A have a nanny goat that had twin buckling. The nanny is black and the other goats are black, well one of the bucklings came out white the other black. She refused to nurse the white one. I secured her to let the kid nurse and she just went crazy, it was unreal.
The calf appears to be doing great. It’s a little heifer. I’ve been calling her “small fry” because we haven’t given her a name. Looks like momma is not taking to her. Only time she can nurse is when I put momma in the squeeze.

Animals can be so weird sometimes. With cows, they will usually accept a calf after two or three days of forcing them.
Great video. What tagger do you use.thanks
I’ve tried a few different tags, and the y Tex is my favorite so far. They are very supple and do not pull out of the ear very easily.
I saw someone cleaned the ear tags with iodine, what do you clean your tags with?
Rubbing alcohol, but mostly because it doesn’t make a mess.
Like you said in the other video. Odd for a Hereford to not accept a calf. They're normally great mothers. But once in a while you get that odd one.
Yea, I’ve had the opposite more often, where cows are stealing calves, or letting any calf nurse on them. This is very uncommon in my experience.
How is the calf doing? I hope momma will let him get on to her.

@@stringerbridgefarm3201 Oh. That is too bad. The little hefier will keep you busy.
Came to check your channel out. Chad (Doss Farms) seems to think you know what you are doing. I agree.
Thanks, I appreciate it.
