I wish I have like minded friends who can go on a trip to Fuji with me too. This was so fun to watch. I love all your shots. Those panoramic shots were insane though. ❤😊
What a wonderful trip :), thank you for sharing it with us.. It was lovely meeting you briefly in Nara. I hope you managed to get all the shots and that the cherry blossoms will bloom soon.
I grew up using film cameras, and having a dark room in my basement. There is no way that I would ever want to go back to having to pay for developing. That said, you guys are so much fun to watch on your photographic journeys!
30:42 that small weaboo moment shots right in the kokoro ❤️🩹 I love these latest videos especially because it so fun to see all of your favorite creators in one video. Like my entire Instagram and RUclips feeds are mixed and blended together into one ultimate sweet slice of life moment full of aesthetics and wholesomeness
You look like you're having an amazing time... So pleased for you, Joe. I also recently caught the film/analogue bug, and started collecting old Minolta bodies and lenses... I just love the completely different process, it forces me to take real care with every composition (film is pricey now!) and every picture just means more. Enjoy the Nikon!
Cheers man! I’m really just jumping at opportunities that come my way since living in Japan - film cameras and all! Just ordered a pack of 10 film rolls for around £75 and that’s on the cheaper side 😅 I remember when I could grab at the checkouts in a supermarket!
I met Casey at the vintage camera fair in Ginza a little prior to the Fujifilm event, such a cool guy, super happy to talk him in person. Also, the guy at the camera store with a beanie is my friend as well, surprised to see him in this video. FM2T is definitely the single best beginner camera for film photography, good luck with that one.
Joe, what a treat to watch this video! That B/W 6 x 24 shot was unbelievably beautiful. Such an interesting place with great guys. However, can you please let us know more details regarding: the cameras you were all using? Thanks again. One of your best.
Welcome to Japan! I live in Iwakuni near Hiroshima up in the countryside. We renovated an Akiya. Swing by someday as we have a little guesthouse to stay in.

Just yesterday I was in kawaguchiko and this video was recommended, amazing.
This was a stunning, mind blowing video. Wow. Thanks for making it and sharing it! For the still photos, I wish you included settings in addition to which camera took the shot. A thought for next time?
I walked all the way round Lake Kawaguchi on my trip back in October but didn't get to see Fuji-san in all its glory...I was actually standing exactly where you were at the start of your day outside the hotel for a couple of hours but the cloud just wouldn't clear...I'll just have to visit again...
Wow, special edition X100VI! Very jealous. Failed to get one (in US) due to bots and scalpers. The FM2 brings back memories from my youth with bulk loading 36-exp B&W film. Didn't have the fancy T version, had all black body. Enjoy.
I’m afraid to go back to Japan, I’ll be tempted by all the high quality vintage cameras! Mine had the MD-12 motor drive since I shot sports so wasn’t as pretty 😅
hi Joe, but after I watched your Fuji video, I REALLY REALLY recommend you to book a room at Design Festa Gallery in Harajuku to exhibit yours and others pictures, I can't stress enough how beautiful all the pictures in the video are, especially the film and wide shots. If you need someone to speak Japanese with the gallery please let me know.
Hi Joe, gonna plan a solo first time trip to Japan next month :) Just wondering how feasible the trip like this would be without a car. Thanks for the video, I learned a lot!
It’s definitely possible from Tokyo, but you’re gonna be at the mercy of train or bus schedules and possibly a couple of taxis to/from hotel to Fujiyoshida town. As a solo traveller though, without the car will be significantly cheaper. In a group, splitting the cost justifies it easily.
FM2/T is a nice choice! Don't see the T variants of the Nikons very often in the UK - I picked up an F3/T myself somewhat recently but I had to do that via Japanese sellers on eBay 😅 The only thing I don't love on that era of Nikons is the film winder, which seems to want to collapse in on itself any time I'm using it, but otherwise they're great cameras. Now you just need to pick up a few more so you can have different film stock loaded in each 😆
I’d never seen one in person and then during this trip to Tokyo I saw 4 available to buy and we bought 2 of them! Added to the others who already had them as well and I think we might have a mini monopoly on them in Japan 😂
@@joeallam You're in the worst country in the world in which to develop a film camera habit - there's so many great quality cameras about, and all the store owners are so nice, that you're gonna have a shelf full of the things by next year 😆 At least you're not (currently) a Leica addict, I guess?
I’ve been to that cafe (and all the spots in the is video), and that spot across the road twice. My first time at that spot (across the road) I was the only person there, that cafe wasn’t there in 2019 and I swear the cafe open as a result of the foot traffic from that one single photo spot on that bend. Nice cafe but also feels like a tourist trap now. So much so there are 2 full time employee by the local government to stop tourist walking into the middle of the road at a red light blocking traffic, endangering themselves for photos.
Fujisan with a perfect snow-cap is of course the star (the supermodel), but my favourite bits are video of the ridge behind the hotels with a light dusting of snow, both on the afternoon and the morning after. Just beautiful 🙏
Yeah that view from the hotel was exceptional! I also loved the snow dust evaporating away. It stopped doing it quite literally within seconds of getting the shot 😅
Second. Such an amazing experience and my first road trip in Japan :)
Glad we could all hang out for such a long time! Looking forward to the next one 🙌
Didn't realize that was you at first @GxAce - big fan of your videos (as well as Joe's). Yall rock.
The crossover I never thought would happen! Casey, David, and Joe do Japan ❤
You should check my previous X100VI video as well! We’re all together in that one too! 🙃
That might very well be one of the most wholesome photography videos i've watched in a loooooong time.
So lucky to see Fuji-san! Wonderful photos! Thanks for taking us along!
Looking forward to seeing GxAce and David Imel more often, y'all three are awesome!
Every second of this video was a pleasure to watch. So many dope shots and good vibes. The ending was so perfect as well. 🙌
Great Video Joe - It's nice seeing the interaction with other photographers and their excitement too!
Gorgeous video!
Cheers dude! You should come hang in Japan some time!
Encompasses everything I love. Japan, cameras, chasing shots and good friends having a blast creating together. What a day. Kanpai 🍻
Loving this new justice league of cool camera youtubers in japan. Keep it up fellas, would love to join you someday.
Wow what a video! I loved every bit of it from the 6x24 to the banter between you all to seeing Mt.Fuji. Definitely a bucketlist location
I wish I have like minded friends who can go on a trip to Fuji with me too. This was so fun to watch. I love all your shots. Those panoramic shots were insane though. ❤😊
Love the vibe with this crew. Hope y'all get to do more fun stuff like this together. Makes me want to assemble my own little photography wolfpack....
Wolfpack sounds so badass - we are anything but that 😂 I’ll take it though! 🙌
This was really entertaining and pretty inspiring at the same time. Love it.
Amazing video! Makes me want to visit Japan even more!
This is such a joy to watch. And all of you guys photos are breathtaking!

This was such a joy to watch. Japan Joe is delivering everything we wanted.
This is not only a quality video (of course) but also entertaining. Loved it. I need to get to see Fuji in person.
Lovely film, adventure, photo nerds, art, beauty, culture, nature, beer and jazz. What more do you want?
Probably the coolest looking camera store I have ever seen. My bank account is very lucky that the store is on the other side of the world 😂
You look like you're having an amazing time... So pleased for you, Joe.

Fantastic video Joe! I’m enjoying these so so much! What an incredible collaboration too!

Wonderful video as always! Been following since the gifu/ishikawa documentary, thanks for providing us with the beautiful tour!
It’s my pleasure, thanks for the support all this time!
Incredible. Enjoyed every second of this!
Great video, those shots and panos of Fuji were amazing!
the ending was literally perfect
also holy heavens how damn beautiful was all the footage in this video my GOSH ty for sharing
素晴らしい視点ですね👍
Brilliant Joe 🙂 I was there in last November - incl. the Fab Coffee, amazing!
You guys are fire 🔥🔥🔥
Love the shots! My fiancé and I rented an electric bike in Fujikawaguchiko and bikes to all the locations you showed in the video :) I miss the trip
So touching watching it, is awesome 👏🏻
So excited to see so many film cameras, Mind to share the camera shop location?
Just found this channel and I’m very glad I did. Subscribed! Looks like you lot had a great time.
Such a relaxing video to watch. Keep it up.
Epic video of an epic trip with sone epic photographers 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
You know that moment when you see someone and their face rings a bell but you just can't figure out where you saw them. Well that was David for me 😅
Hey Joe… loved this and I’m so inspired for my first Japan trip in a months time. Do you have any advice on used Voigtlander lenses in Osaka?
Amazing. Congrats on the Nikon camera! Film is fun!

No hassel, only blad.
Love this video! Road trips in Japan are so nice 🤩 I also rented a Toyota Roomy for my road trip in Japan last year 😄

Please, which camera did you use to film the first scene?
Btw, new subscriber ❤
Wow you guys had the most incredible conditions, bucket list stuff!
What’s the strap that a couple of you had on the X100VI?
Wonderful video! Love the output of the H2S as well. Did you use any of your presets to edit them?
Lucky 🍀 you, guys!
Good on you for not wasting that #firstoftheroll. I'm a 0-shotter too.

The FM2 is such a beautiful camera, both in black and titanium. Surprisingly, this store actually had two of them in very good condition available!
I’m afraid to go back to Japan, I’ll be tempted by all the high quality vintage cameras! Mine had the MD-12 motor drive since I shot sports so wasn’t as pretty 😅
7:56 nice shot
Wonderful video. Thank you so much for sharing it. =)
Amazing video! Where did you get these braided straps on the vi's?
I remember when I used to drool over that Fuji 645 medium format in the shops when they were new, but could never afford it ☹

Joe, may I know the name of the hotel you stayed in with the view of Mt Fuji?

Are you going to sell prints? Would love to buy one

Did you ever make your "Made in Japan - Fujifilm" Video?
Hey Joe could you tell me the name of the hotel? Will be visiting in may and you inspired me to go there.
medium format film camera next ;)
May I know the name of that hotel? Visiting in two weeks and haven’t booked my room yet. The hotel looks pretty decent
David Imel….the camera geek from mkbhd himself.
Keep saying this but you’re living the dream !!!
Very cool

Easy win!
@12:57 _wtf?!!..._ That's like, within 5 meters max from the Kawaguchiko TV live cam... [watch?v=bdUbACCWmoY] You guys knew that, right?...

Stunning pics. Just not a fan of film.
