Great idea. I am learning Spanish and I have one suggestion. For example, this is the sentence from the "En el Mercado":
Cliente: 200 gramos de cerezas, por favor.
It would be better to spell numbers because some people don't know how to say 200 in Spanish. Put it into brackets/parenthesis, for example - 200 (two hundred)

How much does reading stories help with listening comprehension? Is it a totally separate skill, or is there some crossover?
There is a good deal of crossover
But also a good deal of separation
Also it depends on the language. Some languages have more correspondance between their written and oral forms than others.
I've been forever trying to ask under what license you are publishing the stories in. How can I guarantee that any text I submit will stay free?
I guarantee that all texts in the library will be available for free for as long as the library is up.
