I just finished watching the show yesterday. But yes, it started great. My favourite probably is season 3. But after season 4 it got kinda weak in my opinion. That iceland stuff was also kinda lame
The show was so asinine and fake history, they even changed his mom from what the Norse records (Sagas) actually say. Lagetha was not his mother, it was the other wife of Ragnar who was killed by Lagetha when she shot her in the back with a bow and arrow (Auslog). The ending is putrid compared to the action filled first 4 - 5 seasons.
