I'm excited to try this. Thank you for posting :)
Let me know what you think when you do!
How did it go?
Gawd I used to love these when I was a kid.
Thanks for posting this. My grandpa was really excited for me to make this. He hasn't had it in a very long time
how was it?
Yeah we always got orange/strawberry julius at the mall as kids
You threw me off by getting right into the recipe! Lol. Very excited to try this.
I tried this recipe its really good thanks sharing! I love how you showed us step by step and gave exact ingredients!♡☆♡☆
Glad you liked it!!
You forgot to add carnation malt power 1 tbsp spoon. Then you have original flavor. Along with, pineapple, and or strawberry
I love Orange Julius! When I was little, my Mom and Dad used to treat my sisters and I these at the local mall.
Such great memories. 😊💖👍
With egg MGer
I was trying to make one and my mom told me the same thing lol
Love Orange Julius ! Strawberry, kiwi, mango, would be great too!
Powdered sugar, brilliant
Great
I worked at an Orange Julius when I was a teen, they also put egg whites in them to give them more froth, at least the one I worked at did
❤it always seemed like to me there was a real fine powder-like real-fine coconut shreds...was there something in it like that? ❤praise the Lord Jesus ❤
Where's the raw egg
You forgot Vodka
She's not an alcoholic
A little cointreau maybe too
The vodka drink is called Orange Julielush
Or Rum
What a sociopath!!
You don’t mess with the integrity of Orange Julius. Ever.
Society, at least those that know Orange Julius, doesn’t tolerate that.
Half and half, simple syrup.
I made this once in foods class and fell deep in love
You are super pleasant. keep making videos. SUper well done. Dont get discouraged.
i wouldve added some cool whip
Great recipe thank you👍
Thank you so much, such a memory for me
Total nostalgia in a glass for me too.

Christown Mall here in Az had the best Orange Julius Shop, Stools for seating and a slice of Pizza De' Amor ❤️
Thank you so much this helps me tonight while making it
GREAT VIDEO!
Absolutely loving these videos!
Excellent show
Powdered egg whites makes it fluffy
Gracias bebé hermosa! Rubiecita linda! 😊🤗
Very well made videos! Best of luck to your channel. Really great recipes.
Beautiful
I randomly thought of how my dad use to call orange juice this & never new it was a real thing.
I could tell this girl is Mormon from the first 30 seconds with the Utah/mormon accent. Im from Utah too and a unbeleiving jack çultural mormon. Was craving orange julius and this is the recipe i remember except i like twice as much sugar.
Lol, it's a Nebraska accent, actually. But I did go to BYU for school.
@houseofnashtravels Nice.. I'm a huge BYU sports fan. Football and basketball especially. I'll be sure to check out more of your recipes.
Nice video , what kind of blender are you using?
Vidimax???
Thanks!
You need egg whites, I grew up in SoCal and eggs whites are s must.
Orange, orange pineapple, strawberry and strawberry banana
Sugar-free??
I’ve tried sugar-free powdered orange drink mix. It’s definitely not as good but passable.
Pro tip: The cup of water doesn't do anything but water this drink down.
Replace the cup of water with an additional half cup of milk and double the sugar.
House of nash eats
It is not the original recipe..the original had raw egg...and it does make a difference.
Recipe
Me!!!
2:39 Florida: I take offense to that
That's not an orange Julius, it's just not. The real ingredients, are simple syrup, powdered vanilla or liquid, merengue powder, powdered milk, fresh squeezed OJ or concentrate, pre blended ice. You use more of the simple syrup than you'd think, meaning this isn't a health drink it's a sugar drink. And it's the powdered milk and the merengue or "secret ingredient" that gives it the frothy characteristic. You may get froth from real milk, but not the kind you get in an authentic Orange Julius. Those two items are the key, without them you have a nice orange drink. The drink in this video although lovely, will not taste like the real thing. What I just posted is the real thing, indistinguishable from the one they used to make. You don't need much merengue or powdered milk btw. That is the way to make a real authentic Julius. I found the recipe online from a woman that worked at one for several years, and when you taste it the memory will come flooding back, it's a unique taste. My sister once said she thought it tasted a bit like the old orange children's aspirin, and there's something to that, it's not overt, but it's there. Anyway, to Nash, try this and see what you think.
"Simple Syrup" is just Sugar & Water 1:1 ratio, ie: 1 cup water to 1 cup Sugar. The 50's & 60's version used Malted Milk Powder and Raw Eggs. The "Formula" has been bought and sold numerous times through the years and has been modified dozens of times by whoever owns it to make it work for their Business Plan. My friends Mom worked at OJ in the late 50's , she squeezed the Oranges, added the Malt Powder, Milk Powder, Sugar, Vanilla and an Egg, you could also request additional eggs for 10 cents each.
I agree the old Orange Julius was more like an orange frothy shake. Had one a few years back. It was now basically a smoothie. Not the same
@@rickbachman7464 I think it now comes as a powder in an envelope... like Kool Aide. Todays Orange Julius sold commercially is junk.
If you like pina coladas. And not into yoga.
You should see how yoga is a religion.
I like yoga pants and that’s pretty much it.
No egg? This is not Oramge Juliuus
Uforgot the egg!!!!!l!!!!!
I don’t mean to go off topic but you have PRETTIEST eyes.
Orange Julius used egg and water, no milk.
this is not the recipe i worked t the restaurant 19 years
Excellent how to video...but i must say i can tell you used to wear braces and are a little thick....cannot fool a fellow thick post braces fella! lol
This is an incomplete recipe. There are better, "correct" videos that include the missing "secret ingredient"
Every time you speak you stop doing whatever you are doing.
Why the long self-indulgent intro? No need for that. Just start into making the Orange Julius.
Hey this isn't fast and furious🤔💭
need raw egg
Childhood memories! I'll have to try this! 🍊 I'm glad there isn't eggs, I never got those in mine 😆
Can you send me one of your bras
