    Babajide and the past lagos state governors with vision, thank you all so much. Other states/regions are busy complaining, feeling cheated and looting funds that are meant for the development of their states and regions, While Lagos state is busy showing them that they can do it even without much intervention/support from the federal government. Keep up Lagos, let nothing slow you guys down.

      Plus the economy of lagos is 1000 xxxxx bigger than that of any other state and some west African countries. Lagos infrastructure should be far developed than this but them Thiefubus keep holding it back!

      Aframaco, but the relocation of the capital from Lagos to Abuja still doesn't slow Lagos down, with the efforts of the past and present governors of Lagos state.

      lol thank God you are not the designer.....we cant paint every train green...many lik this would be built and development wil become the norm eradicating the need for people like you to see everything in green. red line, yellow, blue and orange are planned and will be painted as such

      It would be painted in Lagos colors. It’s not a Nigerian project, it is solely Lagos state project.

    I always appreciate your steady positive news about infrastructure in Nigeria! Thumbs up! It is SO important that there are some hopeful signs on Nigerias (or maybe Westafricas) wall! Is it me, or are anglophone countries in Africa (Ghana, Nigeria, Botswana) doing better than francophone countries (Ivory Coast, Togo, Cameroon)? - Greetings from Holland!

      Yes I've noticed Francophone countries are very behind with very little to no developments. The poorest countries in Africa are all Francophone (except Liberia, Sierra Leone and Somalia).

      @@sweetlemonade6925 thre poorest countries in Africa when looking at per capital gdp are east and central African countries...Niger republic the poorest in west Africa comes in at number 8. The top 7 poorest including burundi and malawi and somali are eastern

    Lagos state needs to go aggressive on her sanitation enforcement to protect this expensive infastructure.throwing plastic bottles and thrash out of moving vehicles and into drains should attract jail terms

      Heavy fines like 10k or 20k. People are quick to blame the government for everything but simple things we should do to save the environment of filt is neglected.

      @@NedMedia For throwing garbage on the street , here in Germany we pay fines of 100 Euro and more, depending on the type of garbage. When I think of Lagos and other big cities in Nigeria I think it's bad that the garbage clogs the already problematic sewage system. But I guess there are definitely many people who have already changed their behaviour.

      @@martinanuhlen8810 There should be an active campaign against litter here, people are so used to it and it's very bad. No one litters his sitting room but people are too quick to throw stuff from cars. Even from public transport that they are not responsible for cleaning. Who do they expect to pickup the garbage?🗑 How our environment looks tells a lot about us. Cleanliness is next to Godliness.

Rather its the local communities and states that generate taxes for the federal government. It happens to be ours is an in efficient parasite that takes 60-70% of taxes generated in lagos, rather than the consititution limits of 30% like in most places of the world..

    From observation, maintainance is another major probl3m in nigeria , look how grasses are growing in our well constructed roads inside cities. It is not encouraging too.

      Don't forget that our land and environment are so fertile that even a cow would grow, if you plant it well in Nigeria😁😁😁.
      To be truthful, most of those weed grows, because of the lack of constant use of the infrastructures...I work in Ikoyi and pass through that area constantly, but it's been cordoned off, so less traffic passing through there, enables weed and grasses to grow there. Relax....vegetation is also needed to improve the green gas emission in our cities.

I worked for Department of transportation in Georgia and found that on roads that were closed for a long time or abandoned grass and weeds would grow up through the pavement but never on roads that were regularly used. This is a bad thing btw. Grass growing through the pavement will cause cracks to grow and eventually the road will buckle and crumble from this.

    Been following this project for years. Was all excited about it at first but after delay after delay I’ll only believe what they say when I see it. This line was supposed to be finished by now and other lines started on.

      This is the only path on the highly crowded CMS/Marina. There's already an elevated dual carriage way plus another road that's beneath. That's why the Blue Line is on an elevated platform including the Marina station.

    The Places U labelled Stations,are they train stations? Cos I know there is mile 2 station but I don't know of festac station. I don't understand the national theatre station. Who isgoing to stop there?there is No residential area close by

      National Theater stations looks like it will be an exchange station between Blue Line & Red Line. As for who will stop there, there's no other station until Orile, so it will serve Ijora, Costain etc

      @@NedMedia that will mean tricycles will be loading passengers from there to these destinations h mentioned.thats already an environmental disaster waiting to happen.hope the rail management doesn't allow that to happen.let the state shuttle buses integrate with the rail to provide seamless and organized transport service

      U are right bro , lago should start adopting vertical building system instead of these horizontal systems to creat lands for more infrastructures and reduce jams everywhere .     Lagos Government really need to work on the clean environment, why so much bushes around the road? Lagos leaders should learn from Abuja.

    Construction of over 15 years, na wah. By the time they'll be commissioning the road, bridges they'll have to go back to Orile to rework those roads, bridges and all again.
