Hi, thanks for this. I just installed mine and it went well. Quick question, if the pilot blows out after being on for a while is it possible that gas would still come out ? I was thinking that because the thermocouple is so hot the safety valve may not kick in immediately. I am still hearing the pilot letting gas out after I blow it out.
About to light it up. If I don’t make it, three suggestions for anyone else smart enough to find and watch this video. 1. If you don’t have the yellow goo, you can buy yellow tape that works the same as the white tape you would use on a water fixture. 2. You don’t use the goo or the tape on the two compression fittings. 3. If your gas line enters the fireplace box on the left, and you need to purchase a gas line to bring gas around to the right of this device, there are several different lengths of gas lines that are available. I believe those suggestions (not mentioned in this video) are accurate, but you should check as I am not qualified or certified. Wish me luck.
Great comments Joe! Hopefully the installation went according to plan! Check the video at the 1:03 mark where we show the flex line connecting to the gas input on left and going behind the burner to connect the pilot system on the right. Should keep you toasty this winter! Enjoy!
@@StarfireDirect Everything went great. I have two fireplaces. The first one took forever to get right - all my mistakes and inexperience. The second one took 20 minutes. Your videos are way better than the enclosed booklet. (Better angles on the parts)
