Isabella Rossellini and film critic/author John Anderson will discuss her bold and distinctive career in the cinema, illuminated by clips from her films.
I waited on, Isabella , in NYC. I served her a healthy breakfast at a Diner & was just nice. I didn’t betray that I knew her & was a fan. We each knew. She was plain, friendly & lovely. She read her book & dwelled on her decaf & left me a nice tip. Beautiful with zero make up. God bless you, Isabella. 💕
She is a lovely and beautiful ❤️ person. Her mother and father raised her well. She is a credit to both of them. She is the personification of beauty and character. What a great lady.
God, thank you soo much! It's so rare to see Isabella, especially in such a long interview. :) Such beauty and elegance! Love her.
The interviewer concentrates so much on Blue Velvet, but Isabella rises above his comments with her intelligent, knowledgeable replies. Well done! Your mother would have been proud of you.
Blue Velvet is very salacious. John may not get out much.
I thought the interviewer did a fine job. He permitted her to elaborate. A good thing, as she is such an articulate person. No real interruptions. I enjoyed this tremendously. Isabella is magnificent. ❤️
I was Isabella's Assistant during her Lancôme and Blue Velvet years! She is lovely, kind, funny, generous, beautiful & I adore her! I have worked for MANY celebrity's after Isabella. She and Marisa Tomei are by far at the top of my list. I LOVE this interview.
Wow, I'm envious. I'm so glad she is as lovely to work for. Thank you for sharing 😊
I'm glad, too. There are "stars" I can sense would be nightmares to work around.
Having a bad boss is hell even if the boss is nobody and paying you 9 an hour.
In the town I'm in, 9 is pretty good because it's fast food and low end retail.
The ones who make more money and who are supervisors seem to be hired because they are rude to the underlings.
I went into McDonald's and the supervisor was talking very disrespectfully to a young teenage employee.
I wanted to clear my throat and say, "excuse me. Excuse me. I can hear you and I'm not going to place an order because it's disturbing that you will make money off my patronage."
I doubt she understood the meaning of the word but I just couldn't stay there after seeing that.
Fast food is notorious for turnover and I know why.
She's just beyond time and words.
I've never wanted to be anyone else but I would be her in less than a second.
I don't know what movie she made with Norman Mailer. I never was a fan of his writing.
I saw a play of his "Strawhead" in NYC.
I wanted to like it but it was mostly incoherent and the characters, including Marilyn, were one dimensional.
I didn't know Marilyn and know none of the people in her life but Marilyn was not one dimensional.
I know lots of one dimensional people but she's not one of them.
You worked with Isabella AND Marisa Tomei?! That's just not fair. Lol.
They are two huge favorites of mine. It's great to hear of their congeniality, but not surprising. ❤️
Wow!!!
A quality actor that is very very rare in Hollywood , bravo Isabella !
watching 50th time , my all time favorite interview
Bravo isabella. Such an intelligent, playful conversation
Every actor should see this . What she says about Peter Weir and Richard Avedon is amazing . She is her father's child . A true actress and now she makes films as a director . She is involved with her father's work but to hear her talking about commercial stars like Julia Roberts and European cinema is fantastic . John Schlesinger and David Lynch ,Weir : she has worked with everyone ! YOu see her mother when you look at her !
Love listening to her stories. She sounds so much like her mom!
this is one of the most comprehensive interviews of an actor discussing the filmmaking process -
the most marvelous twist is that the martini of the night is Rossellini -
thank you so much for posting these regis dialogue's!
Fascinating lady. She is so individualistic and funny too.
Love the way she laughs … straight from the heart . Love her mom’s movies too ❤️❤️❤️
She is so amazing. She's eloquent without being phony.
She is more than gorgeous in many ways… Knowing both Swedish and Italian ladies I realized while watching this great interview: Isabella combines both mentalities, Charme and beauty in a truly unique quality. Both countries can be very proud…
Isabella looks and sounds so much like her mother. When I first watched Isabella in a movie, I was very much taken by her. At that time, I had no idea she was Ingrid's daughter.
I’m infatuated with Isabella and her wonder intelligence.
Very interesting interview and a lovely person 😊
As great as her mother. So special.
How could one not love and admire that marvellous women`?! If I were a man I would be lost... How could her former husbands let her go anyway?
Special woman! Beautiful and interesting! 🌹
I have always admired this lady's spirit. Something in her reminds me of myself. she is an amazing and down to earth lady.
love her
Enchanting
She's Brilliant :)
She is so easy to talk to!
Her mother thru & thru 👑
The Criterion Collection!
Isabella love ❤️ you and your incredible Mom😍
She sounds like her Mother.
Happy birthday isabella from italian boy live in rome
WOW! This is so great! Who is the model that she references regarding her character in Blue Velvet?
Three models I think. Japanese doll she had as a child of a Geisha woman with the mask of make-up and black hair. Then a little girl on the cover of Time who got caught in a land mine. Her clothes were on fire and ripped off. Her skin came off her arms and looked like cloth falling off the arms as she ran naked in the street. Then the third was the writer' s experience as a child when he and his brother saw a terrified woman running helpless naked in the street- they cried in horror.
a magnificent woman with a beautiful laugh!!!❤
Great Actress -- 😌
she looks awful outside of her work.... why???
Don't think so!
She looks like a normal, real, woman, not the Lancôme model.
Real Person v Persona
She looks gorgeous, if your awful means a face piled with make up, than your awful is not mine. So get lost.
What?!! One of us is late for an appointment with the eye doctor. Hmm, come to think of it, I had one, recently.
