    This movie was everything I wanted Army of the Dead to be and it succeeded with Flying colors.
    My jaw was on the floor,my heart was beating with every tense moment, the score had me terrified and pumped, the set pieces were money well spent, and my god the villians In this movie were fantastic.
    That final death on the Female honestly ranks up with the original Predator 1/2 and Aliens Queen villian deaths in just how goddamn pesky, formidable, ferocious and hard to put down it was, leaving its death all the more satisfying to witness.
    8/10,what a blast.

    with time travel movies like this, it's easy to pick holes in the plot if you think too hard. for instance, if they stopped the invasion before it happened then future soldiers would have never come to the present to recruit help, which means that nobody would have travelled to the future and died in a future war. at the same time however, if nobody travelled to the future then Chris Pratt would not have brought a serum back with him to kill the aliens so the future war would have happened, a basic time loop paradox which hurts your head lol

  • @Kingandhorse

    Despite the many stupid plot holes in this movie, it was really damn good and kept entertaining, freakiest monster design i've ever seen since the predator & alien. Amazing designs, but my god do they ruin the tempo of the movie sometimes "Fate of all humanity rests on your shoulders!" "I know mate but ima jump down here to help this chunky fella who's leg is super busted while there is bombs being dropped for NO reason as the entire world is overrun by whitespikes, so we'll bomb this one street you're on." And then the whole idiocy of him jumping after his daugther, yeah because THATS going to safe her and totally not end all of humanity in the process. The amount of STUPIDITY in the characters here is overwhelming.
    They should have had the daugther shoot herself to force her father on and force him to go on, instead we had a 5 minute scene abselutely wasting our time with stupidity. And in the end the entire main plot of the movie with the macguffin toxin was useless, they just blew the ship sky high with explosives in the end and used 1 dose on the queen when she was half dead lol.
    I can't get over how stupid the plot of this movie was, but god damn did those scary monsters keep it rolling, best monster reveal i've ever seen in a movie too, that staircase scene was terrifying!

    I did really enjoy this movie, but there were some parts of it that were just so forced it was just so annoying. Like, why the hell would they arm the soldiers with seemingly low calibre machine guns that do basically nothing against the aliens, rather than harming them with some heavy duty, high calibre, armour piercing weapons? It’s not like the modern military doesn’t have those in abundance.

    • @nstorm2415
      @nstorm2415 3 года назад +1

      Also if you remember the 50 cal sniper that Jonah jameson was using wasnt that much helpful either. They really needed to do those neckshots and bellyshots to kill the monsters fast so a fast shooting weapon was better for that. Also high caliber ammo weights a lot and you cant carry as many as the low cal ones.

    • @sulrana1812

      Could be explained as after 4 years of war they literally didn't have enough high caliber rounds/weapons to outfit foot soldiers

  • @gravityfallscanada

    Honestly, the family element wasn't needed. Chris Pratt shows no signs early on that he is dissatisfied with his family. He was only angry because he lost his chance at getting another job.
    As far as time travel movies go. This one seems to try to make the most sense of time paradoxes. The only major flaw is that you will never get the serum without going back, but aside from that I guess the other events are possible (in the most fictional sense of the word lol)...

    • @joeldantesadriano3682

      Why not? I've seen at least four friends having their marriage end in the last 5-6 years despite appearing they are all fine and satisfied. Take me back to 2014 and I would have said this could never happen to them. The movie simply used this possibility.
