Well it's kinda true. Billy's first arrest was for stealing food when he was 16 (though, I can't say if it was for sure cheese or not, lol). A few months later some clothing and a gun which had been stolen from a Chinese owned laundry, were found in a room he had rented by the land lady and she turned him in. He was arrested for theft/possession of stolen property (although Billy is not the one who committed the robbery). But because there were no judges in town he had to wait 3 months in jail for a traveling judge to arrive in the territory, so he decided "eff that". And, because he was so thin (being a "kid"), he was able to squeeze through the cell bars and escape (he actually did this several times in different jails). And that's how the whole legend of Billy the Kid as an "outlaw" began.
Billy the Kid was from Brooklyn. He relocated out West with his mother who later died. So Billy became an orphan. He was an outstanding gunman, poured all his money into practicing how to shoot. There was a lot of business competition in cattle at the time and place he lived, and after a period of stealing cattle he became a hired gun for one rancher after being captured. This relationship was very important to him, the rancher became like a father to Billy. It was when the rancher was murdered by a competitor that Billy went on a killing spree of revenge, and that’s why he became known as this famous gunfighter who took down powerful men who exploited the poor.
You can tell where their money went. Gorgeous friggin' costumes and sets....and then that stuffed horse against the shack. Hundreds were spent on that horse alone.
IKR! Like, even if your accent sucks, and you can't roll your "r's," at least *try* to say it the right way. It's so grating to hear Carne Asada get turned into Car-Nay Ass-uh-duh
That’s actually a common misconception, the famous picture that made everyone think he was left-handed came out backwards because it wasn’t properly developed. Firearm experts say what gives it away that the picture was backwards is the loading gate on his Winchester rifle appears to be on the wrong side
Young Guns was my favorite western as a kid even loved Young Guns 2 and even loved the soundtrack and I hate Bon Jovi!!! also Adding Christian ( Dave Rhubarb) Slater was an awesome added bonus.
This is in the top five bits from this show for me. Absolutely hilarious all the way through, his storytelling and the depiction. So good. I wanna drink with this guy lol
From a town known as Wheeling West Virginia Rode a boy with a six-gun in his hand And his daring life of crime Made him a legend in his time East and West of the Rio Grande Well he started with a bank in Colorado In the pocket of his vest, a Colt he hid And his age and his size took the teller by surprise And word spread of Billy the Kid Well he never traveled heavy Yes, he always rode alone And he soon put other older guns to shame And he never had a sweetheart And he never had a home But the cowboy and the rancher knew his name
Anyone interested in Billy, I highly recommend Count Dankula's video here on RUclips, it's apart of his 'Mad Lad' series and he does a great job discussing the facts of Billy's life as an outlaw. His video is a great jumping off point if you're interested in learning more about Billy the Kid and what exactly he did in his lifetime.
Grew up in Silver City. Lots of Billy themed stuff. My favorite was the music store that had a picture of Billy holding an electric guitar as their logo.
They obtained locations, period costumes and weapons (around 1880s), Billy the Kid's costume is the replica of the famous photograph... Yes, the stuffed horse was for comedy purposes.
😂Lmao, this is legit one of my favorites especially because of the attempt at the song at the end and they really gonna do the slow montage over the song lol, I’m cryin lmao! 😂
Actually Pat Garret left a wake of dead innocent people trying to pass them off as Billy the Kid. Even when he allegedly got billy, he shot that body in the face with a shotgun and was unrecognizable. Hence the legends of Billy faking his death. The question is, did Pat help Billy fake his death, or did Billy keep getting away, driving Pat mad to the point where he is killing innocent people?
“as an adolescent... he stole cheese... and got arrested.” don’t know why but that makes me laugh so much.

they might've gotten him a little too drunk lmao
ikr? he's super adorable drunk though. most of them are.
Seems like they may have thrown in some pain killers or benzo's too lol!
@@_AlpineButterfly_ this is exactly like people act when they're very drunk and tired. He even started to play guitar unprompted.
Can confirm, my best friend is legit like this when drunk 😆
@@_AlpineButterfly_ I'm a young alcoholic and that's exactly the kind of person I become when drunk
I now know less about Billy than I did before I started watching

Some brutal scenes with the horse. Some real graphic content.
😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
😂😭
I've seen that horse in a porno
Did they shoot that horse literally just to use it as a door stopper?
@@alexanderthompson5713 that, and so he couldn’t use it to run
This was even better with captions on..."plays guitar poorly." Had me rolling.
"He could sing in a way that no one else could sing"

He could sing in a way that no one else could sing *ooh ooh* 😆😆😆😆 he’s just so cute
This guy is so soft spoken. Makes his story that much more hilarious!!
“Boom boom boom” “pew pew pew” man I died 😂😂😂
"Well you're an a*shole, boom boom boom" continues to play the piano
That killed me
Yea, that was the best! Pew pew pew. 😂

Such beautiful craftsmanship. I, for one, feel lucky to have seen it.
He didn’t have to sing that song but he did it, he did it for us ❤️
“Qweness?” 😂those latinas didn’t teach him how to pronounce “quien es?” 🤣🤣🤣
Lol. The narrator obviously didn't have any latinas to teach him.

No, but he apparently taught them

@@carson3838 yeah, but some are WASTED like this guy
Yeah they are my favorite. Honestly super lame when the person (usually a woman) is barely buzzed at all.
Supposedly, he was left-handed, and I notice the actor playing him shoots and eats with his left hand. Well-played.

Chain Reactions Film Productions The picture wasn’t improperly developed - it was a tintype, which creates a mirror image.
Thats a myth caused by how the picture of him showing his gun on his left side was reversed like a mirror image.
I think this is the most hilarious of them all. Salute to you billy the kid 😂😂😂😂
So we’re not taking about how fire the story tellers singing was 😂😂👍

This is my favorite one of all! The song at the end was awesome, great job.
He can’t handle the drinks, this is too funny 😁
