Kabaligtaran naman sa akin, I'm done with the private sector for 16 years. Now I've eaten those words. My last work was May 2020, tagal ko nagtiis, nagtiyaga at nag antay sa lahat ng positions applied for. Naubos savings dahil walang kasiguraduhan takbo ng sitwasyon dala ng pandemic. Entering government service at aged 45 also a PWD, everything is a new beginning for me.
Glad to know that it worked for you!
Sir after nyo mainterview binigay din ba yung application paper tpos sbi skin na wait for a call daw po pero during the panel interview I saw the head officer in hospital signing may paper ngangahulugan ba na tanggap ako slmt
@@amorlove9424 antay mo yung OATH OF OFFICE at ASSUMPTION TO DUTY documents yan ang kailangan para mag umpisa ikaw sa work
@@eyb_ office work pwede pasukin mo kahit saan government agency, basta ipasa mo lang yung LET or Civil Service Eligibility.
I've worked for several government agencies for three years and the ability to "say no" is really important. I experienced burnout and so many anxiety-inducing situations. It's saddening.
i like how honest you are here! Bravo!
Thank you! :)
Relate much! Left a permanent position in government after 4+ years of being a Civil Servant and agree to everything you said Oshean. Honestly can say that benefits & salary are things I didn’t want to lose at first but just had enough of it aside from being called to another path already. Worked for a private company before and the ‘care’ and respect for employees in the private company compensates for the lack of benefits etc the government employees have. At the end of the day..what matters is where you can fulfill your purpose and being paid for your efforts proportionately but most esp to be a decent human being and not succumbing to the dirty system ~ private or government.
Thanks Kryzzy! Same sentiments. Before, I was afraid to work sa private sector kasi ewan ko ba. Medyo iffy ako. But now, I'm very happy with where I am right now. Same sentiments also! Happy for you
Thanks for this, Oshean!! ✨
Thank you for watching, Vince! :)
thank you for this content, laking tulong po especially for insights from someone na nagtrabaho na sa gov
Thank you, Verson!
Yung nanghihinayang ka hindi dahil you left your work but because of the years wasted in the gov. 😢
Job Order Worker here for 3 years under GOCC and yes the experience was not good . I got a regular position this year under NGA. Though I am lucky to have a job right now and I learned a lot. Madami pa din work na you can earn more at mas papahalagahan ka. :)
I had a short experience working in the government, as an intern. With that experience I could say the bureaucracy is really not worth it, especially if you are at the bottom of the food chain. Better to work for private companies where you know you’re effort will be properly compensated.
Thank you for sharing ❤
Hi 👋🏻 your video helps me a lot! kakapasa ko lang ng CSE this year and planning to resign in my current job (private company) and mag apply sa Govt, Well thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences working in the government atleast my idea na rin ako☺️ And Goodluck sa aking Journey ❤
Preparing for Civil Service Exam for government post in the future.
I applied last Sept 18 pass all the documents they need then Last Wed Sept 27- i got hired. Start na ako sa October 2 as IT Analyst in Government Agency ( No Exam No Interview No PRC No Civil Service. Easy to apply naman and may appointment na.
Regular position?
Been working as a permanent public school teacher in the Government for 9 years already and planning to resign this year. Yes, the only thing that they have for you is their so-called "security and benefits" , aside from that wala na. Yes, you have to learn to say NO sa lahat ng pinapagawa sau, specially if you're skilled and with talents in using tech, naku maaabuso ka tlga. The only compensation they can give you from your skills are Certifications (incentives? Ano un? Service credit na barya2 lng naman, tama sa inyo na 😂) that you can use for your promotions which only works best kung my kapit ka and with master degree/required units syempre😂 May mga Pros naman being a government employee pero mas makapal ang Cons for me. Sobrang nakakasawa na, lalo na if you're a public school teacher, you have to do everything kahit work ng ibang mga government agencies mapa DRMM, DOH, AGRI, DSWD, etc., Nakaka burn out sobra. But if you love your work stay, if you value yourself.. find a way something that gives you more value.
Anong dept and work nyo sa govt noon? I agree that some people that I know already "succumbed" to the system without even realizing it. It really all boils down sa morals tlga nung tao/employee.
Hi! Sa planning office ako :)
Only SL and VL lng benefits ng govt? Wlang matatanggap na other cash benefits monthly?
I feel you. So sad
Hi Sir! I'm already a cse passer and graduated with flying colors din at everytime na may makita akong hiring posts from diff. govt agency apply agad ako once na qualified naman ako based sa qualifications na nilabas nila. But, unfortunately never po akong nahired kahit paabutin man lang sa interview.
Employee??
Next question. Kakaresign ko lang sa work ko yesterday (last day) I have 50K emergency fund plus 8K cash on hand. I don't want to use or touch the 50K no matter what. Need ilagay muna sa mga low risk investments like Time Deposit? Money Market Fund? Bond Fund? I am looking forward for comment po.
Hi Rence! Thank you for watching this video.
I have some videos about emergency funds also. Hmm kaso since nag-resign ka sa work, may I ask if do you have other sources of income ba just to get by? Kasi if none, dun papasok yung emergency funds mo.
It's always recommended not to put your emergency funds on investment schemes because of liquidity purposes. We want our emergency funds as accessible as possible.
What I recommend is put your emergency funds on digital banks like ING, CIMB, and they have decent interest rates per annum (CIMB has 4%, ING has 2%).
You can check out this video that I made on what banks are good for your digital banks :) ruclips.net/video/EY5RVd-5aW0/видео.html
so before you invest, make sure that your emergency fund is refilled again, and then saka ka mag-invest. It might really take some time before your EFs to be refilled again, but don't worry -- patience and discipline talaga yan :D
Hope this helps! :)
@@osheanlee Wala na po akong other sources of income aside from my job. That's why I am allocating my time to acquire skills and value (like watching videos in RUclips Facebook Ads, Affiliate Marketing, or FOREX trading) that will be use as another source of income. I am also applying for a new job now that offers work from home arrangement.
@@rencechannel2240 Ohh gets! Sige good luck Rence and I hope you'd be able to look for a new job as well :D
For me i worked as a civil engineer sa private for 2 years and salary was too low and im from baguio worked at manila. I am now working as permanent employee sa govt for 3 years and i can say that compensation is about right.. as a civil engineer working about only 3.5km away from my home is definitely good thing for me already. Siguro working atmosphere is same sa private and governement para sakin since same naman na may mga walking cctvs. 😂😂
You cannot assume your position without an appointment. Hindi ka mababayaran ng services mo. Go to HR and seek advice.
Thanks!!
no idea po sa CoA, sorry
Pwd kaba maging regular if hindi ka civil service passer? How sahod nila or ng mga newbie po.
Hi! Aside from those that I've mentioned on my video, you can find other ways to be eligible for a CSE here: www.csc.gov.ph/2014-08-26-07-36-12/eligibilities-granted-under-special-laws-and-csc-issuances.html
For 99% of the time, Gov't Jobs is way better than any private as long as you're a regular.
7:16 One time nag apply ako sa Antipolo bale offer nila sa akin is J.O. tapos di pala sinusunod nakalagay sa CSC site like salaries..
yup. ganito pag job orders talaga.
Wait really? Di pala yun regular position yung nasa csc career portal?
@@Zwalter Kung gusto mo talaga mag work sa Public Sector must be CSC passer ka.
Hi Im a newbie. Pag mga Casual employees po ba can still have benefits po? Thank you
Hi Marion, casual employees yes. Make sure to know the difference between Permanent, Casual, Contractual, and Job Order.
@@osheanlee Thank you po😊
Hi Ambrose, unfortunately yeah. There are a lot of government positions na umaasa sa padrino.
@@osheanlee SG4 sya
No csc exam, no prc license but permanent
san ka po?
seryoso?
anong eligibility hawak mo?
Military service po
Meron malakas na backer 😅
Hello. I want to be a teacher at a state university in the future and they usually hire contract of service teachers. Can contractual employees become permanent?
Hi Abegail! Some state universities would have specific requirements para maging permanent teachers. E.g. in UP, kelangan may Master's degree and at least nakapag-publish ng 1 research paper. You can ask your state university of interest for this. Hope this helps!
Hello. State U instructor here. You need a Master's degree to get a permanent position, otherwise you'll either not get accepted or get accepted under contract of service status. If you get the latter, you'll be paid hourly, so your salary will depend on your assigned hourly rate and how many hours (subject units) are given to you.
Also, getting accepted under COS status means you're supposed to get a Master's degree in a couple years since they reserve the right to not renew your contract if you stagnate.
Sometimes you'll get few subject units which means low salary, but sometimes you'll get a lot of subject units and make good bank.
@@aseukaryotic9982 Hello po appreciate your answer po. Ilang hiring na po kasi nabasa ko from a state university dito sa amin and it's always contract of service po but same requirements with what you said. Master's and/or doctoral tapos published papers, civil service exam passed, and teaching experience required pero contract of service po nakalagay kaya nagtanong po ako dito haha kasi baka forever contactual.
I don't think they accept po ng hindi pasok sa qualifications na nakasulat sa nilabas nilang notice of vacancy. Yung mismong positions for instructors ay contract of service po. It looks like if I pursue applying in the state university here in our place, I would probably be applying in a contract of service too because in the 2 year notice of vacancies I read, wala pa ako nabasang permanent and I got nervous baka hindi pwede maging permanent position.
Hi I wanna how to apply. Kapag may Nakita kse Ako na vacancy may nakalagay na no of hrs training. Sila ba magpprovide nun?
