Ive been a viewer since the original monohull in college. You all were the original inspiration for me to learn to sail. I am so grateful i found it. I never leave comments but the video spoke to me. Just want to say that I have noticed the improvement in videography and editing and things are truly amazing. I do not know of any movie, documentary, or anything that captures a story with the quality that you guys do. I am glad we overcame the mental challenges (as you do have a lot going on) but I just want to say that I hope you never stop making videos. They are beautiful. You guys are awesome and I hope to cross paths one day.
If I can say anything to help, just remember that you’re not just recording for us, you’re not just editing for us. You are actually documenting the lives of you and your family, just sharing it with us. Then it’s not so much a “job”, it’s a documentary of your children’s life. Love to guys!

I think you need to remember Elaina and Riley that we all started following you becaus of the raw unfiltered life. This video is great and so beautifully wholesome. It doesn’t always need days of editing. I’ve been following you for years and find this so relatable being a new dad also. Do what you can, it’s awesome if not better! We all have our moments and need to remind ourselves of what’s important but just a simple reminder. You’re both doing such an amazing job and are such great parents. Well done. I can't express enough just how CALM and peaceful the long videos are. They're so much better than short ones. As a mom of 4 I love seeing all the real life things especially with the kids ❤ The short videos don't feel finished I'm always like "that's it?" It feels so cut up (still enjoy them!) But the long ones really let people connect with your family because we get to see all the things not just the highlights. Highlights aren't real life ya know?
Elayna on vacay = Climbing mountains in torrential rain, freediving on coral reefs, sailing to dive with whalesharks, flying around the world to sail on other vessels, designing swimwear for her company, filming & editing videos etc .. oh and caring for her two boys & hubby. Guys, I love these videos so much. I started it then stopped, waited a few days and then finished the whole video. I completely understand why you want to slow it down. I do actually prefer this kind of video and, if many of your audience also do too, the algorithm should be able to pick that up. I hope it does because it will allow you to make less videos but focus more, be more relaxed and do a long format of inspirational videos. I got a really good sense of the life and pace you are having, the living experience on a boat, the cranks and knacks of operating a vessel and the place you guys are at. I'm living Indonesia through you, a place I have been wanting to visit for years and these videos are giving me the best experience from afar, better than reading any blog (you and Jits into the Sunset, I wish you meet them!) but it has inspired me to start picking up that dream again and make it in 2024 for a long trip that I crave so much. One of those retreats, after loosing my dad 6 months ago, would be really healing. So Im eager to see the rest!
My next step is to find a sailing school there. Do you guys think Indonesia (specifically Bali/Lombok) would be a good ground to start learning?

I got to tell you, when I first started watching this channel I really didn’t expect much from Reilly. He seemed kind of quiet and to himself. As I continue to watch, I catch the little pockets of him speaking about his knowledge on life and his outlook. I learn so much. I love the segments when Riley talks about somebody he’s been listening to on an audiobook or something he’s been learning, it’s really easy to digest. I really learn a lot. Thank you.

I love the long format slower videos. It is so authentic and I really zone out with you. It is so relaxing. It's my go too for winding down. Last year I was put on dialysis and I used to find your long format videos and it really took me away for awhile when I was on the machine. More singing please. Love your cover on Jermaine Stewart. The video is pretty good but not as good as watching and listening to your take on it. Again you look wonderfully relaxed and happy.

You guys have grown so much since the first videos that Elayna started making, which came at a very formative time in my life. Your relationship and the beautiful family you two have created began alongside when I met my wife. We both bonded over watching your early videos and I can say confidently that you guys have played an integral part in mine, and now my family's lives. Your openness about mental health has been especially refreshing and HELPFUL. As my wife is struggling with severe anxiety/depression, it's important to have an honest representation of the battles we face within our minds. Seeing you guys wake up each day and put one foot in front of the other gives hope to those who still need to take that first step. Thanks for everything you've done for us viewers, but more importantly yourselves.

Something else I can relate to about your experience is that I'm a musician as well, and it can be hard for me to except praise and compliments. Anytime someone compliments me on my work I get imposter syndrome and get all awkward. If you're in a similar boat (haha pun), I urge you to not let that get in the way of expressing yourself. You really do have a gift, and you 100% deserve all the praise you've been getting.
Elayna singing and guitar is magical I would love love to see and hear more of it. You are very talented Elayna. You guys are awesome I love this. Please do what you guys need to do for your health and mind what you are doing is not easy and I thank you for having the courage to put your lives out here. Take care from Canada.
I think it just shows the reality of living and better to show the hard times. It took me until today to watch last weeks and it was hard to watch but loved the ending. I struggle with mental health often and it’s good to see that we are not alone. Also good on you to take a break.
I do prefer these longer videos. And I had been wondering why elayna hasn’t been singing. Will be good for you guys to slow down and enjoy the life you have created

Your kids are adorable + I love watching their progress. Darwin is so damn cute when he tries to copy your words + everything that Lenny does. Elayna, your voice is incredible + I would love to hear more. I've been watching your videos since you started them many years ago + look forward to them every week. I'm so envious of your beautiful lifestyle but at least I get to enjoy a little of it when you share your adventures, especially the village visits and the free diving which I could never do. An absolutely beautiful video. Slow paced family time, sailing and singing. Also I’m soo enjoying the boys, it’s incredible watching them grow up sailing and exploring the world and seeing the world and adventures through their eyes.
