I am another beneficiary from this video in 2020. I used tweezer as a special tool to insert those 2 small holes, then try to turn 30 degree. It works and my faucet's problem disappeared. Thank you so much for your experience.
Can I just THANK you SO MUCH! I never registered this product, just wasn't worried about it. About 2 months ago, sprayer didn't have pressure, switched between sprays, and made a very high pitched sound. I tried to clean the sprayer piece, as I could see the water pressure was just fine from the hose itself, but, to no avail. I finally reached my boiling point tonight and could not have been more annoyed or frustrated. Came across your tutorial, did as you said, (took me a bit longer as I had no tool to fit in those tiny holes, ended up using 2 different eye glass repair tools), but managed to work it around a half circle.) Tried it again, and it's FIXED! This makes me so happy you don't even know. Appreciate you taking the time to post and help others.
You're welcome, Rosey! I forgot that I'd posted this video over a year ago. My faucet's been perfect since I did this fix, so I think you won't have any problems from now on.
It's been years since I did this. I don't remember seeing a restrictor. If there is one, I guess it's in the base of the faucet. Or it may not have one at all. If Kohler sized the hose correctly, the hose would act as the restrictor.
@@ElQuesoGuapo Did you know there is a special tool designed just for faucets like these so you don’t have to use pliers. It was given to me by a plumber for an old faucet I had, but, the spread on the notches don’t fit the Kohler faucet I have. Thank you anyway. 👍🏼
i was able to remove the outer screen/nozzle part as you did with pliers. BUT, do you know how to remove all the parts inside? mine has a white ring that appears to secure the other parts, however unsure how to remove. i think it is clipped/snapped in place. i will not force it in case it breaks.
You need to pop the rocker switch off. It's been a while since I did it, so I can't remember if there's a special trick. IIRC, you just use a plastic automotive body panel tool to pry it off. Once it's off, the rest of the mechanism can come out.
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this! Years later it is still helping. Worked like a charm.

Thank you so much for posting this video. I have been struggling with this for weeks now.
Thank you as I thought I could unscrew the head but wasn't sure until you showed us.
The needle nose pliars did the trick. I knew I needed a spanner wrench but didn't have one. Thanks.
Cresent wrench snugged up on 2 #10 nails fit into holes gives a lot of leverage to loosen aerator.
I just put my new sink in with one of these faucets. Pressure sucks coming out so I'm gonna have to try this.
Worked beautifully! Thanks!
I am so pleased that this works! Thank you so much!
Nice Fix, excellent video !
Snap ring pliers should work also. I wonder if there is a o-ring flow restrictor inside that can be removed like there was on my bathroom faucet.

Where can I purchase the tool ??? I’m afraid to use anything else for fear of damaging the product. Thank you your video was great 👍🏼
That's just a set of pistol grip needle nose pliers. You should be able to pick them up from any home improvement or tool store.
