To be honest Disco I barely watch the shows I only listen to you and Konnan and Cornette 🤣
It's getting harder and harder to listen to disco try and get out a sentence
So refreshing to hear Eric's thoughts unfiltered. On his podcast, Conrad alwaya stops him when he trashes AEW pr Tony Khan.
"Now that's just mean."
Conrad The "Leech"
Everyone is PR now because the fans are simps
WWE is doing this thing that I am really enjoying right now is how so many wrestlers and characters have multiple angles going on at the same time. Sami Zayn is in a heel faction, yet he's also a comedic babyface. It's really great TV.
And we see him every week. They know when he'll get a kings welcome (in canada) and they play off things at every turn. Khan is not that gifted. Only he doesn't know that. Everyone around him does. 😆
@@joshx022 according to him people say he's like a Paul Heyman
@@joshx022 Tony sent out a tweet a few weeks ago that perfectly demonstrates how piss poor he is creatively. It was something like... at the last roh event, Claudio and Yuta came out to stare down so and so at the end of the show. Tonight, it's Claudio vs so and so! Lol like that is a storyline in his eyes

Tony Khan would help AEW out a lot if he stopped talking public.
AEW still obsessed with WWE when they need to focus and concentrate on themselves
it really is insane that they want to focus on this non-existent war instead of building up their own roster
I guarantee they will find a way to mention wwe this week on AEW
AEW Ratings according to the dirt sheets: First it was total viewership. When that dropped, it was the demo. When that dropped, it was live attendance numbers. When that dropped, it was year over year. When that dropped, it was your placement on the cable charts that mattered. When that dropped, it's now the gate amount that is all that matters. And when all else fails, blame The Challenge on MTV or Little League World Series. Rampage isn't to be measured, but shit on NXT.
The best comment about this. You perfectly summed it up.
Yep perfect description
That is about the skinny of it.

Tony calling AEW combat sports is funny. Most of the wrestlers in AEW don't look like the could fight their way out of a paper bag even if they are Athletic. He said that with a straight face while having Punk as champion the joke of MMA. That's like Taco Bell saying they sell real quality Mexican food 😂 UFC you are not Tony try again.

WWE are leaving AEW in the dust, Tony doesn't know the difference between fake fights and wrestling show.
Eric Bischoff exposed AEW for being in massive debt
@Ryan Wilson years ago
@Ryan Wilson he said that, from sources within the company, that AEW's planned budget was some like 150-200 million over.
@Ryan Wilson last I heard it was up at 110 million. I wonder if it gets delayed with so many leaving the company?
@Ryan Wilson there simply isn't a chance that the game will make a profit. That being said, the WWE game was a massive hit at a time when they were never less popular so who knows. I really don't see it though
@Ryan Wilson it really does look horrible, putting out a trailer with unfinished CG is just an amazingly bad choice

Guess who dies first, an 18-39 year old or a 52 year old?
The median age is 52 because they are the only ones who still have Nielsen boxes....You don't see many people that age in the crowds of these shows. Not to mention that the majority of people in "the demo" are still living with their parents.
Dude are you on all these videos posting this or is it different people? They have teams of actuaries and analysts coming up with this data. They’re really smart and they know what they’re doing. They take EVERYTHING into account. It’s teams of Ivy League stats graduates doing this. It’s not just a random number somebody pulled out of their ass.
@@HkFinn83 Then why did Nielsen even say their metric was outdated back in 2016? And no, this is the first time I posted on this page.
@@jasperdaniels9124 you’re not getting it. AEW has its own analyst teams. The tv ratings are a part of their analysis and a huge part of it, because that’s most of their business. All the ad sales are dependent on it. They have to present exact data to corporate sales. The tv contract is negotiated on it. They also have huge data banks on social media activity, ticket sales, merch sales etc. They know EXACTLY who their customers are, and it’s backed up by the tv ratings. There are numerous multi multi million dollar concerns involved, and their data is central to all of it. I don’t know what you’re imagining big business is like, but it’s not amateurish. Anything you can think of, they already know. It’s not just a random guess and they’re not dependent on Nielsen. If anything, the Nielsen rating might be generous with the average age. If it wasn’t and Tony knew otherwise...he wouldn’t be able to keep his mouth shut.
@@HkFinn83 So when is the AEW analytics team full of rocket scientists going to post their proof of WWE bots being the source of all anti-AEW speak on social media? They entire organization is full of amateurs who don't know a fucking thing.

Doctor "pill" popper 🤣🤣🤣 you really need to slow your speaking down Disco. You get too ahead of yourself.
Pimple Popper, not Pill Popper.
I have to disagree when Eric says you can't compare AEW to WWE at all. WWE has been in existence for 60+ years, AEW has been in existence for a total of 3 and a half years. AEW is regularly bearing WWE in the 18-49 demo and is only regularly trailing behind in total viewers each week by 500k - 700k viewers. So they are right to compare AEW to WWE. Not to mention that tv is no where near the way it was 25 years ago and there isn't nearly as many people watching regular cable television. Everything is online or on streaming services nowadays.
FYI, AEW Dynamite is up significantly year-over-year in total viewers (979K vs. 903K).
They have grown their audience every year - 2022 is up from 2021, which was up from 2020, which was up from 2019.
76,000 viewers is not a significant number.
@@alejandromelendez1609 Sure it is. It’s a 8.5% increase.
@@Gregamania-rg9ck 8.5% when your base number is already low is nothing to brag about.
@@alejandromelendez1609 Of course it is. They were already #1 on Wednesdays, and then grew by an additional 8.5% in 2022. In fact, they’ve grown their audience every year they’ve been on TV (since 2019).
@@Gregamania-rg9ck wrong, but stay delusional.
Big whop
Eric is wrong. Pro-wrestling is indeed a sport outside of America. Japan being the best example, they train their guys with a jiujitsu base for a couple years before they're in the ring. It's supposed to be a mixture of stunt work and character pageantry, both being what is the spectator "scores" the wrestler's performance based on. The American promotions turned it into a political game which is why our match quality is so poor in comparison. To even say Pro-wrestling is "not a sport" is part of the political mind game that is American "sports entertainment".
Are wins and losses in Japanese wrestling pre-determined? Because if they are, then it’s not a sport.
@@alejandromelendez1609 That's what I mine by the wrestler being "scored" by the spectator based on "pageantry and execution of stunt work". The "wins and losses" are the pretext for how the match is booked. The "sport" is in the fact that the level of performance is visibly better with a prolonged amount of training and in ring experience. "Sports Entertainment" is what you are referring to.
Trust me every GOOD Pro wrestler will agree that they're an athlete. Was Rey Mysterio Jr. NOT an athlete because he was "booked" to win all his greatest matches?
You should see a little Pro-wrestling from outside of America like AAA or New Japan. You would clearly see what I'm talking about.
@@blackieblackmetal7218 nope. Your personal definition of a sport doesn’t change the actual definition of it. In a sport, wins and losses are not pre-determined. A sport is a legitimate competition in which wins and losses are determined by the competitors themselves.
im shocked disco needs this explained to him. im a fan and know why. your stats doesn't cover streaming or other forms of watching. But your trying to compare a 3 year old company to a 90 year old company. if the 2020 taught us is the old standard is tired and gone. just like the standard ppv market. aew didn't change a narrative. wwe knows this and is driving their company.
but never let disco jock riding of wwe to interfere with blasting aew for listeners. So you get listeners from covering aew content. then you say dont watch aew. so aew goes under. then listeners to this goes down and someone actual funny takes over, but no one rises to replace aew for another 10 years.
great job on being productive at being a cancer or a leech to aew. without aew you wouldn't have the majority of your listeners. but crap on aew to get more listeners without doing any work or taking any bumps.
ill suspend my self from the mail bag for another month. disco wont even do that he will tell someone else to. there is a difference in trying to rant or bash for users. save that to people good at it like cornette. we don't need a wannabe cornette failing to be funny at it.
