- Community engagement is at the heart of IFAW's approach to conservation. We work with local people, including traditional leaders, in Kenya to help protect elephants and other endangered species. We work to help these communities become more resilient to drought and climate change and protect animals from poaching and human-wildlife conflict. Over the past 25 years, drought in Kenya's Amboseli National Park has increasingly worsened. But through ranger employment, community projects, and scholarships, IFAW is working to help people and animals. Video: IFAW / Atlas 1 Studios
