Yes and they put 2 eggs in it and mixed well! That's how they got that original custard texture and flavor. If you told them you didn't like eggs then they would just put one egg in your Julius. Lol. They were actually the leading seller of eggs in the 70's in America.
@@scottt3100 I remember my mother making something like this when I was little... but she only used the egg whites... She also made (whip) just the egg whites and a little sugar plus vanilla ..... Delicious. I drink this once in awhile when I want just plain protein and a pick me up... Love it.
I'd love an original O J from how they were originally made back in the 70s. They did not taste like a creamsicle at all. They were deep orange color and tasted like what Sunny D is today.
I know! I tried all these copy cat versions! Nothing exactly the same. Now I have to go to orange Julius in my mall because dairy queen stopped carrying the original mix.
Not trying to be rude but you posted this video so you can get a bunch of people to look at it and so that you could teach us how to make an orange Julius. You give all the measurements for different items within the vanilla you just start pouring it in there none of us have any idea of how much vanilla we need to use thank you
That is natural orange juice... the orange juice in a BOTTLE has added water. Organs juice concentrate is 100% Pure Orange Juice, no water added.... That is why when you make the orange juice you have to add water..
Remember when Orange Julius was its own store in the mall?

I remember it being expensive but worth😋 Remember the store looked like a cave or coal mine with large fake black rock walls, even like Hell🔥🍊🧡
Yep,that SHOWS our AGE,NOTHING EVER Been CLOSE to them.
There’s an OJ still at my mall in Gallup NM
The Vitamix will last for decades. My parents got one when I was 15. I'm 48 now, and they still use it.
I can literally smell that orange creamy goodness thru my screen.. Thank you!! Been looking on how to make this!!😋😋😋😋
I believe they put powdered egg whites in too. I am sure your recipe is good though.👍
THANK YOUUUUUUU!! Everyone posting this recipe keeps leaving the egg whites out. It’s not an Orange Julius WITHOUT the egg whites
Great job !
Memories of my childhood with orange Julius. They taste different now that I’m older but still go to Dairy Queen one in awhile to get one
Sodastream also sells an Orange syrup concentrate that tastes really good
I used 1 teaspoon of sugar was awesome!!!
Hi are you still there I know this was a long time ago
$4.35 for a small at DQ here in PA just last week :( tfs I'll try your recipe
Bev Erly $3.59 Oregon
Palmer Park Mall?
I'd love an original O J from how they were originally made back in the 70s. They did not taste like a creamsicle at all. They were deep orange color and tasted like what Sunny D is today.
Thanks!
Dang you did take it one step further 🙂
Unfortunately no ones cracked the recipe. They get close but there’s a reason dq can charge $5 for a small.

You for got the egg whites
I'll just use my blender, also there is a pina colada receipe for an Orange Julius, and i can use my ice cube trays, Less waste.and sloppy.
I made it but you should put a fresh orange in it

I agree
You still making this today?
Where's the orange powder! No OJ had ice or ice cream. But thanks. Need that powder! Gotta steal it!
You need orange juice... not powder... or even better... a REAL Orange.
All healthy smoothies there now in Canada. Hard to even get a hot dog.
I was looking forward to this video after seeing you drink one on Facebook. I'm gonna substitute vanilla almond milk for the milk. Think it'll work?
I personally think using almond milk will steer away from the original tasting Orange Julius. But give it a try. Who knows could be a new thing.
Yummy! TFS 😊
You used the WHOLE can of concentrate?!! Idk...
Super totally and totally super!!!

This smacks
Add bananas and strawberry! That's how I like em.
Now that sounds good!
You lost me with orange juice concentrate. Use natural orange juice.
