@@BroncoBleymaier that pass rush has been amazing to watch but watching Jeanty just be impossible to tackle is next level stuff, like watching Adrian Peterson or Herschel Walker level
Hats off to the dude that nailed his prediction, I didn't see this dominance coming at all. This team feels SPECIAL. You mentioned us finally being a 4th team, it was especially a nice change of pace for me after getting done watching the debacle of the university of Montana game lol
Yeah he was spot on and I think even he had some doubts but was being optimistic and he turned out to be exactly right. The fact that we have overcome both our second half deficiencies and our inability to stop the QB from the past 5+ years is absolutely astonishing!
@@BroncoBleymaier Exactly! In Georgia So. game, it seemed like they gave up 3rd down conversions, then lost confidence. Now they look like they recover fast.
Midway through the Duck game I thought this Boise looked like those 2009 Broncos. Not just the success but intensity of play. This week only further substantiated that. I genuinely believe that Boise cannot only make the playoff, but win playoff games. Especially if they can sneak that 8th seed and get a playoff game in Boise. That environment would be electric.
That would be incredible! I definitely am seeing flashes of our former glory! If we can just get the passing game solidified this team will be unstoppable!
I’m impressed with the defense and how they really turned it around. Great analysis, always enjoy your enthusiasm on the podcast. You lived in Boise and moved to where? Curious how far from Boise you are.
I was a military brat so always been on the move but I did live in Mountain Home during the Zabranksy days. Right now my job has taken me to New Mexico
That was an awesome game to attend live. I hope that Maddog can get the jitters out. We need a pass game to compliment the run. I hope that he's not listening to the outside voices continuously harping on him. I'd like to see him do more run plays. He's like Heddrick in many ways. Anyway, I was pretty frustrated with the refs. We should have had that safety. Watching it again on this video is just dumb how the refs called it forward progression...and at the 2 yard line??? Dumb. Oh well. Great game.
I love Jeanty… We would not be where we are now without him. Maddox has not shown me any ability. 1 good pass out of 10 doesn’t cut it for me. The defense has improved leaps and bounds 💙🧡💙🧡
GREAT win! I like Madson but I think this game showed his limitations somewhat. After the first drives, our Defense had me worried, but Kudos to our DC for making good adjustments and going beast-mode the rest of the game. Hats off to WSU. Tough team. Fast defense. If they had another legit offensive weapon (besides their QB's legs) this could have turned out differently. What to say about Jeanty? I don't recall ever seeing another RB like him, breaking 4/5/6 tackles virtually every touch. He is in Bo Jackson/Herschel Walker territory as far as pure domination. He literally broke the will of the WSU defense, which we saw via the unsportsmanlikes towards the end of the game. They did what they could and he just ran over them anyway. Really, REALLY special player. Would still like our DB's to play better pass defense. maybe turn and find the ball once in a while...
I have been supposed by the lack of interception in the secondary this year although it was great to see Tye break up that drive at the end of the first half
Wow. What a great job shutting WS down. Fun fact, Boise St leads the nation in sacks and loss of yards by sacks. Still need to balance the offense with more passing and sharing more run load with other RBs so it's not all AJ. I don’t live in Boise, so like you, I'm limited in the games I can go to. But excited I already have tickets for UNLV at Allegiant and Oregon St at Albertsons.
If it were any other year and we weren't playing 5 yards off of receivers in the secondary and weren't still allowing opposing offenses as many yards as they want I'd say im more impressed with the defense turning it around, but Jeanty has the potential, opportunity, and talent to leave Boise State with damn near every single season NCAA stat record for a Running Back and that is just bonkers. "Built Different" is an understatement.
Glad for the win. Jeanty was a beast as always. Our D-Line and O-line did well, too. Just wishing we had a decent QB playing and a better secondary. Madsen has some good throws, but still not where he needs to be for us to great. While I understand having an offense built around Jeanty, the team and our wins shouldn’t be resting solely on his shoulders. He is carrying this team on his back and that’s not how it should be. We shouldn’t be relying on one person to win us games. Yes we have some players but if it wasn’t for Jeanty we wouldn’t be doing well at all.
The loss of Caples hurt and so did the loss of Marshal. Got to rebuild that chemistry now. The improvements with Lauter are exciting and the potential is there. Games vs USU and Hawaii give that opportunity to grow
It was my first game in over 10 years that I went to. It was a great game and the noise of the crowd shut down and confused wazzu many times on offense. Our defense stepped up big this game. I'm still very concerned that we are only winning because of jeanty. Don't want to be that guy but I feel like malachi would get the job done better and can't believe he's not getting any real playing time.
@@BroncoBleymaier 5 for 8 on passes is not bad with some long passes. For his first playing time. When they mostly only let him hand the ball off and not actually play. They need to let him play an entire second half and not hold back.
Broncos lead the nation in sacks with 19, in 4 games (4.75 per game), by a big margin. Three teams have 18, but in 5 games (3.6 per game). Texas St has 2nd most in 4 games, with 15 (3.75 per game).
I actually feel like Jeanty has the chance to win Heisman. His storyline is picked up and I cannot copy his stats in CFB 25 even of Varsity (maybe I’m just really bad at the game) his odds rose to 4th (+1100) so as of right now he is supposed to be a finalist in New York. Boise State is also the heavy favorite G5 team in playoff odds with double the next team (liberty)
Defensively we are ok. Run game sweet, but we gotta get some kind of pass game going. The roll outs and screens/dumpoffs from madsen aren’t working. It might get us by the rest of the season but the first playoff game would be a joke
Did we need Madsen to play well in this game? No, but I think we need to start seeing some improvement from him. He does put the ball in harms way and his completion percentage isn’t ideal. I’d like to see him right the ship against Utah State. Other than that it was a great team win.
I disagree. We needed him to play well and I'm of the opinion that he did play well. I'm not saying you are, but there's people out there demanding perfection from him and that's not realistic nor is it fair. Humans aren't perfect. The guy has only started 5 games in his career and we need to give him room to grow. Trent Dilfer won a superbowl playing sub-par for a pro QB. Go look at his stats for that season. What Trent did do was manage the game well. I have high hopes for Madsen. I also want him to do better but I'm also keeping unrealistic expectations in check.
@@wapiti128 I’m not expecting perfection from anyone. But if you’re saying he played well is just ignoring glaring issues with his game. I’m not calling for him to be benched because benching him at this time would be lunacy. All I’m expecting is improvement, because I thought he’d be a step up from Taylen’s completion percentage and he has not done that. I understand you’re a Madsen guy which is fine. But, I just have concerns with his play so far.

I really feel if Koetter would’ve ran Mad Dog more in that 4th quarter, we would have scored again, confusing their D a bit. Mad Dog is an amazing runner and I think we need to visit this.

Very good point on "Bend but don't break...mentally." Defense looks mentally tough, you get the feeling they'll GET THE STOP.
