The Spitfire pilot used his aircrafts advantages Skilfully to secure a kill with minimum use of ammunition the Hayabusa pilot also flew skilfully but his aircrafts manouverability advantages were mitigated by the Spitfire pilot keeping out of his gunnery range .A very good dogfight and with the more likely outcome
idk how well the game models the real thing, but the almost UFO like maneuvers of the Ki should have made it more competitive? A staggering roll rate and slip slide looks awesome. I'm neither pilot nor gamer but enjoy the historical industrial capability of different countries in WW2
@@jeffmoore9487 the Spitfire pilot negated the Haybusas manouverability by using his zoom climb and speed advantage , should the Spitfire have got into a tight turn dogfight he would have been shot down very quickly .incidentally about 25 years ago I had the opportunity to inspect one of the few remains Haybusas it is a tiny aircraft superbly built very streamlined I was able to put my arms around the rear fuselage by the tail plane and have my hands meet ! The aircraft was supposedly a non flyer but the pilot lifted it into the air on a high speed taxi run “ to save wear and tear on the tires “
@@grantlassing7055 I didn't expect such a fine reply. I don't celebrate any war, but these machines (and lots of other machines) are a testimony of enormous collective creativity - even if just for fighting. i think about museums, but haven't been in a long time. Amazing you could get your arms around that fuselage!
Thankyou Jeff , I just remembered that the fuselage and wings were so smooth and streamlined with no foot rests or handles for the pilot to grab that a plaited leather lead with a woven knob on the end ( somewhat like a thick bullwhip ) was stored in the fuselage for the pilot to pull himself up to the cockpit !
I gather that was more a practice of the IJN than the IJA, but it does help explain why the Japanese were so short on experienced flyers by the end of the war.

Out climb best tactic by Spitfire. Thumbs up video!

True. Definitely too weak motor at this time to be a good opponent of Spitfire VIII. Regards!

What are the addons you are using?
I use Reshade to make better colors, another mods you can find on Sturmovik 1946 Special Air Service site
sas1946.com
@@tomekrol Do you know specifically the names of the addons and if it is compatible with BAT?
@@juansebastianruizrodriguez217 Seek in BAT there is full description, know-how.
Very few if any Japanese fighter pilots took parachutes with them inn WW2.

Nice!
Show!!!

Le kai 43 était très maniable et performant, mais était mal armé il me semble ……2 mitrailleuses 7.7 mm ,et zéro blindage
