In partnership with the Tadami Line in Fukushima, Japan - watch behind the scenes making a commercial video and capturing some photography with @TokyoCreativePlay
This project has spanned about 6 months as we captured multiple seasons along the Tadami River in Fukushima, Japan. Fukushima is one of my favourite areas in all of Japan, and I've loved returning through all the seasons. Sadly we won't be covering the spring, which is a massive shame, so I'm contemplating whether to do that on my own personal trip...

WANT TO WORK WITH JOE ALLAM? - press@joeallam.co.uk
#Fujifilm #Photography #Travel #TravelPhotography
This whole country is a vibe, ok, I know it’s you, with music and colour grading but man, that place definitely adds something to it.
Thanks for really great 22 minutes, have a great start into the weekend, cheers 😊🙏🏻
Cheers! I'm thoroughly enjoying visiting Japan through a whole new lens now that I'm living here. Enjoy your weekend too!
LIterally living the best life. Well done.
The Tadami line has always been a fantastic rail photography spot, but seeing you tackle this location with videography, through multiple seasons, is refreshing!
🚃 Fantastic work!
Cheers! I’m glad to have experienced it in so many different seasons - such a beautiful location!
Your cinematography never ceases to leave me in a state of profound admiration. 😊👌
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
What a wonderful joyous video to watch, even better when you watch the official video afterwards, which you've linked in the description! Well done and looked so much fun!
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it all!
wow looks magical
Beautiful work! I am so envious that you are able to do what you love!
Stunning views and you look so happy to be there 🤩
It’s always a great time with this crew! 🤪
Great to see you out and about, Joe. Everything looks so magical in the snow. Brilliant work as always.
That's so cute that the gentleman wanted your autograph!
So hyped to watch this!
what a beautiful project Joe
14:43 すごい幻想的。。まるで水墨画のよう。。
As a Fujifilm shooter, as well as Japan enthusiast, I thank you for this awesome content!
Glad you enjoyed it!
It's a wonderful piece of work. I also love the scenery of Okuaizu. Please continue to introduce the charms of the Tadami Line.
Beautiful footage. Love to tag along on your adventures!
Absolutely amazing Joe! Loved watching this! The mix of Vlog + BTS is really cool. Showing us amazing and beautiful places in Japan! 😍
I guess it's just a matter of time we'll see Joe on "Journey Across Japan" series.
Would love to join Chris and the crew one day - always looks like a lot of fun!
Now imagine that last scene with a steam train rolling through it ❤
Oof, yes! That would be ace!
Stunning work on this one, Joe! Those drone shots- 🔥 😮
Thank you for sharing this beautiful video! I so enjoyed watching it.😊😊😊😊😊
Well done Joe, great photos!
This now has me wanting to cycle tour that area with my Fuji camera. Thank you.
Sounds like a great plan! I’m keen to cycle a lot as well!
What a great film! You are very talented Joe 🙂
From now on, I'll have something to look forward to; an englishman telling wonderful stories about Japan through his camera lense. It's a whole different world now. I can learn about photography and Japan at the same time without having to put up with Americans calling the Sony ZV1 "Zee Vee One.!!!
BTW, I've seen your Bangkok vdo. Now that you are not so far away, maybe you can come to Thailand more often. I know it's not the best place on earth, but it's my home and I love my country no matter how others think.
I spent 5 years in England when London was still The Centre of Cultures. Now there's nothing left for you to go back anymore. My English friend here in Chiangmai recently told me he wouldn't go back there, because " It's no longer the London I used to know."
Beautiful work Joe!
It is beautifully made. Amazing!
Incredible! Your videos just keep getting better and better. Great to see you working with Tokyo Creative! Some day I'd love to see you do a video with Norm @ Tokyo Lens
Wow amazing absolutely 💯 love it
I was happy and calm through the whole video. The peace you manage to transmit is inmense. Thank you for your work 💕
you got it!!
That Japanese man was amazing 😂 Why to some of us have the need to travel with a stuffed animal? I have done this over for so long. Lol I just assumed that I was weird. That is probably true but it's alway good to see others doing the same. This man and his teddy bear do care care what anyone thinks. 👍
Absolutely! I love the innocence to it all - very sweet!
great joe, great video.👏👏 Top.
Beautful video. Ive travelled by train in Europe, Africa, Vietnam and Australia and just love the experience. Your video is inspirational as yet another prompt to try a trains in Japan. My goal is to cycle tour in japan but i can combine that with train. Maybe not winter for the cycle touring !
Oh wow, they sound like great adventures! Trains in Japan are amazing, but I’ve also been very keen to cycle around a lot as well. A bit of both could be a great option for sure!
Just amazing 🎉
Amazing video!
Beautiful ❤
hey joe great contents, i miss your contents like these where you just travel and have fun around Japan and take some really good footage and photos makes me wanna go to Japan even more.
if you dont mind me asking, what DJI drone did you use? those were good drone shots!
You're so lucky to live in Japan ! Great video as always ;-) And the girl with you is so beautifull !
Those typical Japanese narrow river valleys are just unbelievable. And you're *not too shabby* with a camera on your hand...
*Σ(☉.̫☉)* 🙂 B1oody hell... so beautiful, thanks Joe
( shock/surprise when Shiori appears out of nowhere on that remote train platform - kawai overload - . Did not expect that...)
Haha! Yeah, Shiori is always great fun to work with!
What is the camera sling bag that you are using in this video? I would love to have one for myself
I love how subtitles are just sooooo random
Spent 2 years living near Aizu in the early 2000s. Such a great and diverse part of Japan. This brings back good memories.
Oh wow! I bet Japan was very different back then, yet at the same time, I imagine a lot of these rural areas have barely changed at all!
Google Maps would have been really useful back then. Have been back to Tokyo more recently. It was amazing how quickly you remembered how to navigate your way around. Catching up with Japanese friends, it was like we had never left!
0:38 That camera suits you 😅
Ha! This was what we were using to film the commercial stuff. I still prefer my Fuji 😏
fukushima, how is the radiation there? is it safe to travel?
1st
I just farted
Again?! I thought that was you.
Hmm, new girlfriend?
Great video!
I enjoyed this video so much. lots of beautiful drone shots and I'm glad to see a playful side of you. looks like you are having your best time while doing some work. You are blessed to be able to live in Japan.
I started the subtitles when you were talking in japanese, and now i'm more confused
Wow, thank you so much!
Shiori-san is always a delight, wonderful video Joe 👍 the work was worth it. Im now thinking a train holiday might not be a bad idea 😂
What about the Nuclear Power station in that area?
Welcome back Joe, this is the real Joe at work complete with trains and some fun. Keep up this and more train videos
Thanks Joe
Cheers from Andrew in Ottawa Canada 🇨🇦
You'll always find me where the trains are! 🫡
Oh nice. You got in with TC. They definetly pull some great creators in. Excited to see the future collabs. 💪
Been working with TC for years now - always a great time!
Love that part of the country, visited for the first time this winter and there was SOOO much snow 🥶
Liverpool Kev here...Thank you so much for a wonderful video...watched the official video too...My Thai partner's family live in this region...I would love to go.....but not practical sadly so your video even more appreciated...Thank you so much.....Liverpool Kev
Beautifully composed work, Joe. Enjoyed your video very much. You also do a wonderful job with your narration. Best wishes & safe travels.😊
You really are living the dream brother! Im working 60 hrs a week in construction, w/ a Nikon d5600 taking photos & enjoying THIS hobby. Thx for the content!!!!!
I use to vacation in Fukushima as a kid because my family tree is from that area. I haven’t been back since my great aunt and uncle have passed away. Hopefully I can go back. It’s been 30 years and I don’t remember what the old town looks like anymore.
Stunningly beautiful work Joe, you get to see the real Japan away from the cities, so rugged and beautiful in any season. Look forward to seeing more of your works in Japan. 👌👌
Even though I have nearly six months living in Japan during a year , but I never been to this beautiful place before 😢I hope I can visit someday.
Great footage and photos! Such beautiful locations!
I was there in a week ago, yes I really like this place so I been there a few times. I love your clip, so beautiful.
Such an incredibly wholesome video 🤍
Wauv. So good to see. Thanks for bringing us along.
Train enthusiasts - such an awesome thing!
Great job Joe Long Knee Allam!
Gonna watch this on the tv later
There’s a section where you have a Sony camera and a G lens. Have you been experimenting with Sony as well?
This is what we used to film the commercial pieces on this trip. Still love and use Fuji for my own stuff though
