This is perfect for a warm day! I would say Mexican food too 👍 going to have to try this ! I use that sieve or I call it a strainer for washing my rice to in it. Game changer! Haha I hope your burn is feeling better!
Oh, I’m so glad they told me in the last segment about tasting. I would’ve never known how to taste lemonade if they hadn’t given me the instructions so confusing.
Thank you! I tried making it a few times before but came out bitter or not right. Your instructions were perfect and it tasted perfect on my first try!
It can be made with the lime peel, but It makes It bitter and will be spoiled in the next day because of the bitterness. In Brazil northeast we usually squeeze the lime with a lime squeezer, add water and sugar only So the limonade can last for 2 days on the fridge. There is recipes with condensed milk, but you can just do as i said above adding water and sugar. I never tryied the condensed milk version so i dont know If helps to keep the flavor on the other day.
Well done for telling people a bit of language background. Yes, we use the word (limão = lemon) for both lemons and limes. Limes are cheaper and more common in Brazil so it's the default. It's also in our national cocktail caipirinha. When you are a kid in Brazil and your mom asks you to go get some lemons, she means limes. If she wants the yellow lemons she will specify and call it Sicilian lemons.
love the bitterness from the peels. lemonade often uses a lot of sugar to cope with extra acidity the bitter peel makes a better job at that and it's quite good
I had a lot of limes and lemons so I used my juicer to make Brazilian lemonade. I cut off the peel before juicing to avoid the bitterness. You’re right, it’s a switch up from the typical lemonade. 😊
I just followed your recipe and oh my gawd this is the shi#. Refreshing is an understatement and it would go well with rum or anything else your heart desires, this recipe is going in The Book
Thanks for the heads up these things you really start out “when I was a child. I started a lemonade stand.” I think they like to hear themselves talking feel like some kind of movie stars celebrity or something.
This was tasty! I added 2 more tablespoons of condense milk to make it a little smoother in the mouth and leave less of the dry sour after-feel from acidic drinks/food like that
The sieve is like she used...it's like a SCREEN with _V E R Y_ fine holes. You don't want any of the extra "stuff" in your drink...you'll want it as smooth as possible, and you keep out the bitter peel pieces. OH...blend that FULLY for about 2 full minutes, NOT like she showed in the video ;)
You made it so perfectly done and well explained. Yes, don’t blend it too much. I was so happy to see that haha. Little type for the future, you may also want to remove the white bits in the middle (that white line) it helps with the bitterness. You can also just use the condensed milk instead of mixing sugar but that’s completely optional. It goes really good with alcohol too. 😋
Actually, PULVERIZE the lemons or limes for 2 full minutes! Only use the condensed milk, & cut that "white piece" from the center 1st, yes 4-5 lemons...24-28oz of ice cold water...1 can of condensed milk
If you can't purchase it where you live, you can always stir 2 cups of whole milk with 3/4 cup granulated sugar over low heat until the sugar dissolves, the increase the heat to medium-low heat and cook without stirring for 35-40 minutes until the milk darkens to a creamy color, thickens slightly, and is reduced by about half. Let it cool completely in a jar in the fridge for 4-6 hours (it will thicken a lot) and you've got sweetened condensed milk!
I cut off the white filament down the center of the limes so it’s not bitter drink. Brazilian lemonade is such a refreshing beverage . Except we don’t use sugar, the sweetened condensed milk makes it sweet enough. Try not using sugar cause there’s so much sugar in everything. No wonder Americans are diabetic. If it’s not sweet enough for you try Erythritol. But remember less is best ! If you like it frothy add the condensed milk in the blender with limes, ice , water. We serve the Brazilian Lemonade w/ Ceviche and fresh chips !
Well now you just screwed it up for the rest of the people here. Well, we will just erase your happy face today for that attitude and no gold star for cheerful attitude and participation today. Now, you just sit and think about your attitude while I write this note to your mother for her to sign and you bring back tomorrow for sassing your kindergarten lemonade class teacher!!!
It really won't turn out at all the same using lemon juice or just lime juice. But that said, it would still be a delicious drink with just a slightly different taste.
Using small pieces allows the limes, OR lemons to blend much easier/quicker. Allow me to offer a tip/suggestion... I just made this using a recipe from another site where the channel owner is Portugese I believe(?). His way of making it might be a bit more authentic than this one... *1* TOTALLY pulse the lemons or limes (I used lemons...2 large ones & 2 Meyer lemons) in your blender for 2 full minutes along with 27 oz of good cold water! Cutting the lemons/limes into wedges (6 per) makes it easier to blend. DO cut out the center "white piece" of the lemons, AND a small portion from each end like she did in this video. *#2...* Pour that through a fine sieve into a secondary bowl & discard the "mush" you end up with. *3...* Add the mixture BACK into your blender along with an entire can of the condensed milk & blend for up to 1 minute. I think the longer you blend it, the frothier & creamier it will become. You can ALSO add a bit of the crushed ice before you stop blending, as the small bits of ice is nice. A/way, with the recipe you WON'T use sugar, and you'll pulverize all the lemons or limes as opposed to what she shows in this video. The drink is in no way too sweet, & if you like it a bit more tart, use an additional lemon/lime, or I guess you could not use the entire can of condensed milk. You can taste test it & always add that extra lemon or the entire can of condensed milk, but yeah...a *_GREAT_* recipe!!! He cuts out that center "white portion" of the lemons by the way. Here's his video, but seriously, the SIMPLE few steps I noted above is what you'll find~~~:) Enjoy~ *=====>* ruclips.net/video/VWsEhJSYD7I/видео.html
I mean if the point is to just get the juice of the lime why not just zest then juice the limes and add the zest after? You wouldnt have to worry about the bitterness at all at that point. Just saying maybe this is how it was first derived but we have the technology to make it better. Carry on.
Love it, nice work. You should make your website have zero ads. I haven’t found one recipe site that doesn’t inundate me with so many ads that it’s hard to find the actual recipe lol. They all are terribly frustrating to navigate. Like just remove all those banners and ads, and I guarantee your website would garner a big increase.
Clear, simple steps. This is a great approach for some people who might not be that confident in their cooking skills. It's easy to follow, with no technical jargon. Anything that helps beginner cooks get some confidence is good.
Very interesting, I've never ever drunk a lemonade like that in Brazil, not even with sugar but the country is so big that it will probably have many different forms of "lemonade".
TOTALLY blend 4 lemons along with 24-27 oz of ice cold water for 2 minutes till they're MUSH. Strain the mixture in a sieve & discard the mush. Add that BACK to your blender, & add a full can of condensed milk. It's nowhere NEAR bitter, & I would consider adding a FIFTH lemon, _ORRR_ using less milk ;)
Not as the "I" in the word alive, but as lives as in he "lives" down the street with a short I .....put an S instead of an L. Sive with a short "I ".. He lives down the street.. You sieve the Brazilian lemonade. Help? English is weird at times!
I just watched s/one who is Portugese make it on his channel (nothing but cooking/baking), and he calls is "Swiss Lemonade". I would think it's pretty authentic(?)...he used NO sugar, but the entire can of condensed milk. TOTALLY AWESOME!
This is perfect for a warm day! I would say Mexican food too 👍 going to have to try this ! I use that sieve or I call it a strainer for washing my rice to in it. Game changer! Haha I hope your burn is feeling better!
For sure this will go great with Mexican food! Perfect for Cinco de Mayo!
Oh, I’m so glad they told me in the last segment about tasting. I would’ve never known how to taste lemonade if they hadn’t given me the instructions so confusing.
Here in Brazil, this “Brazillian Lemonade” is known “Switzerland Lemonade” haha I love lemonade ❤️
I have heard that name as an alternative - is it because of the packaging on the sweetened condensed milk brand down there or something like that?
@@HouseofNashEats Yessss ❤️
I love Brazilian lemonade! I found it at a Brazilian restaurant in Boise, Idaho
Yes, I think I first had it at Tucanos years and years ago!
Limeade
I plan on making this soon! I’ve had it at Fogo de Chão and it’s delicious.
Thank you! I tried making it a few times before but came out bitter or not right. Your instructions were perfect and it tasted perfect on my first try!
Why is this channel so underrated?
Does it really need extra sugar? Condensed milk is do sweet already.
I think she’s awesome! She did a great job..
شكرا لك، من الاردن🌸
Thank you so much fromJordan
Just tried it 😮😍

Thank you so much!
love the bitterness from the peels.

the bitter peel makes a better job at that and it's quite good
i make brazilian lemonade with lemon it so good
Turned out great! I appreciate it! Except i went straight sweetened and cndensed milk, and i was super creamy. 👌
I love putting the condensed milk in the blender with the limeade to make it frothy!😋
Try it with vanilla
I had a lot of limes and lemons so I used my juicer to make Brazilian lemonade. I cut off the peel before juicing to avoid the bitterness. You’re right, it’s a switch up from the typical lemonade. 😊
I want to serve it with Keylime pie. I wonder if that would be too much to pair.
Yeah I’d like to know the answer to that as well
I just followed your recipe and oh my gawd this is the shi#. Refreshing is an understatement and it would go well with rum or anything else your heart desires, this recipe is going in The Book
Glad you liked it!!
Hell yeah, I was thinking of trying this with some Malibu 😋
Yummmm😊
Do you know what is so hilarious about this? It is that in Brazil, we call this beverage " limonada suíça". That is : Swiss Lemonade !😂😂😂😂❤❤❤🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
people will die of boredom before they reach the end of the video
Thanks for the heads up these things you really start out “when I was a child. I started a lemonade stand.” I think they like to hear themselves talking feel like some kind of movie stars celebrity or something.
Can you use lemons?
This was tasty! I added 2 more tablespoons of condense milk to make it a little smoother in the mouth and leave less of the dry sour after-feel from acidic drinks/food like that
Got to try this now! Thanks for the video.
Can you make this ahead of time or does it get too bitter as it sits?
Hi!! What is the difference between shieve and strainer? ❤ tks

I don't have a strainer could I just cut off the peel?
Came from tiktok hehe
Good job! You can also definitely include or garnish w/coconut shavings as well. 😊👍🏾🇧🇷
Thank you very much for the good presentation.... How can we replace the concentrated milk, if there is none? Thank you very much

When do we add the vodka?

Can we make these lemonade with lemon 🍋 ?
How long can you store in the fridge? Could you make it the night before and serve the next day?
no it gets very bitter in the fridge
It takes only MINUTES to prepare so there's no reason you'd need to do so.
@@Henriroc have you found a way to really reduce the bitterness?
You don’t need to add sugar,
The condensed milk should have more than enough
You might be a good kindergarten teacher, but I bailed about one minute in

Hi there Can I use lemon/lime juice instead?
It really won't turn out at all the same using lemon juice or just lime juice. But that said, it would still be a delicious drink with just a slightly different taste.
Do Persian limes work for this or does it have to be key lime?
Persian limes work great!
is there any way to make it to where you can lose weight with it?
Everything in moderation!
But if your using the hole lime can't you just drop the hole lime in first then hit it and cut them with the blender?
Using small pieces allows the limes, OR lemons to blend much easier/quicker. Allow me to offer a tip/suggestion...

The ads make her money so there will be a lot.
Same. Same
Yum😋
That is new. I don't know who invented this name. I'm brazilian and I have never heard about this drink being brazilian.
Its actually called Swiss limade
How do you make lemonade with limes and call is lemonade. I’m confused 🫤
I’m from Rio de Janeiro and I’ve never seen this before, the real lemoned don’t need to put the condensed milk inside ! It’s unhealthy
It seems like a couple countries call it Lemonade but use limes
It feels as if she’s teaching 5 year olds this recipe 😂😂😂😂😂
Lol. It's pretty much that easy.
Well, who knows... Maybe she is. Maybe 5 year olds want to learn it too :)
I did not get that impression
I like it makes me feel little 😌 in a good way

Great video!
I'd turn of captioning though, it blocked the lower third of your screen.
Also in Portuguese lime is lima and lemon is limão.
Nope
I didn’t think you put sugar in it
I dont think we neee to add sugar. Condenswd milk has a lot of sugar already
You could probably turn this into some bomb ice cream if you add cucumber!
This clip was too long. I didn’t finish it and found another video. That was 90sec and told me everything I needed to know.
👍👍👍👍👍
Wow man!!! Thank fuck it only had 4 ingredients or we would of been here for hours 😅
Very interesting, I've never ever drunk a lemonade like that in Brazil, not even with sugar but the country is so big that it will probably have many different forms of "lemonade".
i made this and it was a bit milky. still good but maybe i put too much in
The amount of sugar is insane 😳Next time I’ll cut down on the sugar.
I dont know what you were talking it wasnt that good. we added too much condensed milk it made me tirsty and sad
He was given a job at the bank its so unfair
This is the most northern mid west thing I've seen all day
Guys sorry......how much is 1 cup of water? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
She be looking like the most cliché housewife ever 😂
This turns bitter after a while. 😫
Yes, it doesn't store for more than a day.
Recipe for cancer
Can you put alcohol in with this? Maybe gin would be good with it?
Brazilians don't make lemonade like that. False! Where did you get that from?
It's nasty I tried making it at home. The lime skin gives it a bitter taste that does not go away even with the condense milk. Had to throw it out.

Brazilian lemonade doesn't have condensed milk!
I just watched s/one who is Portugese make it on his channel (nothing but cooking/baking), and he calls is "Swiss Lemonade". I would think it's pretty authentic(?)...he used NO sugar, but the entire can of condensed milk. TOTALLY AWESOME!
Lemonade in Brazil is just the same as made everywhere. This is an invention..
