Kronk’s bid: “Well, you got me. By all accounts, it doesn’t make sense.” Many of you see that there is no explanation to Yzma’s getting back before Kuzco is purely for the audience to see the slapstick of the 4th Wall
Why do I have the feeling that the writers couldn't come up with a reason how the baddies got there first, so they just decided to reference it themselves and ignore the explanation.
Well, the coconuts gag in Monty Python and the Holy Grail arose from them not having the money to rent horses (constraints breed creativity), but, in this case, I don't think it would have been too difficult for Yzma and Kronk to get carried away by unexpected winds and lost in the distance instead.
Because that is honestly the case but this is the type of film to use meta humor to it's advantage, honestly this is one of the biggest way to smack critics in the face Admitting to a plot hole using comedy, It literally seperates what is entertaining away from what we generally see a Disney film for, THE STORY lol In my eyes this kinda mocks the critics, forcing them to enjoy what they normally would criticize Yes, the plot hole being one of the best parts of the movie, Don't get me wrong this has not worked very often because it can be viewed as lazy and in some respects this joke can be but the delivery sells it all the way, When done right, it's just oerfect
1:24 Pacha: What does it look like? Kuzco: I don’t know. Just keep looking. 1:27 Pacha: Over here! It has to be one of these. Lions… tigers… bears… Yzma: Oh my… looking for this? Kuzco: No! It can’t be! How did you get back here before us?! Yzma: We… How did we, Kronk? Kronk: Well, you got me. By all accounts, it doesn’t make sense.

I think this is how Yzma and kronk got to the lab first: after falling into the river, they discovered a secret passageway that yzma had forgotten about years age, which allowed them to beat pacha and kuzco to the lab.
Good puppet and Godzilla and Kong and Pacha and Kuzco running about Destoroyah and Gigan and knonk and Yzma and boss puppet get Good puppet and Kuzco and Pacha and Godzilla and Kong
They fell down a literal plot hole
Oh my God...
And by all accounts, it doesn’t make sense.
The fact that makes this the best self-aware satire of that trope is absolutely amazing-
The only thing that could have made the movie better is if they’d made this joke.

Why even ask? It’s for extra laughs for breaking the 4th wall.

It literally seperates what is entertaining away from what we generally see a Disney film for, THE STORY lol

I saw this from another comment someone made on this video @evanc8057) and what they said was perfect. They fell down a literal plot hole.
Which is odd since Yzma's lab could just have an underwater shaft.
1:48 The answer, they fell in the river, that leads to the underground lab in a shortcut.
Can’t be the would have to swim against the turtelt the mountai up

Just like Kronk did, he pulled the "wrong lever" 😂

The one time a plot hole doesn't bother me in the slightest.
By all accounts, it doesn’t make sense
Huh you’re right normally this would drive me bonkers but it’s totally fine here 😂
Well, they fell right into said plot hole so i think it cancels it out
The big band music is what makes this scene.
AND the funny cartoon chase
And no dialog
This movie is so ahead of it’s time. If it were made today it would’ve made so much money
This film is comedy gold
Best decision that production team made was to change the original idea into a screwball comedy that shatters all the walls.
For the good of mankind we must preserve this timeless piece of gold
This clarinet music rhythm with the chase scene is very satisfying for the plot of this movie.
Nobody's talking about the map line joke, absolutely amazing
It was! Pure gold!

@@TheAntiDisneyEmperor Back to business.
In the italian dubbing, Kronk's answer is: "Good question. Everyone in the theater is wondering that".
One of the best background music of a 90s born kid's childhood.
The big band music was the best part of this scene. 🤣
Even she is confused of how she got there first.
1:45 I heard one of the foreign dubs has Kronk saying something like "I'm not sure. The writers are still trying to figure it out."
I can HEAR Kronk saying his line even without the volume XD

Just the fact that even Yzma doesn't know.
Kronk sounds like Joe Swanson
Same voice actor. Patrick Warburton.
That’s because it is Joe Swanson
