The Dodge engine looks suspiciously modern. OHV, valve cover, screw on modern oil filter. It should look like the engine in the clip from 2010. Flat top, valves on the side, etc.
Yes. It also had a automatic trans oil cooler mounted behind the radiator and a automatic trans dip stick under the hood. I don’t know if restomoded is the correct term for it, but it was definitely updated.

Hey Mike. Didn't know you were in Danville. I'm about 130 miles away in NC. The 05 XJ8 does not have the Nikasil liner. Jaguar replaced it with steel liners after 2000! The 05 XJ8 (X350) was an absolutely more reliable car compared to the earlier XJ8 (X308)and XK8! The best of them all was the 95-97 XJ6 (X300)! ENJOY ALL YOUR VIDEOS!!!!!!

Hi from uk MRM👋 that dodge at beginning had, I've had a garage or tree (storm damage) blown on her and she would be or is a jem 😍😍 the days were as you had to connect with your car before connecting to road if you could not connect with car you did not drive ( either had to do it or you walked its simple! ) now we just get in and drive and barely feel a connection between the road unless our suspension hanging out then you think there be problem ( the future is nothing like the past) we just more and more complacent as drivers lol and what colour did you say that jaguar was pink?😬😂 they are nice cars and comfy but hard work as no room under bonnet / hood to work on 😵 lol hope you got merc back ok sir and minimal trouble am sad for randy like I feel his pain but she looks good tho just suit that recovery truck tho poor fella😢 anyway you did great in first copart walkaround mike just watch out for randy he be watching you 🤔👀👀 (just need a booster pack 😬 you be safe and and thanks for time👍be safe and see you soon 👍👋
At the 11 mark, that jag is well taken care of inside but wow poor old girl wasn't treated well on the outside. Hope she finds a new life and not a donor end.
For the right price that smart car would be a good candidate for a body swap! Have you ever seen all the different bodies you can get for a smart car!?! They are so cool! And I’ve never actually seen one in real life, just on the internet

I know of a certain channel that bought a mid 80's jaguar , the prior owner had swapped out the original engine and transmission to a small block chevy V8 , the certain guys installed a blower onto it and then drove it back to California ( named it the " draguar " ) some know of the channel as " roadkill " with David and Mike ( finnigan ) .
Those old Jags are nice. Elegant and sophisticated. But Jaguar has seemed to have lost its soul. Newer ones look like every thing else and quality has diminished. But I still love them. Great video.

Mike, you did GREAT! My dad had a 30 Model A & a 28 Model T convertible. That one was much more luxurious but ours were 100% original. As a kid, yuck. It was the 60s..muscle cars! Your personality shines more than the cars.
