Tozo Open EarRing My favorite for sound is the Tozo. Huawei is easier to live with for work/calls are great. Just received the C40is today and I can keep you updated. Bose were garbage for calls and I use my stuff for work so thats most important. Bose was unusable FreeClip has no custom EQ so I used their Dynamic eq and tweaked my phone's eq to fix things to my preferences Tozo Open EarRings are the best imo and cheapest but they would hang up my calls (think it was the long press touch function so I turned that off but not sure if it's "fixed" or not C40i seems pretty good and had a real button like the Bose, custom eq and seem conformable to my ears
Absolutely love this style earbud. Realizing I really prefer to not have something jammed in my ear. I can wear this style longer I've got QCY Crossky C30. For $36 they are quite good. The Controls aren't great. The touch controls are hit an dmiss. It's just the rear positioning of the controls that makes it cumbersome and inaccurate. Don't think they're quite loud enough for my taste. These address those issues I think quite well. Hopefully they're louder. I will be ordering these as soon as I finish this comment. Amazon says I'll get them tomorrow.
@ Got the Soundcore today. took back another pair from QCY. I love the form favorite of this style of earbud. I'll be trying other offerings that come out in the next year. They'll keep improving
How come a few days ago, in your review of the Aerofit 2, the Shokz Open Fit had a 83.5 score and came before the Soundcore Aerofit and now they are suddendly only 83 and come after?
hey not super related to this video but can you do a review of the Jabra elite 10 gen 2 compared to gen 1? especially after the firmware update they received i want to know the difference and how impactful it rly is while still compared to top contenders like Nothing ear and 1+ buds pro 3
Cool comparison. I mainly use open earbuds in the gym, and right now I’m just using 30 dollar blackview air buds 10 and they’re going out. I’m trying to decide between these and the nothing ear open, I have glasses but I don’t wear them to the gym, but I wear earbuds outside sometimes. Nice video
Thanks for the video.. im biking a lot and I ask myself if the c40i it's good for that because at 30 or 40km/h u have a lot of wind (noise). Thanks for ur answer.
can you review 1MORE S31 not a lot of english channels have covered it. looks pretty popular in thailand. and according to many Thai channels, they got great bass for its price. (45-50USD) i would like to see how it sits in your rankings
Great review, thanks! Didn’t care for these because they were too hard to fit on my ears. Instead I preferred the Huewei Freebuds 5 which sounded great andwere louder than the Bose.
Give them a chance. Yes you may have a little discomfort but you get used to them. I have the QCY Crossky C30. I'm on my 5th day in a row of wearing them continuously for at least 5 hrs each day. There was a little discomfort. The first day. A little tender. But by hour 3 on the second day the tenderness is gone. Ive been wearing earbuds since 2019 and this style is going to be my favorite. There will be more manufacturers making this style and will only get better. This is year one of this style earbud. With Huawei really making the first pair. I will be getting the Soundcore for sure.
Can’t wait for the AeroClip review. As a cyclists these “clip on” earbuds are super appealing since you have a to wear eye protection while riding. Keep up the good work 🫡

No worries!

Hi Picky Gen 2
What happened to your real life outdoors mic test where you were standing next to a busy road?
I think that gives a better indication of the mic performance.
Please bring that back.
With indoor testing I can control the dB and wind so it's fair between all the buds with scoring. Outdoor testing is still useful though
@pickyaudio - I like the real life outdoor test especially seeing how much wind and car noise it cancels out and how clear your own voice is during a phone call.

Is that a C40i case in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
Perfect 👌
🤣
Eggcellent Review and production value. Waited to get these from your review, and find all your reviews informative. Meat Pie's all around!! RúFús!!
How would these compare to the Huawei Freeclip? (Not on your list, but I think available in Oz?)
I'm yet to test them

That is the same with the C40i, positioning is key. Nice to see they upgraded the call quality
@@pickyaudio I have tried the C40 i; it is much more comfortable and no longer painful. In terms of sound quality, the C30i is far superior.
Great reviews 👍🏻
"I'm waiting for you to compare it with the Huawei Free Clip 😁"

Will you be reviewing the Bowers and Wilkins pi6, mate? They seem like a more budget friendly audiophile option compared to the pi8. Much love!
No plans! But I do live the Pi8 so that would be cool to check out
Picky Audio looking real fresh 🔥
Cheers!
Fabulous review as always! Dying to hear your thoughts on the new Tozo Open Ear Rings as compared to the C40i and the Bose Ultra Open.
I didn't even see the vid yet, but that with t-shirt you got me

Hi, what do you think of the Huawei FreeClip compared to the C40i? A comparative test would be great because the Huawei are a reference.

Great review
Really interested in these. Can anyone tell me if you can wear glasses while wearing them?
can you review the Soundcore R50i NC and the P40i

would love to see you try Xiaomi OpenEar Stereo!

What about Huawei ear clips??
Will you review the Huawei Freeclips?

Can you rank the new Sony linkbuds both open and closed designs🙏🏼

Finally button controls. 😀

A bulge penalty 😅 love it. Thanks for the review. 👍🇺🇸
No worries! That'll have to be a new thing going forward 😅
Stopped watching when you said discomfort.
I stopped watching as soon as I see how the buds look like.
Give them a chance.

I sent the 30s back because they were not flexible. These should be better
@
I got mine yesterday. They are flexible for sure. The button is very easy to use. Super comfortable
Those c40s are terrible. I had them for a week and sent them back and got the aerofit 2. The c40s hurt my ears are 10 mins of use.. sound was ok
How do you like the AeroFit 2s?
@@JavisBoomTech awesome! Wear them all the time. I forget i have them on
I always forgot I'm still wearing my aerofit pro , insanely comfort
Soundcore .. AGAIN! Seems like their thousands of giveaways pay off.
