I was told by dealer, the check engine light stays on because it could be the AFC, or another sensor or wiring, but they need to do a thorough check...also, just because Code 1157 came up, due to our 06 Accord was based on CA admissions, it could cost more...so, do all the same diagnostic machines it have same Code 1157 for a faulty AFC, or does Honda have it's own codes?
@@HowtoAutomotive yes absolutely perfect. Most of the time I'm sitti8ng on here trying to find a certain video for hours and sometimes never finding anything worth a shit. You guys made that a whole hell of a lot easier! THANK YOU.
Great video, helped me do my first o2 sensor on my wife's 04 Acura tsx. Only question is do I erase codes after replacing the sensor with car running, Then shut off and turn back on? Thank you anyone who can help.
same, get autozone to clear the code, or unplug battery for 10 mins then back on, it'll restart the code. and if it comes back, its the O2 sensor, heard not to buy cheap ones from Ebay, but i ain't spending $600 for 1 sensor -,-
Hey Brian.. All your videos are awesome. You must have a lot patience when working on the German cars. In this video, is the CEL the only way to know if your O2 sensor is bad? Are there any preventive maintenance ie. change out after x miles? Would this also cause a bad cat converter? I've tried those commerical cleaners but the light comes off &on. Wondering if I can do anything else besides replacing. My car (same one in this video) runs good despite the CEL. Thanks & please keep up the professional & great work..
Omar Qureshi there's no preventive maintenance that I know. The most common way for these to fail is the electric heater in the unit burns out. If it's causing the car to run severely Lean or severely rich it possibly could damage the cat but usually you have drivability issues with that. You can also sit codes for fault fault code for the converter.
@@HowtoAutomotive noice! I've also heard that A/F is the new and improved o2 sensor but can cost 10x more than o2 sensor. I need to replace mines for my Lexus rx but it'll cost $500 for oem -, -
Yes, I replaced it last weekend. Your video made it so easy.
Sweet! Right to the point and very detailed... New subscriber here, because this was that good! Thank you Sir! 👍
Thank you very much I really appreciate it thank you good video
Sweet. Just about to order it. My code reader said Bank 1 Sensor 1. It's this one right?
Just what I needed. Thank you much
Thank you for watching! Are you doing it this weekend?
Then I reset all the codes. No codes have set since replacement. I was getting about 200 miles per full tank of gas. Will see if that helps.
David Boswell If that was the problem it will definitely help.
@@davidboswell2260 did it help ?
What would be the correct voltage reading on the k24 upstream and would it have a wide range like an O2
Finally I got it. Thank you very much.
Thanks for the video. Helped me out alot!! 👍🏽
Brian, what was the engine light code ? Was it p1157?

Good luck with the season 👍 thank you for watching!
Wish you would’ve showed how he disconnected the clipl
Is this sensor 1 bank 1??
I can't get the connecter to break loose at all..any ideas?
Did u figure out how to get it loose?
Do you put anti-seize on the other sensor as well? The one that goes into the catalytic converter...
The best!
Simple to follow along, nice job.
wyattoneable thank you and thank you for watching!

Good job 👍
My CL9 2.4, 2004 year, check engine and obd trouble Code says P2a00, this is Sensor? Must i better change it?
I have a p0133 code should I replace the o2 sensor or the A/F sensor?
If only they (for other manufacturers) were all that straight forward to replace. =)
Thomas EXOVCDS I know. At least it wasn't Rusty
Bryant i heve 2 different code on my 04 rsx p1164 end p0134 what did you recommend to do thanks
Would this be the same for a acura 07 tsx
This is the 02 sensor, the Air Fuel Ratio sensor in up top
Aren’t there two oxygen sensors on the 2.4 L?
Yes Upstream and downstream o2 sensors
This cod is p0135???
I replaced both and I’ve been getting code p0141 do u think I need a cat I don’t think I tightened them as much as u did I’ll have to check
No. Cat sensor is the downstream o2 sensor. Different location.
What is the perfect afr for this car? Mines reads about 14.30 to 15.00 is it ok?
The stoichiometric ratio should be 14.7:1 for anything that uses gasoline for power.
I replace this sensor and now is giving me same code for the sensor any help idk what do no more

How to Automotive thanks for replying. I will just have to keep an eye out for it. Let's hope another bottle clears it out. Btw.. Happy New year.
what a sign u have a bad o2 sensor???
IS IT THE SAME ON 09 TSX?
SP FromNY914 very similar.
only problem with this you didn't turn the vehicle on again to see if the light would come on again
is the code p1157
do u have to go under the car?
Yes on this model that’s the only way to get to it.
thank you for the fast response.
A P0133 popped out in my 2.4L honda accord 2007
what i do if i dont have scanner to clear the code..
what can i do ?
disconnect your battery. its a natural reset
accord cl9 2.4 5km par 1letar😣 how increes mileg?
hammad saleem I would start with the basics first before replacing a sensor. Such as spark plugs air filter’s.
This ain't the A/F ratio sensor??? its just the O2 sensor?????
The upstream is an A/F downstream is an oxygen Sensor
