Totally relatable, Jimmy's set it and forget it, and turn through the ball ended up saving my game. Tried all sorts of tricks but this common sense approach works. Just have to trust that you will make contact as your body is doing the work and not the arms so much. About 4 trackman sessions plus going through the motions at home every day transformed my weak fade/slices into draws, although the odd hook. Driver went from about 220 to 260 (total ) and 7 iron from 130 to 160.

Jimmy I was the same way. You teach a very basic swing. Newbies like myself have watched too many videos. I’m 55 years old and started playing 6 months ago. I’ve been doing this basic swing for a while now. Guys are commenting on they can’t believe how far I hit the ball with such a slow steady swing. The result is good contact and letting the club do the work. I have a lot of work to do but your videos have helped tremendously. Thanks again!

Jimmy, I had the best day of golf today. My friends and I got to play golf in the beautiful sunny 50 degree weather in St Louis. I played my 7 iron so good my friends are saying how are you doing that hitting it right on the green. We play on a par 3 course. I have been watching your videos religiously and I love that they are so repetitious. I also was choking down on my putter and putting a lot better. 321, that helped me, I’m going on tour!,😂😂👍 I’m so glad I have your videos to watch this winter.

Hi Jimmy, I took up golf after i retired. I've been playing for 5 years now and have always strugglled with my irons. I have a 27 handicap and struggle to hit in the low 90's. I started watching your videos about 6 weeks ago and have been practicing as you have shown. I am also playing the ball back futher in my stance as mentioned in other videos. I broke 90 the last 3 times out since using your methods and am hitting the irons 100 percent better. Of course its winter here in New England now so I haven't gone out since. I plan to keep practicing at home over the winter and hopefully start hitting in the 80's consistently. Thank you for helping me improve my game.

Guys ----- did anyone notice that
Vic is pulling his head to look at the shot. Alright Sir--- a few things --- stop looking up at the shot, the ball will go where it goes but if you remain relaxed and looking at the ball through contact. That wil make a WORLD of difference. Second --- does anybody notice Jimmy's right hand??? If you look carefully you will notice he is pulling the club back with his pointer finger and thumb in tbe initial take away. FEEL that --- we all know feel and real are two different things but that's what you should be feeling. Try it !!!! Keep grinding Vic, your doing awesome Kid !!!

I have noticed that if you don’t turn your hips, it’s almost impossible to keep that face closed on the backswing, if you try to it will feel like you can’t do it. There are two things I have in my head now, head still, turn hips. When I do those 2 things everything else just works.

Jimmy, I haven't watched this video yet, but I am hoping you read this because I watched you in some pain at Menifee. I think I have two things that will help you with those short putts. First, Hogan said "the guy that adjusts first and fastest is the guy that wins". 1. You can change your aim point during your round on those short putts. It's like a shooter would use "Kentucky Windage" I noticed you missed a lot of those short putts left...if that happens during a round, rather than try to fix your stroke aim more right. The second is a mechanical fix...my buddy told me if I feel my right elbow slightly touching my right side during the stroke, it helps with not taking the putter outside and coming across it from the outside. Actually there is a third thing.... sometimes good golfers like yourself let fear take over and "decelerate" through the impact zone. Other than missing those few short putts that could have put you even, your long game was great.
