When I saw the ABB back in 2004, he had on a shirt while checking out Warren's gear before the Allman Brother's set that said "I'm not him!" LOL!
Hilarious
I read the news today on facebook. I immediately remembered this video, even though I haven't seen it in years. Rest In Peace, Mr Farmer.
farmer was the only tech I knew that got cheers from the crowd, not just a few, but the whole crowd. miss you buddy!
they thought he was warren broskii
They thought it was warren ,my god i had to look twice
Warren Haynes says: "If you work for me, you must look like me." :)
It is pretty funny....I thought it was him for a split second at first - even sounds a bit like him
Everybody needs a stunt double...
I know, I was like, "wait, that's not Warren... Is it? Oh, cool, it's not."
First thing that came to my mind as well.
i think they even share the same birthday
This is my first time seeing this. So sorry to hear of his passing. The dream guitar technician. Thanks for helping Warren achieve those beautiful tones.
Old interview, but this young lady lets the fellow speak. Well done, thanks.
She's just eye candy m8.
Because she has no idea what to ask
RIP Brian Farmer. He was a really good friend of my guitar instructor.
SlapMyBass3825 ....where was farmer from ? I remember a guy played in a band back in the 90's. His name was Brian farmer.
@@whatyoumakeofit6635 Brian was from Tennessee
yea my uncle bought an avocado from a market owned by a Greek Orthodox scuba instructor who's best friend once waited on Farmer. Were all heartbroken as well.
It's seems like I watched a hundred of these rig rundown videos and Brain seems to be one of the coolest, unpretentious, and knowledgeable guitars tech I've seen, what a bummer to find out he passed away last month. I can't even image how Warren goes about replacing someone like Brian.
Snake Plissken
He was the coolest! I was at a mule show and Jackie Greene was opening up for them. Farmer was walking through the crowd. My buddy asked if he'd come take a pic with me. He said sure man! After getting my picture with him he sat down beside me and hung out during the song Jackie was playing. He was talking about how badass the guitar Jackie was playing is. He also gave a few guitar picks. He was so down to earth and friendly! It's heartbreaking that he's gone. Such a character!
@@c6quad3 that's sad, I didn't know he passed away, sounds like another good guy gone
You simply can't replace him. Godspeed Brother.
RIP Brian Farmer... an awesome guy, with a great sense of humor. The world is not the same without you.
For some reason I feel like the entire guitar/music(Ian) world got jipped when we lost Brian Farmer! RIP Brian! I’m sure you’re up there in heaven helping the ABB roadies, and teching for Duane or any of the other greats up there!!
I just stopped here to say, "Miss you Brian." Solid dude. real dude.
Man, that guy really knows his stuff.
*knew
He was Johnny Cash's tech before Warren Haynes.
That's his job
no he doesn't he doesnt even know that a Shure SM-56 doesn't exists he meant 57 many other basic mistakes he made. Bit of a moron really.
@@AlienSexGod Farmer *was* one of the most respected and knowledgeable techs in the biz. Do a google search on the SM-56 and then let us know who the "real" moron is. Here's a hint: It's you. And while you're at it, GFY.
This is an AWESOME rig rundown...Warren has been one of my favorite players for a long time.
I met Brian Farmer many times at Mule shows. One hell of a guy. He actually remembered me, I was really surprised! RIP!
I had the pleasure of opening for Govt Mule once, got to meet all of them, and got to meet Brian, super nice guy.
Am I the only one that thinks Farmer looked just like Warren? RIP Farmer
Trevin Simmons
We used to call him lil' Warren.
he used to wear a shirt that says "I'm not him"
Yes. Not all white people look alike.
No your not the only one. Obviously
Wowie, zowie!! Rebecca is a doll!! This was a great video! She let Farmer just do his thing and it was very informative and entertaining. What a fount of knowledge he was, indeed! He was hands down the most beloved “roadie” ever. R.I.P., Brian Farmer. You are missed.
Wow, what an interview. And so sad to hear he has passed.
But he was someone that kept Warren playing, so he was an ABB/GM VIP.
Great video. Met Farmer at a Mule show in Chicago. Gave me a set of Warren’s strings. RIP Farmer.
Straight up one of the most informative videos about guitar tech on youtube
R.I.P. Brian Farmer. One of the best guitar techs you could ever dream of....period.. and one of the most kindest guys towards fans.
What a collection of beautiful guitars, wow.
RIP Brian Farmer ! You're missed !
Thank You for this video..always wondered what mics Warren used on his guitar cabinets
" this one goes to twelve!" with Nigel Tufnel's voice XD
Rebecca is a good interviewer. Asks the right questions and doesn't interrupt. Jason is good too.
Love the category 5 amps instead of monitors.
And he knows that rig inside and out!
One of the reasons I enjoy WH's playing is the Leslie in his road set up. I missed the section with that aspect? Did not pick up how the Leslie grabs signal in this road setup? BUT to learn about a 12 string Les Paul??? Way cool.
This was an excellent interview. Warren Haynes has incredible tone by the way.
Nice to see another Gordie Johnson SG. I've got one of those. I read there's only 50 that were made.
Best rig setup I have ever seen!
Wow. Warren was still using this same pedal/effects setup basically on the later "rig rundown" that Brian Wampler did a couple of years ago.
And Rebecca is/was gorgeous. Wow!
Brian seemed like a hell of a great guy. As highly as I read and hear him being spoken of, that's the only conclusion you can come to. He's dearly missed by many. The man definitely left his own incredible legacy, to be loved and revered, and missed as much as he is.
Warren is the man, and Farmer is one of the best techs in the business! I've seen Warren a bunch of times with the Mule and the ABB, and his tone is always excellent. Very nice rundown!
RIP Brian!
That's the way a rundown goes!
R.i.P. BF... One cool guy!
Great interview! Good insight on the details.
What a great interview! Nice job.
Just saw GM last weekend in Reno, on 2 good GelTabs! What a show!!!!!!!
RIP brother. He was so chill with me when I got to kick it backstage with guvmule.
How did he die?
For the drum delay sounds on live Dark Side of the Mule shows (like on “Time” and “Shine on You Crazy Diamond”), anyone know if Warren is using a real Binson Echorec? Or getting the delay from a pedal (like a Boonar or Catalinbread Echorec). Love that delay sound - I can’t find any information on it anywhere. Thanks!
I’ve watched this rig rundown a few times now. The only complaint I have is that we didn’t see the Firebirds.
Thank you Brian!!!🎸🎶🎵🤘
I think he was Warren...
warren think he was i
Ren C. Farmer has passed on to the mule in the sky. Farmer kept Warren together
This guys's awesome. If I was ever in a position to need a tech, I'd want someone like him. Mellow, funny and knows his stuff.
I still think that 12 string Les Paul is one of the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen
Yes it is. Never have I seen or heard of one before. Makes me ask myself; Where have I been?
RIP Farmer! you will be missed!
Where do I get a multiple guitar case like that?
Who's not watching this for the first time?!.........(guilty)
How do you start knowing what you need for sound. I just pick up and play this stuff can be tricky. For me anyway.
That was AWESOME!!!!
@basjar2 Yes, the capacitance of the cable essentially does the same as the Tone control of a guitar which is reduce high frequencies. A Tone control is a capacitor controlled with a pot (variable resistor).
The need to do a rig rundown update on Warren's rig.
Hey Brian -- former Atlanta Band Roadie many moons ago,,,great dude.
in 2012 I was 9 years old I went to a brothers show (my first show) and said dad look it warren rip Bryan
I have a 1980 Marshall 4x12 slant with 65 celestions as well ,they only made those two years acording to the Marshall book
RIP Mr. Farmer!!
Love you Farmer! RIP brother
Rebecca Dirks is the Best!
Easier on the eye than John bollinger
I saw her first
mathew davies : and ear.
Still is!
Rest in Peace, Brian! ❤️❤️❤️
R.I.P Farmer
R.I.P. Brian Farmer.
Yeah, I remember being more than a few rows from the stage one time wondering what the heck Warren was doing setting up his own gear before the show? Wherever Warren goes, Brian goes...
but what strings does he use? I didn't catch that
I was at this show! It started raining towards the end and it looked like Warren was summoning down the rain with his guitar, as his hair flew picturesquely behind his head.
always love the awkward goodbye/sign-offs
what a nice guy
That rig is amazing
who picture is that at 2:25?? little milton?
Well-run ship 🚢
Well-balanced sound. Thank you for sharing! It's "all Greek to me!" Mr. Haynes is a Master w/a Waawaa! {I'm still a novice, blowing smoke!} Much Love; cast, crew & fans! Happy New Year!
No doubt awesome rundown straight forward detailed kicked a**
I like how Brian talked and explained things to Rebekah, didn’t talk down or be snooty to her. He’s from Tennessee, most people from Tennessee and Kentucky are pretty nice people!
that 12-string LP is AWSOME
I also recently got to have a short sit down with Warren Haynes out at his bus after a show ..His crew him everyone involved where simple type folks what i like to call long haired gentlemen farmers...
RIP Mr. Farmer. You’re missed by many.
First time I saw Warren live in concert I remember seeing Farmer walk out on stage and I laughed my ass off because I knew that HAD TO BE Warrens guitar tech!!!! It looks like his brother.
Farmer! Miss you man!
I miss Farmer! What a great guy he was!
Where can I buy one of those giant guitar cabinents?
I thought he was WH at first glance and I thought he referred to himself in 3rd person.
"It depends what amp Warren wants..."
lol indeed
RIP Farmer! What a nice guy
Quem dera se no Brasil existissem músicos desse gabarito
Good lord. That's an amazing set up.
John The Cat *john the cat*
just had to say it
Whats a Pre-Amp switch?
Cool rundown, nice to see his setup, though I still think his "leslie" sounds were better when he was using the Korg G4 in the trio days.
wow!! he's got everything memorized, from connections down to the strings.. Amazing! and don't f@#k with the farmer! LOL
at 8.46... that lp is the most beautiful in the world
Nice!
Great man warren
Very interesting setup with each musician having an actual guitar amp as a monitor for what Warren is playing. With all of these rig rundowns it's like guitars/amps/effects blah blah blah, then there's a quirky little detail that gets my attention like the amp/monitors here and others where there's no cabs onstage; amps are running through iso-cabs... stuff like that.
What a great guitar player he’s one of the few in the world besides Derek trucks they can emulate Dwayne like he should be
Farmer was the best! How many guitar techs have a following?? He was a great man ✌🏼️
any bass rig rundowns?
there's a few i've seen which are also feautred in band rundowns
e.g : Dream Theater - John Myung
RIP Farmer.
nice video !
@mattlocked I feel you
Rip Brian
RIP Farmer :(
Rebecca is awesome for rig run down
So much stuff geez remember the day's when just the amplifier maybe a pedal or 2 now it's the kichen sink and yes the man looks like Warren twin son's from different mother's
Seems like a cool guy. I would have loved to have had a beer or two with him and talk guitars
Love Rebecca!
