I know it’s weird but I think the grinch feet are too cute!!! It always breaks my heart when I trim my aussies grinch hairs. But the sophisticated paws are just too cute too 😭
I am sure many people out there are just as fearful as I am about hurting their babies! My baby is a rescue who rescued me!!! I ordered a pet nail grinder that came with the clippers. I used them but was only taking a little off at a time. There is a light that is on the grinder that aluminates the quick. I watched this video (thank you @apacksjourney) and felt much more confident! I was actually able to cut my babies nails and trim up her feet so she doesn’t have grinch feet anymore!! 🙌 Also she loves the brush! I didn’t want to hurt her so I did not know that, until after watching this video and I tried it! A huge thank you to APacksJourney! ❤ By the way your babies are beautiful! God Bless!
I have a mini auzzie as well, his cost though is extremely wavy and curly. He's only 4 years old and is still a toddler to me but I'm struggling with maintaining his behind area, he gets a lot of mats and clumps together
we just adopted a mini aussie a couple of weeks ago. my last dog was an Aussie lab mix, so it's a whole different grooming style. i have a shedding blade from a Norwegian Buhund we had previously, but it's super big on my lil 27# pup. that rake may be a less intimidating way to go. 🤔
Fun video, I did cringe at scissors taking the matts out from the bum, I use a big dematting comb…still sharp, but safer than accidental cutting of the dog. Thanks for the video!
Your dogs are all beautiful! Your mini is so cute. We are getting our mini in 4 weeks. We have had 2 standards and decided to go smaller. It should be so much easier to groom a 25 lb dog vs a 65. I like that you use a nail grinder. That is one thing that I want to try. Our other 2 girls were grinners and I hope our next girl will be as well. There is nothing like an Aussie smile.😀
Have my first 😍 mini she is red tri color with the heart of gold, 22 pounds, 6 years old. I’ve tried sitting using the bathroom floor for grooming or standing, but my back can’t take it. Did you build your own grooming “doohickey” table. Any advice?
Most Aussies love people, they are great family dogs giving they their needs are met. If you get a puppy they are very easy to introduce new things to. Also if your an active family they are a great breed for you!
Right now I’m using the holdog trimmers you can find it on Amazon it’s just a basic trimmer make removing that hair faster since some dogs don’t like their feet held for too long. Thank you so much! ☺️
He is adorable! My fav breed of dogs are mini american shepherd, (large) australian shepherd and border collies. I just love the colors, everything about them is just perfect. Of course I love all dogs but those breeds are my fav :) Can you please make more videos with Texas Arcana and Dallas? ^^✨
@@apacksjourney thank you! That makes sense, I was afraid I was doing something wrong. My mini is a rescue and was abused, so she’s still scared of strangers. I’ve been trying to pick up tips on how to groom her to keep her healthy.
Thank God My mini Aussie doesn't have that much fur, most if not all of his fur is pretty short, the longest hair would be the back neck area and the top part of his tail. He is very low maintenance.
About 3 years, he is a mini, I'm thinking he is mixed, but I don't know for sure. My mom rescued him from the street, I think he was thrown out because he had scabies/mange but she cured him believe it or not with used motor oil. He is a curious little dog and catches a lot of attention. Would you like to see some pictures of chirris? That's his name😁.
@@jaimemendoza4665 Yeah if hes three he has an adult coat. Long haired dogs are a lot of upkeep. Texas already needs this whole treatment again lol And sure i would love too!

I think it’s really cute too lol but the dirt they track in isn’t 😂😂😂😂

What clipper settings are you using for feet? You like that better than scissors for the bottoms?

What are their temperaments like? Do they like new people? Are they good for families that are always going around and new things?

Can you tell me which product you use to trim his paw pads please? I want to try it for our mini Aussie! Your pack is beautiful!

@@apacksjourney thank you! I'm going to give them a try!
Hey! How big is he? So cute!
Texas weighs about 24lbs his sister dallas is slightly bigger at 28lbs :)
@@apacksjourney Thank you for getting back! they're both so cute. My puppy is estimated to be around 12lbs so trying to get a feel of how big that is!
Yeah mine are larger than I wanted but I love them either way ☺️ congrats on your puppy 🐶 🧡
@@apacksjourney Aw thank you :) They'r both so cute either way! And still small!
I love your R+
What kind of scissors do you use?
I bought a set for dogs off Amazon. I think it was their best seller but just a sharp curved pair
I groom and clean teeth daily and do full body health check. Thank you.
If I only had that kind of time 😆 That’s why It’s weekly

Just because you asked we will! ♥️
@@apacksjourney thank you! 😁
This video is old, but why do you want the dog standing when you trim their nails?
You don’t have to have them standing but it is easier to see the nails when bending the paw back. :)
