Your enthusiasm is so infectious now I want one and to go adventuring down at the beach!
Still using the original Q as my main camera and I still love it :D
isn't a600 almost same size now?
I just discovered these cameras and of course your reviews! love them! I was wondering if it's really a must to get the newest model or just stick to the first one, the Pentax Q? I already have a high end camera and a GoPro but I wanted something very small and pocketable with interchangeable lens and these family look like a neat idea. So what do you recommend me? Any news on a new generation with wifi to wait for it?
The sunset shots of the harbour look so smooth and rich. This camera punches about its weight, or you just really good using it
Phiniox Glade Bit of both. Good tools only make good work easier when they're used properly. ;)
Thank you for this review... AND your joyful attitude! Awesome! God bless you! 😊
You have convinced me my friend, I have this Sony A3000, and this camera looks like it would be killing two minds even those mines is does have a larger sensor optical viewfinder the quality looks priceless though that's why I want this camera now
Ah if I had the money this would be so fun xD
you are obsesseddd.... lol
Have been aware of Blunty's excellent channel for a couple of years, and bought a cheap Panasonic camcorder at his recommendation, and I love it. Didn't see his Pentax Q series clips until August this year though, at which time I owned a grand total of ZERO cameras, of any sort, barring the one on my flip phone. I now, three months later own a Q, a Q10 and a Q7. Can anyone guess what my New Year's resolution is? ;)
With such tiny sensors they should make crazy wide aperture lenses, like 0.9 , 0.8 or something. That would be amazing for low light and actually possible to focus unlike the bigger formats.
Thanks for the video, been thinking about a Q10 as they are so cheap at the moment!
I like this guy, he convinced me into getting one.
Hey blunty could you make a video about cheap cameras for making videos and movies? I love the way that you review and criticize products.
you're right Blunty. So i'm giving my QS-1 to my smartest daughter. For the "Q" is enough of a camera to wet her appetite for photography per se. But I'll miss it. Also the Helios 44-2 and adapter which gives very creamy video. Bye friends.. :)
you are nuts mate :) you sound so happy , you make me happy :) thanks a lot, now you just made me want one again ....
Have you shot some film with the Pentax A110, they are lovely, accommodating several lenses .
I have. I own one, and a selection of original lenses… which I’ve also used adapted to modern cameras.
Holy carp! I wish my store carried Pentax kit :(
As much as I absolutely love my E-M5, my favourite camera will always be my older-than-I-am Pentax MX, given how bomb-proof it has proven, I'd love to have a go of their digital kit and see how it stacks up!
Wow, after watching your channel for 15 min. Ive added many things to my christmas/birthday list. Although they might look at the prices and say no, I still really want them! I like this channel! Subscribe!
this looks to be a fun cam and I'm on the fence if I'd like to dive into film or pick up a mirrorless as a back up light weight. Which is cheaper system? q system or Nikon pre gelded f mount and a FM/FE/F2/F3? I know the gear on the Nikon is very affordable, but developing film adds up so fast.
Okay... so I want this so bad!!!
This is the camera for travel photography ..... I WANT THIS ONE!!
I have the original Q and the Q7.... I wish they stayed with the build quality of the original and placed the Q7 sensor in it. The Q10 Q7 and QS1 build it too plasticy already.
That being said... I really love these small cameras! hehehe
I'm loving my Q10 camera (it's your fault I got it in the first place). Be great if you could make a video demonstrating how you use some of the filters and effects built into the camera. I personally like to use Raw all the time which limits the effects on the camera but gives so much more flexibility once you get the shots on to a computer. I'm not a "serious" photographer so am still a little unsure about the advantages of the upgrades in practical sense (reality so to speak). But great videos and I'm sure you've sold a fair few Pentax q's with your enthusiastic approach to these great little cameras. :)
100% with you! last year I was looking for system camera and was thinking about APS C sensor cameras finally I bought a Q7 and I am so happy with this system. thanks for your grate videos. I miss two lenses a Macro and a travel zoom like a 18-200mm equivalent.
Thanks for another great review Blunty! Like many other comments I see here, I have you to thank (blame!) for getting the original Q. After watching a few of your videos, I'm fairly convinced it has subliminal messages built in - I'm currently standing at two Q bodies and the 01 and 02 lenses, and on the verge of buying the 06! :-)
I LOVE your enthusiasm. It's infectious :D Fantastic review I must say. Oh and your photographic eye isn't too bad either
Thanks for the review. After watching your review of one of the original q cameras I bought one. You're so right. They are just so much fun to use. Will you be reviewing the 08 wide angle zoom. That looks very tasty.
Steve Daly ... How about 7 months ago. (and yes... It' awesome!) ruclips.net/video/PexGKkZ5dKU/видео.html
Doh! Missed that one. Thanks
I want one now. Lol
By the way, how would you compare Pentax QS1 to the Lumix GM5?
I have heard only excellent things about the Pentax brand but never have owned one.

Thanks for your review I am nervious to buy this camera, because I like canon, But I Travel a lot, and it is dificult to carry on, so Thanks again for all your coments
Your reviews helped me make up my mind on which mirrorless camera to get (aka the qs1) thank you!
You always put a smile on my face with these videos about the Q :)
blunty my friend you are a great photographer! and you inspire me all the time!
The Pentax Q Line Rocks!!! i'm gonna buy one soon
awesome review! pentax q system is definitely a joy!
I have had this camera for a few years now and I love it. It's hard to find accessories for it which is the only downside but it makes it feel like a collector's item so the hunt is worth it.
Hey Blunty, great review! You "made me" buy the original Q years ago and it has been amazing, i love it. (bought it over the Sony nex f3 at the time). Quick question though: What's the construction on this new QS1? It looks metalic, but today's plastics tend to fool me every time over video. I'm thinking about an upgrade, but i love the magnesium construction on the original Q so much!
Pedro Johnston Sadly, none but the original Q have had the brutal metal body... but it does mean this is significantly lighter... and I've had no issues of durability from my plastic bodied Q's (they just don't have the same wonderful cold metal "feel" in hand though, oh well)
Nice Doctor Who reference!
Love that show!
thanks for this review. going to buy it now
Nice photos Blunty
finallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
great review ... thanks
Like for Dr Who reference.
wow i want one!!
Thanks for the review blunty :) just wanted to ask, is there a flat setting for the video? And how does the dynamic range compare to a gopro? I'm looking for a camera to stick on a Dji phantom for a short film. Thanks.
You have as much control over the picture profile on the Q's as you do on their DSLR's... so yes, you can absolutely create a "flat" profile suitable for grading.
Blunty Perfect! Thanks :D
Love my Q thanks for the heads up with your first review
moved up to a sony rx100 now but miss the playful filters the Q has which can be added later to your pics
and the retro styling is adorable :)
Think its just styling
I like Q but will not buy it
I was eagerly waiting for your review despite the fact that I already bought one ..
