In China hydrogen fuel busses are also replacing battery powered buses for the same reasons ,so not surprising!

Cracked frames ? EV? Electrical fire? that dog don't hunt! That story take a cork screw line to put down EV. Sounds like the transit management both upper and maintenance just do not know what they are doing. Worse, sounds dangerously like their maintenance staff at poorly trained.
