haha nitrous to a V6 crossflow and getting it to stay together riiight. youd need to be runnin alcohol and some major internal upgrades. also makes no sense when you can get a 2.6 GT/XP wich is all done from factory as a race motor and will push a properly set up cvx16 in the low 70's and live on pump premium fuel.
sorry to be so off topic but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb lost my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Alfonso Vance I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
The engine looks like an old inline 6. I think the biggest they made was a 125 hp in the straight 6 line. When Mercury came out with the 150 hp, it was a V6, shorter and square cover. That’s not a 150 unless it was bored out.
They made a mercury 1500 (150) a 1150 (115) as well as a 1500xs all in the inline Six, down to 85hp I believe I've collected a hand full of 115s but would love to get my hands on a 140 or 150
@@ct1762 No it is not Identical, there were many changes between the crank rated 140 and prop rated 115, in the Induction System and Pistons, Exhaust Tuning was different too. Also the WOT range was different the 140 was 5300 - 5800, the 115 was 5000 - 5500 Now regarding the 1400/140. The was a 1400 in 1972, then the 1400 reappeared in 1978, but it was a totally different Block. In 79 - 81 it was called the 140. 1982 was the Yr that Mercury started Prop Rating the Inline 6s, V6s, and the 66 cubic inch 4 cylinder
Double A Ron hi Ron I have an 1986 but it’s rated at 120 hp on the tag how do you insurance company cover it also here in Ontario the police patrols water ways and It would be a problem worse if you have a serious accident
@@nickking1510 It's my understanding that Mercury started selling the 150 powerhead as a 115 in the early 80s when they started rating horsepower at the prop instead of the flywheel. so technically by today's standard it is a 115.
That Sound❤️
I had a Power of Tower 115 on my Fletcher Arrowflyte 14
I miss it☺️
I have a 1977 Glastron Carlson CVX 16 with the 175 Evinrude on it and it has nitrous It goes 70 miles an hour
Cody Verner I have the same boat and engine but no nitrous, I would love to see your setup. do you have EFI or carbs?
Cody Verner how do you not melt pistons ? I am very curious about your set up can you tell us about it in more detail?
I’m calling B.S. on this one! Nitrous? You added nitrous for the 70mph claim!

@Alfonso Vance It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thanks so much, you saved my account!
@Everett Leonel glad I could help xD
What prop are you running ?
Laser II 20p
I've got the exact same boat color and all mine came with an evinrude but am hanging the tower on it today!

It’s a 150 rated at the crank and that is how it was sold. They started rating at the prop later so technically it’s a 115, but the engine says 150.

@@brookesmilbourn3188 the 140 is identical to a 1985-up (thereabouts) 115

Merc made 135,140, and 150 inline 6 motors.
not a 150!
Why do you say that?
I have a 150 tower of power on my cvx16. Fun fun. This very well could be the same.

Those 150s back then were inline 6s they looked like the 115s they called them the tower of power! This is a 150!
