This is why I still preserve my 2013 model Yamaha FZ-16 (BS3) Full Black carburettor model. It has that refinement and required power for my purpose, and it is easy to maintain due to minimal electronics as well. It still rides on its buttersmooth engine and I use to service it at expert Yamaha technicians in outside workshops. It serves the purpose of a stylish bike as well as a daily commuter that might roar some power in highways in a way it could deliver within 149cc powerband. Modern bikes, I too feel this sedate kind of performance, not the satisfaction that we used to have before in BS2 and BS3 vehicles.

First gen FZ, Gixxer, unicorn, Karizma R, pulsar 220, Apache rtr180 and even the cbz series had its own charm.....will never get back to those days ❤️

I had my first bike in 2012 a pulsar 220 and still has it. I enjoyed riding extremely and has clocked over 1.5 lk kms on it. Recently i had to move from my hometown and since then i tried different modern bikes in the market of my frnds for commuting and some weeknd getaways but I don't get that same riding Kick in older gen bikes. Even i tried new gen 220 and its a whole different bike, feels like everything is more saturated and doesn't hav mid rpm punch. Yes some new gen bikes has more power but its limited.

This is why I still preserve my 2013 model Yamaha FZ-16 (BS3) Full Black carburettor model. It has that refinement and required power for my purpose, and it is easy to maintain due to minimal electronics as well. It still rides on its buttersmooth engine and I use to service it at expert Yamaha technicians in outside workshops. It serves the purpose of a stylish bike as well as a daily commuter that might roar some power in highways in a way it could deliver within 149cc powerband. Modern bikes, I too feel this sedate kind of performance, not the satisfaction that we used to have before in BS2 and BS3 vehicles.

I had my first bike in 2012 a pulsar 220 and still has it. I enjoyed riding extremely and has clocked over 1.5 lk kms on it. Recently i had to move from my hometown and since then i tried different modern bikes in the market of my frnds for commuting and some weeknd getaways but I don't get that same riding Kick in older gen bikes. Even i tried new gen 220 and its a whole different bike, feels like everything is more saturated and doesn't hav mid rpm punch. Yes some new gen bikes has more power but its limited.

Ila bro, I think RTR and all are not that slow, we have R15 also, I think new riders need to be educated about the hassles on the road, it's always btr to start from 150cc or 200cc and definitely not from a bike more than 250 cc.around 15bhp is fine. I do believe educating the new riders is key.
